This was drawn in 45 minutes with a wax pencil.

My mother has a habit of falling asleep before the television, but she agreed to "pose" for my drawing, sitting on the couch, television blaring.

Within 10 minutes her head nodded back, and she went into deeeeeep sleep.

I took advantage, taking the time to sketch her comtase figure. I'd finished her hand when she bolted awake - she blinked for a few minutes, completely forgetting why I was sitting there with my canvas, a grin on my face.

Needlessly to say, she DID not like the drawing, since she nodded off to have her face skin bunch up in a rather amusing way.
