one of the five sketches of the main character of a comic strip i'm doing for my digital art class. Allow me to introduce you lot to Itzlimaitl, which means "obsidian hands" in nahuatl. Here's a backstory i wrote last night.

In a cavern village in Tepeyollotlan, there lived a 14-year-old boy named Teoxihuitl, which means "the precious stone turqoise", and he lived happily with his friends and family. But one day, bandits in service to Yaotl Izel attacked and raided his village, kidnapping half of the people living there, killing families, looting their homes and teocalli. Those who resisted were killed off. some of those who survived fled for their lives, few rushing to the tlatoani to warn the tlatoani. The rest of the survivors were taken to Tytoland not only as slaves and sacrifices for Izel's dark magic, but also to turn the strong into obsiditecs, mindless obsidian mannequins made from obsidian meant for war and destruction. They did so by surgically inserting dark magic obsidian pieces into the people they captured, including Teoxihuitl whose name changed to Itzlimaitl meaning obsidian hands, giving them crystalline powers for war, including skin harnening. but unlike the captured, because of his purity and memories of his past life, he grew a conscience, became scared of Tytoland, and sailed away to back to his home. when he got there, he was so full of despair he wandered his home country.
