from an AU where Devin levin, and professor paradox are the same person, ( because Devin was born after the portal incident / only needs to exist for 10 years in kevins life i have multiple timelines for how this could work )
1. he lives as paradox, the portal throws him to the future, he isn't insane yet and tries to live a normal life and get back in time, because he's an alien he naturally joined the plumbers, but trying to go back drove him insane, he forgot everything exept the lab. and to make someone being erased from existence make sense in the minds of people who knew him, from their perspective he died )
2. he was Devin levin first, got set back in time ( in this version he didn't die in Maxes arms) and built the portal to try and go home
3. two timelines, one where he gets thrown to the future, and one where he becomes professor paradox exist simultaneously but occupy the same place as if they were actually only one. because professor paradox exist outside of time.

regardless of how it's possible: he has no memory of kevin but has a strong sense that he's supposed to protect him, in this AU paradox obsesses over preventing kevin from becoming evil, changing the timeline as much as he can, even if that means making it so he never existed in his life at all, this is also why he does stuff like gives kevin a brand new car, and seens to like kevin, or at least he likes joking around with him.

i gave him horns because i like the idea of power causing physical mutation. and they look cool. they're fitting, branching off in a way that is symbolic of the tree of time
