I'm sorry Fenris fangirls out there, but Anders took the best romance cake for me. A man who loves cats is awesome, plus his character was deeper and played a huge part. I like to imagine my Fem Hawke giving him lovely gifts like this.He likes cats whether or not Justice approves.
Also if you guys post this anyone where please tell me, I don't mind if you do. It's free game but I like to know where it gets posted. : )

I really love this! I still can't compare his romance to Fenris because he was my first romance and I'm trying to get Fenris in my new game. But, in my mage game, I kept him with my fem hawke and I do hope he gets a happy ending like this we her, he deserves it.

Yeah, Fenris is nice and all, and he usually opens up with Hawke when the time comes. So it's really nice.
But to me it seemed like Anders despite him talking about not wanting to break hearts all he wanted all along is to not be alone.

You know, ever since I read the codex for him in the 3rd act. I believe he's like this alone with Hawke. I believe even though he has his sad side, he's probably so sweet to her/him.

They should have SHOWED more of that in-game, though. I hate how they rely on the codex and time-jumps for most of their character development in DAII. JUST PLAIN CHEAP AND LAZY. .\ __ /.

During my first playthrough, I went with Anders all the way. I loved his character in Awakening, and this change in him in DA2 didn't deter my love for him. It sucks how many people seem to hate him now, though. Just visiting the Bioware forums irritates me; especially when that vocal minorty who severely hate him calls him vile names.

Probably because he's so different from how he was in Awakenings. But of course, he's changed a ton because he merged with Justice, and of course, because of what he does at the end of the game. >>

yeah.I think it's bcouse he sent to whole place to heaven.it was surprising but his intentions were good though.he was right,there wouldn't be any peace anyways.and that demon Justice...well,its one of the things which makes Anders a special man,right? to be honest,I would be disappointed if he didin't had anything big to do at the end of the game.OH,talking about "difficult ways to solve problems",how about Fenris? it's weird how people love and hate him at the same time.he's more violent than half of the characters in this game lol

Seriously. It's weird how people pick and choose. I think even Mr. Scary Bad Ass Assassin Zevran, whom so many hate, is more inclined to mercy and empathy than Fenris. And Zev was just as much a victim as him. I like how Zev, despite being a slave, was too proud to play victim or angst at everyone. Yet that seemed to be one of the things that put people off. People just seem to really have a thing for angsty serious violent types. I don't hate Fenris, but he's far too hateful and self-obsessed for my liking.
I'm definitely Team Anders/Justice for DAII. I think it's way too depressing, the writing. They torture him a bit too much (though he suffers beautifully), and I really miss Justice. Why am I the only one upset (besides Anders) about Justice's loss? Becoming a demon was poor Justice's greatest fear. ;_; And Justice was such a sweetheart I had a bigger crush on him than Anders.

Well, I totally agree with you. I think this just makes him a more three dimensional character. I like to see more to a character than just his happy go lucky side. It's a change I grew to like, and it attracted me to his character even more.
On my second playthrough I did romance Fenris but to me it just didn't feel as fulfilling, like the romance was there it was just done in a way that I wasn't too much of a fan of. Like when Anders confesses his love for Hawke it felt so romantic. He talked about how he longed for Hawke every night for 3 years and then of course goes on to basically eat Hawke's face with his face. Ahaha.

In general, though Anders romance was great, I miss the way the romances were in Origins a bit more. The only way we could really talk to our LI's in DA2 was through quests, in Origins we could just strike up a chat basically anywhere. I did like in DA2 that Anders ate Hawke's face with his (XD I love how you put it that way!) and he comforted Hawke/was with her after your mother dies. I don't know, there are good new things from DA2, and old things that ae missed when romancing companions from DA: O.
I heard rival romancing Fenris is better, though I can't attest to that myself.

I miss the old DA: O ways aswell, I liked alot of things from DA: O that DA2 didn't get quite well. But that's a different story.
