Commissioned by ~holidameTHIS IS IN REFERENCE TO TULIO AND PHOEBUS BOTH BEING VOICED BY KEVIN KLINE. IF YOU DIDN'T GET IT WHEN YOU READ THE COMIC, NOW YOU DO. SO THERE.
*laughs* But yes, first time in a WHILE since I've drawn Miguel and Tulio (no, you can't find any earlier pics of them in my gallery, so don't even look). But I like how it ended up!

Oh gosh I love The Road to El Dorado. Its one of the few 2D animated movies that makes me laugh EVERY time I watch it. Up until now I didn't connect that Kevin Kline did them both.0:

Har har har, I love Kevin Kline. A good movie to check out is "Sophie's Choice." An early film of his that is both historically interesting as well as entertaining.

Holy fricking gods, you now own my Internet...this is simply awesome! "The Road to El Dorado" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" are seriously my favorite movies ever. Dear God, I love the whole Kevin Kline vs. Kevin Kline irony, and you captured it perfectly in your comic.

BUT I know as an artist you wanna hear more than that right? It's one thing that you could've changed for the better (to me):
In the second panel the "What's that I hear" gesture usually has the hand lower, and the index finger pushing only the lower half of the ear, but hey, I could just be me...

I must have a thing for con-artist characters. THEY DO ROCK. And they are so adorable and gay. And I think the gay is intentional. Seriously. Here's something I copy+pasted from the Wikipedia trivia section:
Originally in the script, the relationship between the main characters (Tulio and Miguel) was supposed to have more of an implication, with each calling the other by pet names like "darling." This would have heightened the tension when Chel came between them and when they argued about splitting up.
