CrystalPhoenixBlader here, bringing in another chapter to the fanfic! It seems a vital clue was found last chapter, but it ended in a cliffhanger! What secrets did the research papers and the crystal in Iggy’s case foretell? Stay tuned and find out! Just to be fair, this will be a serious chapter, so you are warned.

Anyways, I don’t own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER characters belong to Namco Bandai. So, with all that aside, let’s sail through the cosmos back to the action!

A Galactic Plot Unveiled, The Secret of the Crystal

*Insert Theme: “Suspense Theme” (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga)*
The group had finished the latest mini game, considering Yukiho’s plight with the Chain Chomp, when Polari asked the group to head out to see Rosalina and Benjamin. Mario began to grow concerned over what the cosmic princess was about to say. “Luigi, I can’t-a help but-a feel a foreboding feeling in-a my chest.”

“I-a know whatta you mean, Bro. I too can’t help but feel that this might concern da Lumas. And also, da Idols are-a now caught up in da middle of da mess!” Luigi frowned, which got Ritsuko’s attention.

“I know what you mean, you two. For some reason, I feel pretty uneasy that what that creature is planning might affect more than just you two and the Idols. So please, what had happened before?”

The brothers, remembering the two universal adventures they had before, decide to come clean to Ritsuko and explain on the way of Bowser’s past plans within the Center of the Universe.
Iori, looking at the brothers, seemed a little confused. “What’s with Mario and Luigi, Yoshi? Ever since Green’s nabbed that case and gave it to Benjamin, he’s been looking worried.”
“I wish I knew, Iori-chan... “ Yoshi sighed as all the Idols and all of Team Mario proceeded to Rosalina’s bedroom dome.

*End Theme*

Meanwhile, at the Center of the Universe...

*Center of the Universe ~ Bowser’s Throne Room*

*Insert Theme: “Bowser’s Theme” (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team)*

Bowser had his throne turned around to quietly watch the stars above him. There was one sun close to his location, two in the distance, and three which are far beyond reach. As the Koopa King is lost in thought, especially with the crystallized Makoto placed carefully on his throne, Bowser Jr. enters the room and sees his father’s quiet face.
“Ey, Papa! What'cha thinkin' about?” The mischievous son quickly asked his father, to which the Koopa King quietly turned his attention to his son with a calm smile.” Oh... Junior... hmph, you read your father like a map, son. I was thinking; If I ever succeeded in conquering the Mushroom Universe, I might not want to be call just plain ol' ‘King,’ especially when I am going to rule something bigger than a kingdom!”

Bowser Jr. put his hands on his hips as he began to make suggestions to find titles that would suit his father at that level, each of them Bowser denied on the spot, either for not having enough impact, or just being too corny for words to describe. Just as the suggestions continued, Kamek entered the room, his back aching from coming in contact with a large stalagmite earlier. “Milord?” The robed Magikoopa asks.

Bowser, noticing that Kamek was absent for a bit, asks, “Kamek, where did you go?”
Straightening his glasses, the Magikoopa quickly answered the question, “Causing trouble at Moo Moo Galaxy, Your Impatientness. Anyway, have you tried, ‘Cosmic Emperor?’”
Delighted at the ring of Kamek’s suggestion, Bowser happily responded, “Hey... I think that's GREAT! I can see it now... Peach, she will be the Cosmic Empress always at my side! And for my next crystal encased decorations... on the left of my throne- Luigi, the Cowardly Green Bean... and on my right- the Red Menace: Mario. Bwahahahahahaha!”
Bowser Jr. happily added in, “Yeah! I like it, too! And I am Papa's and Mama Peach's Cosmic Prince!”

Completely delighted, the Koopa King finished, “That's right, Junior! One day, the shooting stars will be streaming the galaxies spelling our names in plain sight!”
..Speaking of shooting stars, a figure began to spiral downwards at a very absurd pace in the form of Iggy’s own Koopa Klown Kar... and it began to plummet like a meteor near the royal father and son!

“YOW!!!” Bowser, Bowser Jr. and Kamek dive out of the way, just in time before the vehicle crashed.

*Ding!*

“...EeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”

*Insert Sound Effect: “Cartoon Crash”*

*End Theme with Record Scratch sound*

The dust settles to reveal Iggy’s Koopa Klown Mobile lying upside down next to a perfectly outlined crater in the shape of Iggy himself, who struggled to pull himself out of the hole he made and looked pretty shaken up like a smoothie.
“Ughngh... ergh... eyyuagh... Heeeee...! Yowzers, that was NOT the crash landing I had desired... *KOFF*!” Iggy groaned, his glasses cracked from the impact.
Kamek turned to what looked to be the view of the viewers, (Hey, HEY! That’s fourth wall breaking, you know!) “Now who saw THIS coming?!”
*Resume theme: “Bowser’s Theme” (Mario & Luigi: Dr
eam Team)*

“IGGY!” Bowser rushed over to the injured Koopaling without hesitation. Iggy looked at the Koopa King and was pretty startled for some reason. “WAH-HOHHH! K-King Dad! ... Er... King Dad, why are there so many of you? Have been practicing duplication magic?” Bowser could only drop his jaw at the comment.

“Uhhh, Iggy? Your glasses are broken again.” Bowser Jr. deadpanned, pointing to the damaged eyewear.

“Huh? AGAIN?! D'AAAAAWWW, NO! This is like, between the tenth and twentieth time they got broken!” Iggy frowned as he examined his damaged glasses, but then Kammy entered the room, wondering what the commotion was all about. “Oh, young Master Iggy, you're back already. And failed again, I see.” The old crone deadpanned.

“I don't you rubbing salt in my wounds, you old hag!” Iggy, looking alittle annoyed, yelled at the old hag, which Kamek took offence to.

“YOUNG MASTER IGGY! That's my mother you're yelling at!” Kamek yelled at Iggy, but then Kamek used a small wood walking stick and bopped Kamek in the head.

“Kamek! Lower your voice when speaking to your master!” Kammy angrily yelled, which made Kamek drop a tear, “But, Mother...!”

“You can it, too, Kamek!” Iggy retorted, but before the argument could escalate, Bowser, habving a visible ‘anger mark’ on his head, roared angrily.
“SILENCE!!!!!”

*End Theme with Record Scratch Sound*

The two Magikoopas and the Koopaling were struck silent over their king’s rage. To add things up after five seconds of silence, Bowser stomped towards Iggy and growled, “The thing is you failed me... AGAIN, Iggy. That's not going reflect well on you in the future... But nevermind that. What was the performance of your Megalegs?”

*Resume Theme: “Bowser’s Theme” (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team)* (Again...)
Iggy adjusted his damaged glasses and gave his report, “Though they have been destroyed, Megalegs X and Y performed superfluously and may have some advanced adjustments. I should’ve added King Bill Blasters... No, scratch that; the cannons may be too big and heavy for the Megalegs to carry like I thought before...”

Upon hearing the report, the Koopa King scratched his chin for a bit, “Hmph. Speaking of King Bills... I'll going add those King Bill Blasters to my Grand Doomship.”

Kamek smiled as he turned to the king, “Right ahead of you, Your Thoughtfulness. And we've got four of its wings ready for attachment to the biggest of all our Doomships ever made.”
“The wings?” Bowser wondered, as Kamek began to finish his statement, “Yes, Your Awesomeness, we need eight more of these special wings installed to keep your awesome vessel in the air.” The Magikoopa then pulled out a picture of what is planned to be the finished look of the very battleship. The Koopa King took a look at the picture, and his face began to show a very pleased look as the very Doomship was looking like everything he hoped for, “... I see. Big... scary... AND AWESOME. Perfect for a Doomship as big as that!” The Koopa King was looking at the picture of the estimated project sot ightly that his son became excited, “Hey, Papa, Kamek, lemme see! Lemme see!”

..Soon enough the group was distracted by some rattling noises, which seemed to come from Iggy Koopa, who was shuffling through what possessions he brought along in his Koopa Klown Mobile... and noticed something was missing... “Uh oh... Oh no... Oh nonono, crud, NOOOOO!!!!”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Comedic Curtains” (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team)*
Kammy, startled by the Koopaling’s scream, looked at the miscreant with a concerned face. “Young Master Iggy? Is there a problem?”

Iggy began to panic, “A carrying case containing a copy document on my Luma Research is GONE!!! HOOOHHH!!!!” He began to feel a little out of breath from his panicking, much to the Magikoopas’ discomfort. Bowser Jr. placed his palm on his face and responded in an unimpressed tone, “You made copies?”

Iggy looked at the Koopa Prince and responded, “Of course. I made four copies. And I lost one of them...”, but then his jaw dropped in realization of what might have happened to the case. “Wah! Mario might have it in his hands right now! Good thing I remembered that it has a code to open it, and then everything would be compromised.” Bowser could only drop his jaw as he gave no comment on that particular matter, but Bowser Jr. was not amused. “Well, I hope they haven't cracked it by now. For your sake.”

*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Neo Bowser Sunrise” (Mario & Luigi: Dream team)*
“But if they did, just to be sure, I know who can distract them... King Dad, I must continue operating the Galaxy Convertion Machine. Please let Lemmy put the red light on for the plumber and his friends...” Iggy turned to Bowser, who nodded, knowing what to do.
“I'll have Kammy go take him over to Mario's location and, Kammy, while the group is distracted, grab one of the girls if you can, please. I'll give you extra credit if you bag Peach!” Bowser gave his direct orders to the old crone, who happily accepted the mission as she grabbed her broomstick.

“Your order is as good as done, Your Awesomeness!” Kammy bowed down before getting onboard her broom and taking off. Kamek called out just as she was heading to Lemmy’s position. “Be careful, Mother...”
“And good luck to you both!” Iggy waved his hand, but just then, a Chain Chomp with a bandage on his head appeared with a whining sound and landed smack dab on the Koopaling, squishing him flat as a pancake.
Reinflating himself, Iggy recognized the particular Chain Chomp, “*Koff*... Chomplex...? *Wheeze*... Is that you...?” The Chain Chomp barked happily at the Koopaling. Kammy looked back in confusion, “Is this the fourth or fifth time that has happened? I lost count.” Bowser could only groan and press his palm at his face.

*End Theme*

*Insert Sound Effect: “Fail Horn” (The Price is Right)*

Menawhile, back at the Observatory...

*Rosalina’s Comet Observatory ~ Bedroom Dome*

*Insert Theme: “Luma” (Super Mario Galaxy)*

The entire group followed Polari to the Bedroom Dome of the Observatory. There they find a forlorn Rosalina looking at the stars holding the research papers in her hand and Benjamin holding the crystal. Toadsworth and Prof. Gadd transported a large Game Boy Horror he made before to Luigi first hand before the green plumber arriving, and he used a large pullet to carry it over.
“How’s the new Port-a-Pulley I made going along? It was a trifle difficult sending the Extra Large Game Boy Horror over to your position without some trouble.” The ghost researcher asked.

“It’s-a working fine...now.. here we- go!” The green plumber set down the pulley so that Toadsworth and Gadd can communicate for the time being.

Polari introduced himself first. “Milady, we're all here.”
Producer-san then made the initiative to ask the first question. “Rosalina, whatever could be the matter?” Ritsuko joined in as well, looking at the cosmic princess’ solemn melancholic face. “Have you figured out what that beast is up to?”
Rosalina sadly frowned, not saying a word, but Benjamin decided to save her the trouble. “"Mostly, I am the one who figured it out. But Rosalina on the other hand... Er, Rose?"
Rosalina turned around and stepped forward to see the group. From the large Game Boy Horror, Toadsworth asked the cosmic princess, “So, whatever is that dastardly fiend, Bowser, up to this time?”

The cosmic princess faces her attention to the Mario Bros. “Mario, Luigi... Do you remember what I told you, back at that time where my children sacrificed themselves save us all?”
The two super brothers began to realize as they began to have to have a flashback of that very moment after they thwarted Bowser’s first universal conquest.

*FLASHBACK*

*Outer Space ~ Spiral Vortex*

*Insert Theme: “Star Babies” (Super Mario Galaxy)*

Mario and Luigi were just saved from a devastating black hole created from the explosion of Bowser’s planned galaxy that nearly had the chance to completely destroy the Mushroom Universe. Many Lumas, including the one given to Mario and Luigi, sacrificed their lives to obliterate the black hole, but for some reason, Mario and Luigi were spared. As the duo opened their eyes, the large figure of Rosalina appeared before them as the sound of babies crying echo in their ears..

“Do you hear the baby stars? These newborns will grow to become galaxies someday.” Rosalina spoke to the brothers. Mario took interest in the subject, “Ohhh...”
Luigi, feeling a little sad, began to object, “But-a Rosalina... Luma is-a gone, too... why...?” The green plumber could not shake the image of that very Luma waving goodbye to the brothers before he plunged himself, along with many of his kind, to stop the black hole.

Rosalina calmly answer Luigi’s question with an answer she can clarify, “When stars die, they turn to stardust and scatter across the cosmos. Eventually, that stardust reforms to create a new star... And so the cycle of life continues. But the cycle never repeats itself in quite the same way.”

“So...? Uh...” Mario began to wonder what the cosmic princess meant.
“So... you'll see.” Rosalina simply answered, and before Mario could get the chance to ask again, Rosalina faded out of sight as the brothers disappear from the vortex... and appear outside Peach’s Castle asleep with Peach and Bowser.

*Rosalina’s Comet Observatory ~ Bedroom Dome*

*Insert Theme: “Sad Song” (Yu Yu Hakusho)*

Mario and Luigi remembered clearly the conversation and began to show saddened looks on their faces.

“Lumas have a way-a to be-a reborn after dey die...” Mario started off quietly, while Luigi finished, “... And-a grow up to become-a new galaxies.” Peach and Daisy were sadly quiet over what they heard.

Rosalina nodded and looked at the group, “Yes... However... the bespectacled turtle who attacked the observatory from before... These sheets are his research on the Lumas... Everything about them.

One thing I neglected to mention... is that the older the Luma, the bigger the galaxy.”
Everyone who heard was completely astounded at what they heard. Takane frowned, not really liking what the Koopa Clan had planned for the Lumas. “Those turtles.... first kidnapping Makoto, then using the adorable Lumas for THIS? This time... they have completely went too far."
“Takane... I normally would say something against that, but in a case like this, I’d have to agree!” Hibiki looked at the Silver Queen with fiery determination in her eyes.

Prof. Gadd, with a serious look on his face, replied through his end of the monitor. “Do you mind if I held onto those papers if you please? What else have you uncovered?”

“Well, we we’re trying to discover what Bowser wanted with the Lumas, since naturally it takes centuries, even millennia for a full-fledged galaxy to form.. That's where the crystal comes into their plan.” Polari pointed out.

*End Theme*

“The indigo crystal in the carrying case from before?” Hibiki wondered quietly.

*Insert Theme: “Equivalent Exchange” (Full Metal Alchemist)*

Rosalina nodded sadly and turned to Benjamin, “Benjamin, if you please?”
“Of course.” Benjamin nodded and moves in front of Rosalina and faces the group holding out the crystal. “As you should know, especially you- the Super Mario Brothers, there is galaxy you all not visited and we won't go to that consists of many planetoids that filled with where this crystal shard originates from. What's more, is that it familiarly is a crystalized form of one of the Universal Elements."
“Universal Elements??” All the Idols present, as well as their Porducer asked in unison.
Benjamin pulled out a chart of the Elements and showed to the crowd, “"There are Thirteen Elements in existance; Ignus- the Fire Element, Terra- the Earth Element, Tonitrus- the Thunder Element, Ventus- the Wind Element, Glacies- the Ice Element, Aqua- the Water Element, Umbra- the Shadow Element, Lux- the Light Element, Tempus- the Time Element, Spatius the Space Element, Vitam- the Life Element, Mortem- the Death Element and the Divine Element- Divus... The following Elements each have their own links to one another and have their own categories called Subelements." The Idols each take a look at the chart and have different thoughts on the matter, some with interest, others not so much. However, one was certain to them, it completely relates to the crystal that was in Iggy’s case Luigi nabbed.

Then, Benjamin put on a dark, serious tone as he pointed out one more subject on the matter, remembering his past experiences. “But there is the Fourteenth, but Forbidden Element, the Devil Element, Malus. The one that is known to corrupt both body, mind, heart and/or soul. I've come across this Element one too many times and much I love to talk more about this, but thing is the crystal here is actually Tempus in a crystalized form. "But Tempus in a crystalized form."
Ritsuko, who clearly paid attention to the subject of the Elements the best out of all of the 765 Pro and 876 Pro crew, took a clear look at the crystal. “So you mean... it's time... trapped in a crystal.”

Benjamin nodded, “Precisely, Ritsuko. The power of time is constantly sought after by many for several reasons. Like slowing down one's time to go faster than others, to slow the movement of foes, freeze time specifically around you or in a specific area, time travelling... even control one's age."

“Control one's age?!” All of the Idols stare at Benjamin with strong interest all of a sudden.

Benjamin’s turned calm as he spoke, “They could use it either slow or stop aging to attain youthful longevity..." All of the females in the entire group, not counting Rosalina who knew better, are in thought, imagining themselves still young from such a power. Unfortunately for them, Benjamin’s voice turned serious and slightly creepy as he spoke, “Or use it on others to age rapidly 'til even their bones turn to DUST!"

*End Theme with Wheel Skid Sound, then Glass Break Sound*

“YAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!!!!!”

The Idols snap out of thinking and scream, Yukiho is deathly frightened and crushing Producer-san in a hug, kind of hurting his spine while the Futami Twins embrace each other tightly like children after a ghost story. Benjamin looked at the frightened Idols while Mario and Luigi just stared with blank expressions with no comment on the matter. “I know what you were thinking... a thought you chose... poorly.” (Why does this remind me of Indiana Jones trying to decipher which cup is the Holy Grail of Camelot? Well, Donovan chose the wrong cup and...well.. Let’s just say he met a gruesome end. Look, I’m NOT going to spoil things for that movie! Why don’t we just get back to the subject?)

“Geez, don't give us a scare like that EVER again!” Eri gasped for breath after that scare.

Ai began to wonder for a moment and asked, “So if Bowser already has a Time Elemental crystal already, what does he plan to do with it and the Baby Lumas?”

Rosalina turned to Ai quietly, “It's just what we had discussed: We learned they were using a shard to age the newborns and force them to become larger galaxies...”

Mario began to realize from what Rosalina was saying as he shouted out, “So Bowsa is-a planning to recreate his galaxy and-a try to conquer da universe again!!!”

“Correct.” Benjamin nodded, but just then the shrill sound of Kammy Koopa echoed around the Observatory.

*Insert Theme: “Kammy Koopa” (Paper Mario)*

“Mweeheehee!! Would Mario and the Idols come out? I’ve been planning a little playdate with Lemmy!” Kammy called outside. Of course, everyone heard the noise.

“What now, Mr. Mario?” Ritsuko turned to the red plumber.

“Kammy Koopa! She must’ve come here to do some-a kid-a-napping again!! No doubt this-a time, it’ll be-a Peachy who’s-a next!” Mario answered, which made Toadsworth obviously panic.

“Master Mario!! Whatever you do, do NOT let the Princess out of your sight!! I’m already getting heartburn just thinking of what that witch would do!!!” TOadsworth yelled out in a frantic frenzy, making Prof. Gadd shrug.

“You got-a it! Oh, by da way Prof. Gadd. Here are-a da research papeas you need!” Mario quickly turned to Prof. Gadd on the monitor of the large Game Boy Horror.

“Yes, place them near the monitor and I’ll use the warping feature on the Game Boy Horror and my Poltergust to retrieve them!” The bespectacled ghost researcher answered before he readied his old Poltergust 3000. Within moments the large Game Boy Horror’s warp systm went to the test as papers created ripples on the screen like drops of water. After a few moments, the transfer was complete and the research papers landed safely in Prof. Gadd’s hands.

“The papers are here! I trust you and the girls will take care of things?” Prof. Gadd gave the confirmation of the papers’ safe delivery and asked the red plumber.

“Don’t-a worry! Just-a leave it to Mario and da Idols of 765 Pro and-a 876 Pro!” Mario smiled.

“That’s great to hear! Prof. Gadd, signing off!” Prof. Gadd smiled before the connection ended. Mario began to wonder what Kammy would come here for as he, the Idols, and the rest of Team Mario prepare for what the old crone would have in store.

Sorry if this one lacked mini games and seemed chatty, but why not add some suspense of Bowser’s plot for good measure? The large Game Boy Horror with the warp features was in “Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga” during the optional events upon making coffee at Starbeans Café. Also, throughout the chapters, though it’s pretty late to say this, I’ve been trying different music to fit the mood. The music used, of course, belong to the original owners. Anyway, there is a bit of spoilers where the tune, “Star Babies” is concerned, so if anyone has not played “Super Mario Galaxy” ...oops...

Bowser, noticing that Kamek was absent for a bit, asks, “Kamek, where did you go?”
Straightening his glasses, the Magikoopa quickly answered the question, “Causing trouble at Moo Moo Galaxy, Your Impatientness. Anyway, have you tried, ‘Cosmic Emperor?’”
Delighted at the ring of Kamek’s suggestion, Bowser happily responded, “Hey... I think that's GREAT! I can see it now... Peach, she will be the Cosmic Empress always at my side! And for my next crystal encased decorations... on the left of my throne- Luigi, the Cowardly Green Bean... and on my right- the Red Menace: Mario. Bwahahahahahaha!”
Bowser Jr. happily added in, “Yeah! I like it, too! And I am Papa's and Mama Peach's Cosmic Prince!”

Completely delighted, the Koopa King finished, “That's right, Junior! One day, the shooting stars will be streaming the galaxies spelling our names in plain sight!”
..Speaking of shooting stars, a figure began to spiral downwards at a very absurd pace in the form of Iggy’s own Koopa Klown Kar... and it began to plummet like a meteor near the royal father and son!

“YOW!!!” Bowser, Bowser Jr. and Kamek dive out of the way, just in time before the vehicle crashed.

*Ding!*

“...EeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”

*Insert Sound Effect: “Cartoon Crash”*

The dust settles to reveal Iggy’s Koopa Klown Mobile lying upside down next to a perfectly outlined crater in the shape of Iggy himself, who struggled to pull himself out of the hole he made and looked pretty shaken up like a smoothie.
“Ughngh... ergh... eyyuagh... Heeeee...! Yowzers, that was NOT the crash landing I had desired... *KOFF*!” Iggy groaned, his glasses cracked from the impact.
Kamek turned to what looked to be the view of the viewers, (Hey, HEY! That’s fourth wall breaking, you know!) “Now who saw THIS coming?!”
*Resume theme: “Bowser’s Theme” (Mario & Luigi: Dr
eam Team)*

“IGGY!” Bowser rushed over to the injured Koopaling without hesitation. Iggy looked at the Koopa King and was pretty startled for some reason. “WAH-HOHHH! K-King Dad! ... Er... King Dad, why are there so many of you? Have been practicing duplication magic?” Bowser could only drop his jaw at the comment.

“Uhhh, Iggy? Your glasses are broken again.” Bowser Jr. deadpanned, pointing to the damaged eyewear.

“Huh? AGAIN?! D'AAAAAWWW, NO! This is like, between the tenth and twentieth time they got broken!” Iggy frowned as he examined his damaged glasses, but then Kammy entered the room, wondering what the commotion was all about. “Oh, young Master Iggy, you're back already. And failed again, I see.” The old crone deadpanned.

“I don't you rubbing salt in my wounds, you old hag!” Iggy, looking alittle annoyed, yelled at the old hag, which Kamek took offence to.

“YOUNG MASTER IGGY! That's my mother you're yelling at!” Kamek yelled at Iggy, but then Kamek used a small wood walking stick and bopped Kamek in the head.

“Kamek! Lower your voice when speaking to your master!” Kammy angrily yelled, which made Kamek drop a tear, “But, Mother...!”

“You can it, too, Kamek!” Iggy retorted, but before the argument could escalate, Bowser, habving a visible ‘anger mark’ on his head, roared angrily.
“SILENCE!!!!!”

*End Theme with Record Scratch Sound*

The two Magikoopas and the Koopaling were struck silent over their king’s rage. To add things up after five seconds of silence, Bowser stomped towards Iggy and growled, “The thing is you failed me... AGAIN, Iggy. That's not going reflect well on you in the future... But nevermind that. What was the performance of your Megalegs?”

*Resume Theme: “Bowser’s Theme” (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team)* (Again...)
Iggy adjusted his damaged glasses and gave his report, “Though they have been destroyed, Megalegs X and Y performed superfluously and may have some advanced adjustments. I should’ve added King Bill Blasters... No, scratch that; the cannons may be too big and heavy for the Megalegs to carry like I thought before...”

Upon hearing the report, the Koopa King scratched his chin for a bit, “Hmph. Speaking of King Bills... I'll going add those King Bill Blasters to my Grand Doomship.”

Kamek smiled as he turned to the king, “Right ahead of you, Your Thoughtfulness. And we've got four of its wings ready for attachment to the biggest of all our Doomships ever made.”
“The wings?” Bowser wondered, as Kamek began to finish his statement, “Yes, Your Awesomeness, we need eight more of these special wings installed to keep your awesome vessel in the air.” The Magikoopa then pulled out a picture of what is planned to be the finished look of the very battleship. The Koopa King took a look at the picture, and his face began to show a very pleased look as the very Doomship was looking like everything he hoped for, “... I see. Big... scary... AND AWESOME. Perfect for a Doomship as big as that!” The Koopa King was looking at the picture of the estimated project sot ightly that his son became excited, “Hey, Papa, Kamek, lemme see! Lemme see!”

..Soon enough the group was distracted by some rattling noises, which seemed to come from Iggy Koopa, who was shuffling through what possessions he brought along in his Koopa Klown Mobile... and noticed something was missing... “Uh oh... Oh no... Oh nonono, crud, NOOOOO!!!!”

Kammy, startled by the Koopaling’s scream, looked at the miscreant with a concerned face. “Young Master Iggy? Is there a problem?”

Iggy began to panic, “A carrying case containing a copy document on my Luma Research is GONE!!! HOOOHHH!!!!” He began to feel a little out of breath from his panicking, much to the Magikoopas’ discomfort. Bowser Jr. placed his palm on his face and responded in an unimpressed tone, “You made copies?”

Iggy looked at the Koopa Prince and responded, “Of course. I made four copies. And I lost one of them...”, but then his jaw dropped in realization of what might have happened to the case. “Wah! Mario might have it in his hands right now! Good thing I remembered that it has a code to open it, and then everything would be compromised.” Bowser could only drop his jaw as he gave no comment on that particular matter, but Bowser Jr. was not amused. “Well, I hope they haven't cracked it by now. For your sake.”

*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Neo Bowser Sunrise” (Mario & Luigi: Dream team)*
“But if they did, just to be sure, I know who can distract them... King Dad, I must continue operating the Galaxy Convertion Machine. Please let Lemmy put the red light on for the plumber and his friends...” Iggy turned to Bowser, who nodded, knowing what to do.
“I'll have Kammy go take him over to Mario's location and, Kammy, while the group is distracted, grab one of the girls if you can, please. I'll give you extra credit if you bag Peach!” Bowser gave his direct orders to the old crone, who happily accepted the mission as she grabbed her broomstick.

“Your order is as good as done, Your Awesomeness!” Kammy bowed down before getting onboard her broom and taking off. Kamek called out just as she was heading to Lemmy’s position. “Be careful, Mother...”
“And good luck to you both!” Iggy waved his hand, but just then, a Chain Chomp with a bandage on his head appeared with a whining sound and landed smack dab on the Koopaling, squishing him flat as a pancake.
Reinflating himself, Iggy recognized the particular Chain Chomp, “*Koff*... Chomplex...? *Wheeze*... Is that you...?” The Chain Chomp barked happily at the Koopaling. Kammy looked back in confusion, “Is this the fourth or fifth time that has happened? I lost count.” Bowser could only groan and press his palm at his face.

Menawhile, back at the Observatory...

*Rosalina’s Comet Observatory ~ Bedroom Dome*

*Insert Theme: “Luma” (Super Mario Galaxy)*

The entire group followed Polari to the Bedroom Dome of the Observatory. There they find a forlorn Rosalina looking at the stars holding the research papers in her hand and Benjamin holding the crystal. Toadsworth and Prof. Gadd transported a large Game Boy Horror he made before to Luigi first hand before the green plumber arriving, and he used a large pullet to carry it over.
“How’s the new Port-a-Pulley I made going along? It was a trifle difficult sending the Extra Large Game Boy Horror over to your position without some trouble.” The ghost researcher asked.

“It’s-a working fine...now.. here we- go!” The green plumber set down the pulley so that Toadsworth and Gadd can communicate for the time being.

Polari introduced himself first. “Milady, we're all here.”
Producer-san then made the initiative to ask the first question. “Rosalina, whatever could be the matter?” Ritsuko joined in as well, looking at the cosmic princess’ solemn melancholic face. “Have you figured out what that beast is up to?”
Rosalina sadly frowned, not saying a word, but Benjamin decided to save her the trouble. “"Mostly, I am the one who figured it out. But Rosalina on the other hand... Er, Rose?"
Rosalina turned around and stepped forward to see the group. From the large Game Boy Horror, Toadsworth asked the cosmic princess, “So, whatever is that dastardly fiend, Bowser, up to this time?”

The cosmic princess faces her attention to the Mario Bros. “Mario, Luigi... Do you remember what I told you, back at that time where my children sacrificed themselves save us all?”
The two super brothers began to realize as they began to have to have a flashback of that very moment after they thwarted Bowser’s first universal conquest.

*FLASHBACK*

*Outer Space ~ Spiral Vortex*

*Insert Theme: “Star Babies” (Super Mario Galaxy)*

Mario and Luigi were just saved from a devastating black hole created from the explosion of Bowser’s planned galaxy that nearly had the chance to completely destroy the Mushroom Universe. Many Lumas, including the one given to Mario and Luigi, sacrificed their lives to obliterate the black hole, but for some reason, Mario and Luigi were spared. As the duo opened their eyes, the large figure of Rosalina appeared before them as the sound of babies crying echo in their ears..

“Do you hear the baby stars? These newborns will grow to become galaxies someday.” Rosalina spoke to the brothers. Mario took interest in the subject, “Ohhh...”
Luigi, feeling a little sad, began to object, “But-a Rosalina... Luma is-a gone, too... why...?” The green plumber could not shake the image of that very Luma waving goodbye to the brothers before he plunged himself, along with many of his kind, to stop the black hole.

Rosalina calmly answer Luigi’s question with an answer she can clarify, “When stars die, they turn to stardust and scatter across the cosmos. Eventually, that stardust reforms to create a new star... And so the cycle of life continues. But the cycle never repeats itself in quite the same way.”

“So...? Uh...” Mario began to wonder what the cosmic princess meant.
“So... you'll see.” Rosalina simply answered, and before Mario could get the chance to ask again, Rosalina faded out of sight as the brothers disappear from the vortex... and appear outside Peach’s Castle asleep with Peach and Bowser.

*Rosalina’s Comet Observatory ~ Bedroom Dome*

*Insert Theme: “Sad Song” (Yu Yu Hakusho)*

Mario and Luigi remembered clearly the conversation and began to show saddened looks on their faces.

“Lumas have a way-a to be-a reborn after dey die...” Mario started off quietly, while Luigi finished, “... And-a grow up to become-a new galaxies.” Peach and Daisy were sadly quiet over what they heard.

Rosalina nodded and looked at the group, “Yes... However... the bespectacled turtle who attacked the observatory from before... These sheets are his research on the Lumas... Everything about them.

One thing I neglected to mention... is that the older the Luma, the bigger the galaxy.”
Everyone who heard was completely astounded at what they heard. Takane frowned, not really liking what the Koopa Clan had planned for the Lumas. “Those turtles.... first kidnapping Makoto, then using the adorable Lumas for THIS? This time... they have completely went too far."
“Takane... I normally would say something against that, but in a case like this, I’d have to agree!” Hibiki looked at the Silver Queen with fiery determination in her eyes.

Prof. Gadd, with a serious look on his face, replied through his end of the monitor. “Do you mind if I held onto those papers if you please? What else have you uncovered?”

“Well, we we’re trying to discover what Bowser wanted with the Lumas, since naturally it takes centuries, even millennia for a full-fledged galaxy to form.. That's where the crystal comes into their plan.” Polari pointed out.

*End Theme*

“The indigo crystal in the carrying case from before?” Hibiki wondered quietly.

*Insert Theme: “Equivalent Exchange” (Full Metal Alchemist)*

Rosalina nodded sadly and turned to Benjamin, “Benjamin, if you please?”
“Of course.” Benjamin nodded and moves in front of Rosalina and faces the group holding out the crystal. “As you should know, especially you- the Super Mario Brothers, there is galaxy you all not visited and we won't go to that consists of many planetoids that filled with where this crystal shard originates from. What's more, is that it familiarly is a crystalized form of one of the Universal Elements."
“Universal Elements??” All the Idols present, as well as their Porducer asked in unison.
Benjamin pulled out a chart of the Elements and showed to the crowd, “"There are Thirteen Elements in existance; Ignus- the Fire Element, Terra- the Earth Element, Tonitrus- the Thunder Element, Ventus- the Wind Element, Glacies- the Ice Element, Aqua- the Water Element, Umbra- the Shadow Element, Lux- the Light Element, Tempus- the Time Element, Spatius the Space Element, Vitam- the Life Element, Mortem- the Death Element and the Divine Element- Divus... The following Elements each have their own links to one another and have their own categories called Subelements." The Idols each take a look at the chart and have different thoughts on the matter, some with interest, others not so much. However, one was certain to them, it completely relates to the crystal that was in Iggy’s case Luigi nabbed.

Then, Benjamin put on a dark, serious tone as he pointed out one more subject on the matter, remembering his past experiences. “But there is the Fourteenth, but Forbidden Element, the Devil Element, Malus. The one that is known to corrupt both body, mind, heart and/or soul. I've come across this Element one too many times and much I love to talk more about this, but thing is the crystal here is actually Tempus in a crystalized form. "But Tempus in a crystalized form."
Ritsuko, who clearly paid attention to the subject of the Elements the best out of all of the 765 Pro and 876 Pro crew, took a clear look at the crystal. “So you mean... it's time... trapped in a crystal.”

Benjamin nodded, “Precisely, Ritsuko. The power of time is constantly sought after by many for several reasons. Like slowing down one's time to go faster than others, to slow the movement of foes, freeze time specifically around you or in a specific area, time travelling... even control one's age."

“Control one's age?!” All of the Idols stare at Benjamin with strong interest all of a sudden.

Benjamin’s turned calm as he spoke, “They could use it either slow or stop aging to attain youthful longevity..." All of the females in the entire group, not counting Rosalina who knew better, are in thought, imagining themselves still young from such a power. Unfortunately for them, Benjamin’s voice turned serious and slightly creepy as he spoke, “Or use it on others to age rapidly 'til even their bones turn to DUST!"

*End Theme with Wheel Skid Sound, then Glass Break Sound*

“YAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!!!!!”

The Idols snap out of thinking and scream, Yukiho is deathly frightened and crushing Producer-san in a hug, kind of hurting his spine while the Futami Twins embrace each other tightly like children after a ghost story. Benjamin looked at the frightened Idols while Mario and Luigi just stared with blank expressions with no comment on the matter. “I know what you were thinking... a thought you chose... poorly.” (Why does this remind me of Indiana Jones trying to decipher which cup is the Holy Grail of Camelot? Well, Donovan chose the wrong cup and...well.. Let’s just say he met a gruesome end. Look, I’m NOT going to spoil things for that movie! Why don’t we just get back to the subject?)

“Geez, don't give us a scare like that EVER again!” Eri gasped for breath after that scare.

Ai began to wonder for a moment and asked, “So if Bowser already has a Time Elemental crystal already, what does he plan to do with it and the Baby Lumas?”

Rosalina turned to Ai quietly, “It's just what we had discussed: We learned they were using a shard to age the newborns and force them to become larger galaxies...”

Mario began to realize from what Rosalina was saying as he shouted out, “So Bowsa is-a planning to recreate his galaxy and-a try to conquer da universe again!!!”

“Correct.” Benjamin nodded, but just then the shrill sound of Kammy Koopa echoed around the Observatory.

*Insert Theme: “Kammy Koopa” (Paper Mario)*

“Mweeheehee!! Would Mario and the Idols come out? I’ve been planning a little playdate with Lemmy!” Kammy called outside. Of course, everyone heard the noise.

“What now, Mr. Mario?” Ritsuko turned to the red plumber.

“Kammy Koopa! She must’ve come here to do some-a kid-a-napping again!! No doubt this-a time, it’ll be-a Peachy who’s-a next!” Mario answered, which made Toadsworth obviously panic.

“Master Mario!! Whatever you do, do NOT let the Princess out of your sight!! I’m already getting heartburn just thinking of what that witch would do!!!” TOadsworth yelled out in a frantic frenzy, making Prof. Gadd shrug.

“You got-a it! Oh, by da way Prof. Gadd. Here are-a da research papeas you need!” Mario quickly turned to Prof. Gadd on the monitor of the large Game Boy Horror.

“Yes, place them near the monitor and I’ll use the warping feature on the Game Boy Horror and my Poltergust to retrieve them!” The bespectacled ghost researcher answered before he readied his old Poltergust 3000. Within moments the large Game Boy Horror’s warp systm went to the test as papers created ripples on the screen like drops of water. After a few moments, the transfer was complete and the research papers landed safely in Prof. Gadd’s hands.

“The papers are here! I trust you and the girls will take care of things?” Prof. Gadd gave the confirmation of the papers’ safe delivery and asked the red plumber.

“Don’t-a worry! Just-a leave it to Mario and da Idols of 765 Pro and-a 876 Pro!” Mario smiled.

“That’s great to hear! Prof. Gadd, signing off!” Prof. Gadd smiled before the connection ended. Mario began to wonder what Kammy would come here for as he, the Idols, and the rest of Team Mario prepare for what the old crone would have in store.

Sorry if this one lacked mini games and seemed chatty, but why not add some suspense of Bowser’s plot for good measure? The large Game Boy Horror with the warp features was in “Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga” during the optional events upon making coffee at Starbeans Café. Also, throughout the chapters, though it’s pretty late to say this, I’ve been trying different music to fit the mood. The music used, of course, belong to the original owners. Anyway, there is a bit of spoilers where the tune, “Star Babies” is concerned, so if anyone has not played “Super Mario Galaxy” ...oops...
