Background:
The daughter of Odin and Frigga, Valora Stormwind was bred and raised to be a powerful warrior. Trained in the arts of battle by the best and brightest Valkyries at the young age of twelve, she quickly rose through their ranks and proved to be a superior combatant, mastering her command of both weapons and the wind as she slayed any foe of Asgard that dared to threaten her or her realm. At only twenty years old she rose to the rank of 2nd in Command of the Valkyrie legions, second only to the mighty Lady Sif herself. She soon noticed the potential of a young Valkyrie named Alaria Frostbane and took her under her wing, teaching her everything she knew as she molded Alaria into her apprentice and helped her grow into one of Asgard's mightiest warriors. Valora fought in many wars against the other realms and became one of Asgard's most decorated and experienced warriors. Because of this, she was specially selected to guard a scientist from Midgard(Earth) who had discovered and ancient artifact that seemed to be a combination of ancient magics and futuristic tech. The artifact held immense power and was deemed to be dangerous to humanity, but it was too unstable to be immediately moved. During the time she spent with the scientist, Valora fell in love with him and became pregnant. The dark elf sorceress Mallara Darkmoon soon sensed the artifacts great power and attacked the laboratory where it was being held, her forces of dark magic easily slaying the armed guards there before they met resistance from the lone Valkyrie. Valora slew their entire force but was stunned by Mallara's dark magic and held helpless as the sorceress prepared what she hoped would be a final blow. However, Valora's human lover sacrificed himself to free her and she was able to wound Mallara and escape through a portal to Asgard with the artifact in her possession. Upon her return it was discovered she had become pregnant by a human, which was against Asgardian law, and she was set to be stripped of her power and banished to Midgard. It was revealed that she was pregnant with twin daughters and after she gave birth the babies were taken from her and split up by Odin, one being sent to Midgard while the other was deemed stronger and was raised by Alaria Frostbane to become a Valkyrie. Before Valora could be fully banished, a joint force of dark elves and frost giants attacked the city, and Valora joined her former comrades in battle, helping them beat back the invaders, while also taking what would have been a mortal blow for her father Odin. This act redeemed her in her father's eyes and her allowed her to remain in Asgard, though she was forced into Exile. She wandered the frozen north for months until she settled on a tall mountain overlooking the great city, naming it Stormwind Peak.
Powers and Abilities:
Enhanced Strength - Valora is incredibly powerful, with superhuman god-like strength that allows her to lift in excess of 500 metric tons. The limits of her strength are unknown and would appear to be limitless to mortals.
Enhanced Durability - Valora has incredibly tough skin and bones that are nigh unbreakable. Her skin is resistant to minor bladed weapons used by Asgard's foes and is all but impervious to any form of mortal conventional weapon. She also has extreme durability to temperature and environmental changes and while extreme heat can make her uncomfortable, it does not effect her strength or stamina in the slightest.
Flight - Valora can fly with ease, mainly due to her command of the winds. Her top speed is around 800 mph.
Enhanced Healing and Metabolism - Valora heals from minor wounds almost instantly and can heal from broken bones and serious injuries in a matter of hours. Significant injuries can take a day or two, depending on the severity. She does not get ill and processes poisons through her system incredibly fast.
Wind Control - Valora has mastered her element and has control over the wind in her general vicinity. She can use this to fly at incredible speeds or to aid her in combat, using bursts of wind to throw her enemies off balance or to pick up large objects to throw at them.
Weapons Mistress - Her extensive combat experience has made Valora a master of all weapons in the Asgardian arsenal, but she prefers her twin single bladed battle axes. Each axe weighs 10 tons and their blades are sharp enough to cleave a frost giant's limb off in one swing. Valora wields them with power and precision, using them to chop and cut a bloody path through her enemies.
Valkyrie Warrior - Valora has been a Valkyrie warrior since the age of fourteen and has mastered a variety of combat disciplines that make her a formidable foe for any who would dare enter combat with her.
Random Facts:
Valora has two pet wolves, Aiyana and Aura, who she enjoys taking long walks on her mountain with. The wolves are fiercely loyal to her and are magical in nature, allowing them to transfer into giant war beasts if the situation calls for it.
Stormwind Peak has a fully functional observatory, which Valora can use to monitor the stars and other realms, though she mainly uses it to keep track of her two daughters. She watches them both grow, her heart aching every day to be with the children she brought into the world.
Valora is close with Heimdall and Freyja, who both defy Odin to visit her on her mountain from time to time.

A very important character to my universe that I have been brainstorming and working on for the better part of a year. I'll be posting a codex entry and journal for her later that explains her importance and how she has really helped me tie everything together within my main character's universe. While I love the Norse lore and heavily designed her and her supporting cast to fit into it, Valora was also heavily inspired by Lord Saladin from Destiny's Rise of Iron expansion. While I am loathe to give Bungie credit for anything these days, I really enjoyed that expansion with all the snow and the Norse/Viking looking armor, the mountains, and the beautiful wolves wandering around everywhere. I also really liked Saladin's character as this older guardian who had basically put himself in self-imposed exile atop Felwinter Peak where he kept watch over what was left of the Iron Lords former territory and mentored young guardians in the Iron Banner.
Lord Saladin -
I think her battle hymn would be something like this - www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5sfUQ… (At least that's what I listened to on repeat while creating this...)
Valora Stormwind, Mallara Darkmoon, Alaria Frostbane, Lianna Stormwind, and Tiffany Anderson are my OCs and may not be used without my permission.
