Mentioned a few time on Mike's redesign and the study of Apotrodites and Anodites, Mike has a pretty sucky relationship with his parents, especially after a certain incident when he was a child, which caused his parents to lock him away in their home, in fear for his and their safety. I figured this song reflected them quite well, in the sense that Mike does understand why they did what they did, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt and damage him throughout the years, sometimes feeling like he's the reason for how nervous their family feels. He is still pretty angry with them, no doubt, and may never forgive their choices...but that doesn't mean he doesn't wish things were a little better between them, like when he was little, before everything went wrong...
