I read the comments from the photographer regarding the original photo. She was in another world, listening "Everstar" from the second Lord Of The Rings Soundtrack. Really an inspired song... She was "towards the within"....
"Towards the within" is a song too... a Dead Can Dance song.... It's my inspiration to this work...

Well... that will be hard for the judges to decide the winner... As I said in one previous comments, you have both a great style but different... there are great things in both results, but I am not the one to decide so:

I've gotta admit that I have an unfair bias toward vector, since I've tried this style and it's so damn difficult. You either have to hold a natural "knack" for it, or you have to try very hard to accomplish such feats. This is an incredible effort with an element of deceptive simplicity. Very good work, keep it up.

Yeah...the vector art has some peculiar characteristics.....It's very hard to make smoothness forms and shadows....I try to do a style where I can to apply similar effect without being the proper effect....where I can to substitute them well....
