Thistlekit was born after the radiation, during a very cold and harsh leaf-bare. It was difficult for his mother to get clean water and fresh-kill, so he is the only survivor of the litter. He shoved this aside to stay loud and distract his mother from her grief, growing to care for her deeply and forget all about his absent father.
