American Dagger Moth (Acronicta americana)The American Dagger Moth (Acronicta americana) is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is distributed through the whole of North-America. The adults fly from April to September and have a wingspan of 50 to 65 mm. Host plants include many trees such as alders, ashes, birches, elms, hickories, maples, oaks, poplars, walnuts, and willows. The caterpillars can be seen from June to October.

The way the light hits it is stunning :3 It reminds me of the old mangled wire brush we have lying around my school auto shop XD
