Description

Welp, I should probably explain. When explaining the idea of the cover with Haruhi, we discussed a lot of changes that needed to be changed from the sketch I made. We both agreed that Zephyr’s sketch I made of him was kinda bad. So, she changed it while doing the line-work, and made it a lot better than the sketch. Heck, Zephyr here looks better than my redesign I did for him Last Year. If you recall, I said that Zephyr’s original design did not look like a Wind Dragon and was too bulky. My original redesign had way too many elements in him that did and did not fit in. Haruhi’s redesign has him have fewer elements that fit, but also keeping the sleek, not bulky body. Also, it may look like Zephyr is attacking Soarin, but Zephyr is just wanting a new playmate to play with. Yeah; my idea is that because of Dragons being so rare and somewhat dangerous, Zephyr does not have anyone to play with so much. So, when he saw Soarin defending Sally, he thought it was a game of keep-away with his partner’s mate. Yeah, that’s my Zephyr headcanon. Oh, it’s also Smaugust. So, here’s a free Smaugust (which means Dragon art challenge month, like Mermay, Kaijune, and my Piratestember) artwork for you guys; I am still bad at drawing dragons. Also, if you have not noticed, Julayla is on the cover, but was only talked about in the story. Why is she here on the cover like that? Welp, to answer that, I need to give you guys a hint at what is to come. If you can guess what is coming (Haruhi, I’m sorry, but I want you to let someone else guess this, sorry ) I will do a free Pokemon and Sonic character, and it has to be canon Sonic characters (Games, TV Shows, and Comics, IDW and Archie only) crossover requests, for free! Are you all ready? Your two hints are that ”Hint #1” I have mentioned this type of element before and it’s on both of the twins I have, and ”Hint #2” I have mentioned two characters who have this amount of power in my mother’s day picture this year. That’s all I’m giving you guys on this. Answer both hints and you will get the Free Sonic and Pokemon Crossover Picture. Okay, review time!

  • Sonic Annual! I’m going to go off on my least favorite short stories and then my favorites. First off, “A Rough Patch” Rough and Tumble are having difficulties and decided to do things on their own for a heist and get Rouge and Tangle involved, Tangle was told to help protect the Emerald (Oh yeah, the heist is for a Chaos Emerald in Jewel’s position, then Rouge’s hands by the end) and Rouge was going to take it as well. In the end, the brothers make-up and Rouge gets the Emerald in the end. Yeah, I feel that was kinda a waste. While we had a Rouge and Tangle team-up, but Rouge gets away with the Emerald in the end, I hope she brings it to Knuckles to keep safe, technically the Chaos Emeralds belong on Angel Island. But yeah, I really did not like this story. “Another Grand Adventure for Jet the Hawk” is next (I swear I’m not going by story order). Jet gets involved with one of Whisper's take-down giant robots missions and ends up getting rescued by her, after she screams at him. Yeah, I won’t hide it, I really am not a fan of the Babylon Rogues. Jet in particular; and his room in this story just dropped it down for me. The only thing that I liked was Whisper shouting at Jet and leaving him behind stuck in a hand. That felt good to me. Up next is “Hero Camp”, Orbot and Cubot are trying to find ways to catch Sonic, with kids and Cream, and fail, with Cream basically taking charge of the Camp. Why is Cream going to a Heroes Camp when she already is a Hero from helping get the Chaos Emerald to save the world from the Zombot Virus? Maybe it’s just for fun. This was a cute and funny end with Orbot and Cubot getting captured too. I’m convinced this story takes place during when Orbot and Cubot took their vacation away from Eggman. Then there is “Weapons”, where Omega and Gemerl are testing out their new bodies from the end of Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 36. In the end, both Gemerl and Omega gain an understanding of each other, brother rivalry, and need repairs again by the end. It was cute and funny to see them fighting. That leaves “Future Growth” and “Guardians” tied for number one. Why? Two main characters, Blaze and Silver! Finally, we get their returns! Let’s talk about “Future Growth” first. Silver returns for the harvest of his Garden he and Blaze started (call back to the first Annual by the way), and he is feeling down since his future is safe now and he really doesn’t have a reason to go back to his friends in the present. Espio comes in and talks some sense into him (how their relationship is that strong is from “Sonic Rivals 2”), and reminds him to just have Faith. It’s simple and it reminds us to not lose our faith in ourselves and our friends. And Espio really is the right person to do this, since he is a ninja and tries to not think about what comes next. If you ask me, I personally think Silver belongs in Sonic and friends' time, as he’s been friends with them and may not really fit in in his time. But, that’s my opinion. And finally, let’s talk about “Guardians” with Blaze and Knuckles! FINALLY, KNUCKLES AND BLAZE TALK; I CAN NOT TELL YOU GUYS HOW MUCH I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS! Being Guardians of sacred Gems and usually isolating themselves to do their jobs. It was the best thing for both of them. I always wanted this interaction, as Blaze and Knuckles are the best two to understand each, but the differences are that Knuckles is alone on Angel Island and Blaze has others to help with her Royal Decree. Knuckles does convince her to relax for a while since she has defeated all of her enemies out for the Sol Emeralds and the Jewel Scepter (that and Marine make their first appearance in this story by the way) and Blaze takes it to heart and takes her vacation back with her friends. I’m just now hoping she appears in a mainline issue enjoying herself or helps out in a fight. This annual had its ups and downs, but I can safely say that “Future Growth” and “Guardians” were the highlights of this annual and I can’t wait to see people dubbing the two stories.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog IDW Issue 52! Yeah. I delayed this from posting because issue 52 came out a week after the Annual came out. So, was the issue a good way to conclude the story that involves fights of doppelgangers? Well, yes and no. Honestly, this felt like a rushed story. With the heroes, it felt like they were left out. For Surge, it felt like she got retribution from the last issue as she got only one-page last time. This kinda became a problem for the issue. Instead of following the fight with Kit and Metal Sonic, most of the issue focuses on Surge’s next move. Now, that isn’t bad, but it took away from the heroes' escape fight. I get that this was to prepare for Issue 53, the next issue, but this could have been spaced out better. If I could fix this, I would put the escaping from the smelting room in issue 51, it would mean some of issue 51 would be shortened, and I would have to take some of Sonic’s battle out since it kinda took a little too long. That way, we could have a little bit of a balance. Oh, and we finally see how Surge is going to force the Wisps to help her. Yeah, this issue gets a 6/10. This was a meh issue. I liked it, but the flaws did show more than the good.

  • Sonic Frontiers News! So, I messed up with the new character. It’s actually Sage, the rogue A.I., that is near the robots. I am still excited for the game by the way. And it seems that the characters (Our Heroes) are in a bad spot now. With Amy stuck in a capsule (please no more of the memory lost theory guys), and Sonic’s arm glitching out while confronting Sage. I can’t wait to see how this all comes to.

  • CGI He-man Season 3! MAJOR SPOILER WARNING BY THE WAY FOR THE END OF SEASON 3! So, season 3 came out on Thursday the 18th of August. How was it? Actually got dark in some spaces, but also made me excited for what might come next. I won’t reveal much here, but the basics are that King Grayskull used Havoc to defeat the Snakes, got the power to his head, was killed by Eldress, and then his corpse was used for Skeletor. Man, that got scary. And it wasn’t even the one that got me wanting more. It was the end scene. You all know that I like “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power”, and there were still some questions. One of them was the origins of Horde Prime. Well, I think I know who Horde Prime is, yes, is. Before Season 3 came out, I thought that Havoc separated King Grayskull into two people, The King and Horde Prime. But now, there’s an even better option. So, Evil-Lyn’s special move is called “Wings of Horakoth”; when hearing that for the first time, I just thought it was like another Eternian deity, like Zoar. Then I realized something, Horakoth could also sound like another character. Horakoth almost sounds like Horde. And at the last scene of Evil-Lyn meets Horakoth in the flesh. Now, most people know Horakoth as the Deity for the Horde, but what if this version of Horakoth is both a Deity and Horde Prime from She-Ra? I know it’s a stretch, but come on. When seeing Horakoth for the first time, I immediately realized why Horakoth sounded so familiar. It almost sounded like Horde. I had to look it up, and apparently, Horakoth is the Horde’s Deity. Hence the many bat symbols. Now, this idea may be wrong, but what if Horakoth and his people, meaning Horde Prime’s original army, decided to fight alongside the Snakes, but because of Havoc Grayskull, Horakoth decided to send Horde Prime to conquer the Universe instead? This would explain more about the behaviors of the Eternians during their expansion. Horakoth gave Horde Prime some Pure Havoc and the Eternian King after Grayskull, knowing the truth about Grayskull’s usage of Havoc, decided to expand their reach as well, wanting to finish the job. But, because of the usage of Etheria as a weapon instead of a living planet. Much of this is just speculation, but come on fans. Wouldn’t it be cool to see more about this? Horakoth and Evil-Lyn could start their invasion and the Masters realizing that there is supposed to be a Sixth Master and it’s Adora. Originally, Adora, from “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power”, was listed as Adam’s sibling in the CGI He-Man Wiki; it was then changed to Krass as Adam thinks of Krass as his sister. I have seen a lot of people saying that the 2002 He-Man series was the one where 2018 She-Ra came from, but I was like “If that’s so, then why are the Eternians portrayed as they were first shown on television, having advanced technology but not that advanced?”; it just never felt right. The CGI He-Man came out when Revelations kinda failed and showed an Eternia where technology is really advanced that it doesn’t look like it’s still medieval. Plus, Ork-0 can do magic. Oh, and I forgot to mention the Orko, the actual Orko in the series, is so cute! But, yeah. That was my rant on He-Man and She-Ra guys.

  • Pokemon Stuff! So, there’s a new Pokemon that everyone is saying is the pre-evolution to the box legendaries. Yeah. A new ability that makes you turn your Pokemon into Poke’ Dolls. An item that makes more hitting moves hit more times. Oh, and more Terastal Phenomenon stuff. I still don’t like it. It’s a gimmick, and I kinda wanted the new gimmick to be cool. Since the last gimmick we got made moves amazing (Agile and Strong Styles count as a gimmick here guys), I was hoping for it to be another forms gimmick. But, oh well. And, yeah. That’s everything that I have to talk about.

Sonic, Sally, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and Nicole belong to Sega

Zephyr belongs to Haruhi actually made the design of Zephyr in the cover, but Zephyr still belongs to Liyu.

Julayla (on the cover) and this version of Rosie belong to me (I will explain the Orange Form later)

The Cover is a collab Cover me and Haruhi did, I did the sketch and colored while Haruhi did the line-art

Shout outs to , , ,

That’s it for now guys. Now, I do have to inform you all that school is coming back into my life and I need to focus on that a little bit more. Things are going to be chaotic for a while, and I need you guys to wait out for me okay? The next cover will come out later on, which, hey it’s my favorite character’s cover! Oh, this may be random but I’m going back to Sonic characters and Pokemon again. It’s why I made the mini guessing contest. But, right now, I’m looking for Pokemon suggestions for three characters; Mighty Armadillo, Sonia Hedgehog (that is not Furfrou (I hope I spelled that right)), and Cream. I already have a Pokemon for Cream set team, but she needs two more Pokemon, and Mighty and Sonia need three suggestions. And if you are going to ask, yes I have considered Sandshrew and Sandslash. The problem is that I don’t know which variant of them I can give. Do I give the pure ground type variants to Knuckles because he digs and give Mighty the Ice/Steel type variants because of steel being defensive? Or do I flip it around? Why am I concerned about Knuckles’ team? Because recently, I decided I would make trainer I.D. cards for the Sonic characters. I just finished Sonic’s and was going to work on Knuckles’ and Tails’ cards next, when I ran into this problem. So, yeah I need help. And remember, Mighty’s Pokemon suggestions need to fit with not only my version's story, but also his character as well. And no, I will not accept the Slacking line (I don’t like that line). So that’s all I have for now, see you all when I post Day 3’s cover and as always, Stay Frosty Frostbitters!
