From a brief collection book I did with one Susan Meyer ([link] )back in 2002 for Otakon. Sadly, this cover concept DIDN'T make the deadline set, but I hoped at the time to return to it one day...
This just might be the time.

The image is very dynamic and the details o fthe griffon's head is very good, sketch or not.

This is obviously inspiring you to do something with the same type of imagery on something else, or maybe you like the potential characters you've got here. Either way, you should definetely make a note of revisiting this sometime in the future, otherwise you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life.

You should return to it, maybe make some corrections to it (2 year gap would mean you weren't as experienced as now.) It would be awesome if CGed

I agree, the Griffon's tale in the bg looks alot more natural....maybe that closet wing is a little small/ovalish....but other then that it's a very cool looking pic, could use some hardcore inks and/or colours....keep at it man.

Beautful! THus far^__^ It loosk great! However, there is one sugegstion I'd like to make, in your image yoru character seems to be propelled forward, with great speed, judging by the gryffins head and action lines, however the gryffins tail seems to be limp and stationary! I think it should be going back or perhaps whipped to the side, But thats just my comment ^__^;;;
