This is the first drawing in my sketchbook, and it is my favorite of all of them. Seriously, something clicked when I started drawing this--and it was my first time drawing anything equine. I still haven't thought of a name for him.

1. My first time drawing a horse body (and actually understanding the horse anatomy).
2. First profile drawing.
3. First time drawing a head with a new style I'm trying.
4. First time drawing hair that isn't just a bunch of lines run together.
5. First time making hair shiny ( ).

I don't exactly know why his hands are in those positions; I was just practicing hands. And even though the left hand isn't completely in the right position someone would normally hold it, this is still my favorite drawing. I tried to make a front view of him, but it's horrible in comparison, so I'm not putting it up."
