Just thought I'd put this here before the year ends.

This is the final I did for 3D Animation with Maya class. The presentation here is pretty slapped together lazily, so I uploaded each photo onto Tumblr for those who want to see a bit more. Speaking of lazy, I already typed out most of what needs to be said for the Art Summary , so... *waves copy-paste wand*
Fall semester started, and so I took a 3D Animation with Maya class to better learn how to use Maya. I already had the program, but just couldn't wrap my head around it because I was so used to Blender! This class helped sooooo much. Anyway, the instructor encouraged us to get to thinking of our Final projects pretty much the second week of class. I immediately thought to do a robot butterfly, probably because of all the Insecta concepts I'd been drawing. *-* I underestimated the heck out of how long this would take to finish! It really didn't help that my version of Maya at home is newer and is in Japanese (silly story), not to mention having to use the tablet in place of a mouse. Reaaaaally disappointed knowing all that I wanted to do, including rigging it and animating it a bit, but no matter... I still did incredibly well! I really am happy with it.
