Hey wait a minute, what am I even doing in this school ?! Why am I here ?!!Cause you're one of my favourite anime characters of all time and I felt like drawing you, shut up.
Seriously though, this joke would've worked with pretty much any other character in our place but, eh, I felt like drawing Crona. Don't think I ever have. Which is a shame. I do really like Soul Eater. Easily second favourite series of all time, right after the Negima manga.

Lapis Lazuli, can't tell if anime character, or someone's been playing Minecraft XD. These comics are so great, I love the sunlight joke comics. Poor Rainbow and Crona though, they definitely didn't sign up for that XD. I think it's time for them to find a new study group.

Crona? Crona?! From "Soul Eater"?! Oh, my - yes! YES! But, what about the rest of the gang? Also, Marshall Lee is from "Adventure Time", right? Or, am I confusing him from another show? And Lapis is from "Steven Universe", right? Golly! Two characters that I think I know but their origins are forgotten by me!

I'm a sucker for crossovers (in case you couldn't tell from all my other stuff) and I like to throw random characters in these kind of situations. In this current storylne Canterlot High is a school where pretty much any animated character can attend. Including the Soul Eater cast. Crona's just my favourite. ^^

It's a manga series by Ken Akamatsu that was completed a few years ago. It's this comedy/adventure/harem/magic awesomness kind of story about a young kid, Negi Springfield, who in order to become a full-fledged mage becomes a teacher in an all-girls school. The first few volumes are kinda meh but once the story gets going it gets really good and the action is simply awesome.

Another fun little comic, really fun and nice to see - and happy to see someone made it out from the bottom of the ocean. Though I am curious about one thing - the last name of Chrona. Where did "Makenshi" come from? No offense or anything, but I never heard it before.

To be honest I don't know either. I simply googled "crona's last name" and then came across the urban dictionary where he's listed as Crona Makenshi. I've also read quite a few fanfics where his last name is Makenshi. I don't know if it's just a fan thing, like with Derpy, or if it's offical but I liked the sound of it and needed a last name for the comic to work, so yeah.

Hmm. I did search for that after reading your comic (again, it was rather fun) and seem to of found the same result. It does not pop up on the official wiki, and while I have not watched the English Dub of Soul Eater nor finished the manga, I have never heard of it. I believe, like you said with Derpy, it may just be a fan thing. That, or maybe someone on the Soul Eater team hinted at Crona's last name in an unofficial method or possibly with the sister series, Soul Eater Not. I always would of assumed his last name would be Gorgon, due to that being Medusa's last name and I doubt she was ever married, at least with her personality.

Hm, yeah, you've got a point there. Though in all honesty "Crona Gorgon" just sounds kinda weird. That does make me wonder though... maybe whoever was Crona's dad (if he ever existed at all) was named Makenshi and that's where the name comes from. But I doubt that's official. There is never any mention of Crona even having a dad. I'm sure there's some story behind that name, but it's probably mostly fan-based.

Yeah, I expect the name came from the father, if anywhere. Maybe it was something brought up when talking about what the story for the next arc in Soul Eater would be in a meeting or something, and was just hidden/scrapped. But it is probably just from some fan-work.

King, I figured out where the name "Makenshi" came from. I realised it when rewatching one of the earlier episodes in japanese.
In episode 20 Maka fights Crona for the second time. After a brief brawl and some dissing from Ragnarok, Maka introduces herself as 'Scythe meister Maka' and asks Crona's name. Crona answers, in Japanese, with 'makenshi Crona', which can be translated as 'Demon Swordsman Crona', refering to the weapon. However, in Japanese the last name comes before the first name and so, when just spoken, you could argue that Crona's last name is Makenshi. It's very unlikely though and probably just refers to the weapon, but I can see why fans took it that way.

Ah, that makes a good deal of sense. I normally do not watch subbed anime (though I did with Soul Eater, so not sure how I missed this), but I have seen occasions where words are not translated all the way. For example, I have seen one or two things which kept the word "shinigami" instead of translating it to "angel of death" or "reaper" or something similar.
So, Crona's last name was just a title.
On a side note, really happy to see our favorite little demon sword and his/her senpai back in your works.
