CrystalPhoenixBlader here, bringing yet another chapter to the fanfic! Yep, the battle with the new foe Geodusis is beginning, and as a bonus, I thought I’d add a bit of the battle with Bowser for good measure! So, stay tuned, okay? ..Oh yeah, almost forgot, I do not own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER characters belong to Namco Bandai. So with all that out of the way, let’s return to the intergalactic part of the story!

Chapter 41
The Battle for the Universe Part 4: Geodusis Rising
*Center of the Universe ~ Red Moon*
*Insert Theme: “Bowser, Almighty Koopa King” (Super Mario Galaxy 2)*
Mario and Luigi, as well as the Koopa King Bowser, through the gravitational force that contained them land on the red moon. Bowser, beginning to seethe in rage built up from all the many defeats at the hands of the Mario Bros., mostly Mario for the matter, as he began to shout out in anger, “It’s about time we settled things! You pesky plumbing pinheads have been such a large thorn in my side... for FAR too long!!”
“It was a long-a time since we-a first battled, has-a it, Bowsa? Besides, last-a time, LUIGI was da one to-a take a maja role!” Mario pointed out, remembering the adventure he and Luigi had at Pi’ilo Island.
“Oh, jeez, DON’T REMIND ME!!! The thought of seeing that cowardly brother of yours as huge as me in my Giant form just makes me want to gag!” Bowser cringed, remembering the fight with Luigi’s more powerful “Dreamy” form, but then recovered and added a scorching flame in his eyes. “Well, anyways, THIS ENDS HERE! NO MORE SEQUELS! NO MORE SIDE STORIES! NO MORE!! THIS ENDS, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!!”
Mario only shrugged to this threat, “..Wasn’t it-a what you-a said back at da Bitlands? ‘Cuz it ended-a badly for-a you den dere, too...”
“Grr... you plumbing smart aleck... NOW YOU’RE GONNA GET IT!!!” Bowser roared as he readied his Whirling Fortress technique. The two brothers readied themselves for a counterattack of their own.

Back at the moon inhabited by Bowser Jr...
*Center of the Universe ~ Bowser Jr.’s Moon*
*Insert Theme: “Imminent Crisis” (Tales of Graces)*
Team Mario and the Idols look cautiously at the new creature that is Geodusis. Yoshi decided to ask the rest of Team Mario. “Hey, have any of you seen this snake haired looking thing before?”
“Nope, never seen it before in all my life...” Wario shrugged, surprised that even Captain Syrup would not know of this creature in thought.
“Neither does Boo and me... I think this must be a completely brand new creation from Bowser Jr.” Hammer Bro shrugged as he readied his trusty mallet.
“Well, one thing’s for certain... this is the first time WE’VE seen something like this!” Iori shrugged as she and the remaining Idols look at Geodusis.
With a quiet interest, Geodusis looked at Team Mario and the Idols. “GUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHH...” As it roared, the creature’s yellow eyes change to a vivid dark blue hue.
“What is this powerful force I feel from this monster...?” Rosalina cringed from the energy felt from the monster. Yoshi frowned with a drop of sweat beginning to drop from his forehead. “That doesn't sound good!” Looking at the petrified Takane, the green bipedal decided to have the Silver Queen sit on his saddle.
“Uwah! Y-Yoshi?!” Takane could only respond while the green dinosaur used his swift legs to flee while the rest of the main participants (Azusa, Ayane, Mami, Wario, Boo, and Hammer Bro, in case anyone forgot...) for the event also turn around and flee from what Geodusis has in store.
“ERRRRRRRRRRRR... BRRAAAAAAAAAAAAUGHHHHHH!!!!!” The Medusa like creature roared before unleashing a giant beam of pale blue light.
“WHOA! That is AWESOME, Geodusus!” Bowser Jr. cheered happily, aboard the safety of his Koopa Klown Kar. The participants spent a few minutes avoiding the beam until the light form the attack faded away. In that moment, the group of eight stopped running.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Crystal Palace Crawl” (Paper Mario)*
The participants, although Takane’s gasp was only from fright, decided to catch their breath from the sudden dash. Azusa was the first to recover. “Ara? What happened?”
“Beats me. I thought that light would kill us!” Wario was the first to answer, quickly regaining his composure. Despite his obese exterior, the participants from the Idols’ side were surprised to see that the tub of lard is actually athletic, noting how he was not as tired. All of a sudden, as if it came from nowhere, something fell on Wario’s head.
*BONK!*
“D’OH! WHAT JUST... Oh...oh, not good...” Wario cringed as he took a look to what whack his head, but his angry scowl quickly changed to a look of utter shock when he saw what hit him... Benjamin, turned into a crystal statue!
*Insert Jingle: “Bowser’s Message” (Super Mario 64)*
“KYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!” Taknae screamed in utter terror of what may have happened to the interdimensional being. Yoshi decided to comfort the Silver Queen with worry in his, also concerning him of what may have happened to Iori and the others, while Mami and Ayane decide to examine the crystallized creature.
“Ben-nii's been is trapped in crystal!” Mami shouted out, while Ayane quietly took a closer look. “Nnn? Wait, it looks like he turned into a statue made of crystal...” As if responding to what the Lolita sensation just said, the “statue” of Benjamin began to wiggle until the being freed himself from his crystallized prison.
*Insert Sound Effects: “Rock Break and Glass Break”*
Benjamin, free of his frozen state, began to regain his senses, “G'augh...! Thought I was stupid to let my guard down and limiting myself, thinking that would happen. Was that what I thought it was?" The interdimensional being smirked.
“Guys... look over there...” Boo called to the group of nine, pointing to where the beam hit.
“What on...” Hammer Bro wondered what the ghost was talking about, but when he saw the aftermath, the armored Koopa was so frozen stiff over the sight that his prized hammer fell from his stiff hands Takane followed Hammer Bro, only to clasp her hands on her mouth over the realization of what has happened.... the beam fired from Geodusis had petrified and encased the rest of the Idols and Team Mario in crystal!
*Insert Jingle: ‘Suspense”*
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Sad Theme (Unused)” (MOTHER 3)* (No, the group is not dead, just... unable to move for the time being...)
“ERI! NO!!!” Ayane screamed in horror as she approached her frozen friend. Mami was equally as horrified as to what happened to her sister, “AMIIIIIIIII!!!”
“No! Iori! Daisy! Birdo!” Yoshi yelped as he approached the petrified trio with tears in his eyes. The dinosaur first examined the pretty Idol, and seeing the expression of shock and fear on her face, the green bipedal fell to his knees in utter disgrace.
“Everyone's... been turned into crystal statues...” Azusa concluded with a sadden look on her face, while Wario, looking quietly at the petrified Waluigi, spoke. “As much as I love jewels and things made out of them, I have NO intention of being one!” Within moments, the rival of Mario looked at Yoshi, who rose with his eyes in an angry glare, fueled with a determination to avenge his frozen friends and the memories he shared.
*End Theme*
Geodusis was just about ready to fie another beam on the participants, when a blob of paint hits it right between the eyes. “URRR?” The creature turned to the source of the paint attack, which appears to be a very irate Bowser Jr., who was clearly not impressed at all.
“YOU OVERGROWN PEBBLEBRAIN!!! YOU CAUGHT THE IDOLS IN YOUR ATTACK! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE JUST FOR MARIO'S FRIENDS, YOU STUPID MINION!” Bowser Jr. roared angrily at the blundering minion, to which it responded with a sad look in its face. “URRRRRRR..”
“Grrrr... ... Huh?” The Koopa Prince growled before looking up at the red moon. The mischievous Koopa began to notice his father looking a little exasperated from the fight with the Mario brothers, which looks to be an obvious losing battle to the young Koopa’s eyes!
“Uh oh, Papa's in trouble!” Bowser Jr. quickly readied himself to aid his father. He first turned to his summoned minion. “GEODUSUS! GET THE REST OF THEM!” The Koopa Prince then turned to the participants in a hasty manner, “YOU GOT HIM ALL TO YOURSELVES, GUYS! BUT I GOTTA' HELP MY PAPA!” With that, the Koopa Klown Kar quickly left the moon it was in. While in his desperate haste, Bowser Jr. quickly grabbed ahold of his walkie-talkie. “Paraplonk, can you send a Paratroopa squad to retrieve the idols?”
*TCHRTZ*” Roger that, Your Princeliness.” *KHRTZ* Paraplonk responded from his end. Bowser Jr. then ended his communication before quickly rushing to the red moon.
*Insert Theme: “Boss Battle 1” (Kid Icarus: Uprising)*
“GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHH!!!!” Geodusis roared as it faced the participants eye to eye. Wario was the first to be ready to go as he pounded his fists. “Okey dokey, let's cave in this Geodusus' massive rock face!” However, everyone else, excluding the Medusa like creature and Wario, fell down in quite a comical manner.
*THUD!*
*End Theme with Record Scratch sound*
“What?! You all didn’t like what I said??” Wario pouted, looking a little offended.
“Sorry, Wario, but none of us has as much physical strength as YOU do!!” Ayane frowned.
“Then how are we supposed to fight this thing??” Azusa wondered, feeling like she got herself lost again...
“Um, if I may...” Benjamin decided to get the group’s attention. Naturlly, since neither of the participants of Team Mario or the Idols seem to have any plans whatsoever, they decided to just listen to the being in the form of a heterochromatic Luma.
*Insert Temporary Theme: “Legend of the Babylonians” (Sonic Riders)* (Yeah, I know this is Mario and not Sonic, but please, I needed a fitting theme and this is what came to mind!)
“If you are familiar with the mythical Greek monster, Medusa the Gorgon, then you are probably familiar with her well known and feared Petrification technique. This is the jewel version of that technique, the sister of the high level Terra Magic- Crystalization."
*End Theme*
The four Idols, as well as Hammer Bro, began to think for a moment of the legendary Gorgon, and how the hero Perseus defeated the creature using a mirrored shield given to him by the goddess Athena to make the creature see its reflection instead of himself and end up turning the creature to stone in the process. However, the armored turtle noted that compared to Medusa, Geodusa would be not be fooled that way. Add to the fact that the rest of the group would be harmed if he used his hammer willy-nilly and the armored turtle found his back to the wall before the fight has even begun!
“I can't risk using my great Grandpappy's hammer on him or the others...” Hammer Bro frowned at the futility of his situation.
“Of course, you don't. You're too sweet to hurt our friends!” Azusa smiled at the armored turtle, to which he responded with a deep blush. “Aw, shucks. But how do we defeat it?”
“Yeah! It's huge!” Ayane frowned, looking at the immense size of the creature and feeling that a normal Medusa would be a cakewalk compared to this.
Benjamin sighed and decided to step in. “Allow me to help you out again on this much anticipated event."
“Ben-nii?” Mami quietly looked at Benjamin, who was a bit perplexed at what the Futami sister called him. “BENNY? Oh. 'Ben-nii...' I see. Anyway, here's my recommended strategy..."
“And that is...?” Takane, Mami, Azusa, and Ayane ask in unison, curious as to what the heterochromatic Luma has up his sleeve as they stare at him. As if transporting what he intended from the storage from the Starship Mario, Benjamin began to give his answer when he summoned eight Rock Mushrooms. “We use..” and ended with a dramatic echo. “REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY!!!"
“..What??” Wario’s jaw dropped, as he stared dumbfounded at Benjamin. However, Mami seemed to recognize these particular fungi. “Hey, isn't that...?”
*FLASHBACK*
*Rosalina’s Comet Observatory ~ Crystallized Observatory*
*Insert Theme: “Ice Land” (Super Mario Bros. 3)*
(Mario) “Hmm... is it just me, or does one of da crystals have a crack on dem?”
(Makoto) “Leave this to me, Mario-san!”
Mami began to recall that very moment when Makoto pulled out the Rock Mushroom from her pocket and gulped in down her mouth, transforming her into Rock Makoto. She also began to recall the confidence the tomboyish Idol had shown in attempting to demolish the crystal... which ended in both success and failure at the same time, as the crystal was utterly destroyed, but the boyishly handsome lost control of her momentum and nearly made pancakes of the group, before she was safely stopped by Yumeko, who had strategic use of the Hammer Suit as she lobbed a hammer that broke the boulder Makoto was in into little pieces in one shot.

*END FLASHBACK*
*Center of the Universe ~ Bowser Jr.’s Moon*
Ayane also recalled the same Mushroom as well. “Yeah... But what does Reverse Psychology have to require those to help us?”
Benjamin simply smirked as he looked at the Lolita. “Isn't it obvious, Ayane!? Rock BREAKS ROCK!"
“NO!!!!! Arm breaks rock!” Wario tried to disagree by showing off his muscles and ready himself to attack Geodusis, but Benjamin decided to be the voice of reason in a way Wario would listen... by Shoop-da-Whooping the fat tub of lard in the face! The fat rival of Mario fell backwards and coughed out some smoke from the attack. “...Ow.”
Benjamin then turned to thr rest of the participants with a serious gaze. “"Rock breaks rock, fight fire with fire... that is Reverse Psychology. Use the Rock Mushrooms as your weapon against Geodusus. I'll provide you more Rock Mushrooms if you lose them."
The four Idols, as well as Yoshi, Hammer Bro, and Boo nodded and accepted the mushrooms. The green bipedal also decided to save Wario the trouble by picking up his Rock Mushroom and stuffing it in his mouth.
*Insert Jingle: “Power Up!” (Super Mario Bros. series)*
As the participants chow on the Rock Mushrooms, Benjamin turns around to catch a paratroopa squad in view flying towards their direction.
*Insert Theme: “The Unforgiven” (Final Fantasy 6)*
“Let's do this, CHARGE!!!” A random Paratroopa belonging to the group under orders from Paraplonk cried out as his troop began to approach the frozen Idols.
Benjamin then turned to the statues of the group and realized there was only one choice to be done. “Ah, *Coin* it!!”
Without any hesitation whatsoever, the interdimensional being Teleports over to the crystallized gang, then raises his stubby Luma arms in the air a creates a dome barrier out of white light around the group blocking some bombarding Paratroopas.
“Yowch!! What the?!” The same random Paratroopa felt a hard bump on his nose over the sudden force field that just appeared over the crystallized group.
“Ben-nii?!” Mami yelped in shock of what the heterochromatic Luma is doing, which quickly drew Ayane’s attention. “Are you okay, Benjamin-san?!”
"Don't worry about me! I’ll protect the gang from them. Focus on Geodusus!! NOW!!!" Benjamin ordered as he held his guard, to which the two Idols look at each other for a bit before agreeing.
*End Theme, Resume Theme: “Boss Battle 1” (Kid Icarus: Uprising)*
Ready with the Rock Mushrooms’ effects, the group rolled into action using the boulders from the rock covered fungi. At first, the group of eight had little control as they kept crashing into each other.
“YOWCH!! MAMI!! WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING!!!” Wario, in the form of Rock Wario, shouted at the hyperactive twin, to which she responded, “Aw, c’mon, Wari-Wari! Where I’m I supposed to hit?”
“OUCH! Even as a ghost, that kinda hurts!!” Boo, somehow in the form of Rock Boo, frowned.
“Ugh... so this is how these Stone Buzzies feel before their stone shells are broken?” Hammer Bro, in a unique form from the mushroom called “Rocky Bro”, frowned, recalling a relative of the sturdy Buzzy Beetle who has an actual breakable shell, after colliding with Boo and Takane.
“Ow! ..Please watch where you’re going!” Takane, in the from of Rock Takane, flinched trying to regain her momentum.
“Ara.. what’s with the arms?” Azusa, in the form of Rock Azusa, stared at the arms of Geodusis for a moment.
"Watch his arms! You guys might gain the advantage over him!" Benjamin cried out as he held his guard.
Looking at the arms, Yoshi, in the form of Rock Yoshi with his skin changed to a gravel-like gray color, used his boulder to roll up the arm into the air. Seeing a large glowing eye in the middle of Geodusis’ face, Yoshi’s eyes focused directly on the eye. “Here’s my chance! THIS ONE’S FOR IORI-CHAN!!!” Without hesitation, the dinosaur performed a powerful Ground Pound, encasing his bottom with jagged pieces of rock for extra damage, and slamming directly on the glowing eye.
“GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUWW...!!! MMMMMRRRRRRRRRRGGHHHH...!” Geodusis cried out in complete agony as Yoshi jumped off the large creature.
Benjamain’s eyes widen over the creature’s shrill and quickly responded, “THE EYE! That's his Achilles Heel! AIM FOR THE THIRD EYE!!!"
“GRRAAAAUGHHH... GRRRRRR-RRRAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWRRRRR!!!” As the creature roared in anger, crystal leaves form a protective wall around the third eye. “NNNNNNNNNGHHHHH... GUUUHHHHHHHHH...”
“Alright! Great one, Yoshi! But it looks like that wall that formed around it is going to take one powerful whack to get rid of...” Rocky Bro fist pumped before analyzing what Geodusis has in mind.
All of a sudden, sharp crystal spires shoot up from Geodusus' knuckles and elbows, emitting orbs that shoot crystal shards that headed straight for Takane and Yoshi!
“Those crystal shards will encase you like Makoto! Stay away or break them before they hit you!" Benjamin alerted the two the Idol and the dinosaur.
Takane was still unable to move due to fright, but Yoshi decided to quickly snap her out of her trance. “C’mon, Takane!! We’ve gotta move!!!’
“..Uh..okay...” The Silver Queen nervously grabbed on Yoshi while he quickly evaded the crystal shards. One shard was about to hit the dino; however, it was destroyed when Wario made a beeline for it.” Hey, Silver! Don’t just stand there!! Help us out here!!”
“But I... uh...” Takane began to get nervous as she cautiously began to fight, making Yoshi concerned.
“Does Takane have a fear of...?” Yoshi began to wonder, but then noticed all 3 of Geodusis’ eyes glow.
“Look Away! LOOK AWAY!!!" Benjamin cried out to the two, which the green dinosaur grabbed ahold of the Silver Queen to keep their eyes away from the effect of the natural petrification from the eyes. Fortunately for the two, the attack left Geodusis’ third eye wide open as Mami and Azusa homed in on the attack! Within moments, Geodusis was screeching pain again. “GRRRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!”
“Nice one, Azusa-onee-chan!” Mami high-fived the older sister Idol, to which she smiled. “Arigatou, Mami-chan!”
“Wa... Those two are...having fun with this?” Wario began to wonder as he dealt another blow to Geodusis. “Hmm...maybe...” Within moments, the group managed to deal some serious damage.
“BRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” Geodusis screeched before starting to stagger. The monster tried to shake itself up to regain its senses. “GRRRRRRRR...” The creature let out a sad groan, knowing that the tides have turned against it, decided to set another layer of crystal leaves form as an outer wall around the third eye. Soon after that, with little warning, the crystal spikes in the inner wall start emitting crystal shard shot orbs. “BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”
The attacks barely had a moment to fly, Wario smashed right through theme like they were nothing. A snarky smile of confidence appeared on the chubby miscreant’s face, seeing a rare opportunity of a powerful challenge since his past battle with the Shake King. “Oh boy... Looks like we're going to have some fun with this guy after all! Wah hahahahahaaa!”
“Looks like somebody’s confident! But Eri’s on the line here, so I won’t hold back either!” Ayane smiled as she braced herself beside Wario. However, Geodusis decided to up the difficulty a bit as it also began to use the snake hairs as well. One particalr snake on Geodusis had someone in particular in mind... and Boo was quick to notice... “TAKANE, WATCH OUT!!!”
“..Wha..” Takane turned meekly toward the beast, but a tad too late as the snake head lunged. “HISSSSSSSS!!” “*Gasp!*”
*CRASH!!!*
*Insert Sound Effect: “Pipe / Power Down” (Super Mario Bros. series)*
“Wha... OH NO!!!!” Yoshi’s eyes bulge over the sight of the snake head rose with Takane in its mouth, The remainder of the contestants could only watch in fright as Takane was flailing helplessly, crying and screaming continuously.
“Takane’s in danger! Rescue her!” Benjamin cried out while still protecting the rest of the group from the Paratroopas.
“Ohimechin!” Mami cried out, though Yoshi seemed concerned, considering the Chain Chomp which frightened Yukiho.
“Uh.. Mami? I know it’s just a hunch, but.. does Takane have a fear of snakes?” Yoshi asked the Futami sister.
“Y..Yes...” Mami frowned.
“Well, we can’t just stand there! Boo, let’s do a coordinated attack to save her!!” Rocky Bro called out to its ghostly pal.
“Okay! It’ll be fun to give this punk quite a scare!” Boo smiled as it disappeared. Geodusis wondered where went until the ghost reappeared... right in front of him.. too close and sudden to use its Petrification.
“BOO!!!!” The ghost gave quite a scare before quickly turning its gaze and reappearing behind Rocky Bro, who put the Rock Mushroom’s power to good use as he conjured a small boulder. The armored Koopa then readied his now enlarged hammer to launch the boulder while the medusa like creature was distracted.
“ALLEY OOP!!!” Rocky Bro cried out before hitting the boulder skillfully and letting the boulder fly on the snake head, making it lose its grip on Takane, then ricocheted on towards the crystal leaves protecting the eye!
“AAAAAHHHH!!!!” Takane fell, only to find herself in midair all of a sudden. Before long, Boo reappeared with his hands holding the silver haired Idol.
“Nice catch, Boo!” Rocky Bro gave the thumbs up to the ghost, who smiled. Takane smiled at her two saviors who went to the rescue with a tear in her eyes. “Uuuuu... Arigatou gozaimasu, Hammer Bro and Boo.”
“Hehe... no problem...” Boo blushed up a storm, nearly ready to vanish.
“..Well anyway, it looks like your move also dazed that awful beast, Hammer Bro...” Azusa pointed to Geodusis, who eneded up seeing stars for a bit.
Seizing the opportunity, Ayane looked at Wario a bit. “Say, Wario.... you like gems and gold, right?”
“Yeah, I REALLY love all that! In fact, I have a fortune of treasures at my old castle, not that I’m letting you girls have them! ...But, uh, why do you ask?” Wario asked in confusion.
“I hope you don’t mind having some more to your collection!!” Ayane, with a glint in her eye, leapt in the air, and, using the power of the Rock Mushroom, launched a volley of small boulders that dealt the last blows to the eye of Geodusis!
*End Theme*
“GYAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOWWOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!” The vile creature screeched in agony as the participants leapt out of the way and landed in front of Benjamin and the crystalized group, turning toward Geodusus one more time.
“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGHHHHHHHHH...!!!!!” The creature holds onto its severely damaged head with two arms, then desperately stretches out arm as if reaching for the contestants. “AAAAAARGHHHH...” Before long, it realizes that despite its efforts, its fate was sealed as it gave out one sad moan with a pitiful expression. “NNNNNNNMMMMMMMMPH... ...”
*Insert Sound Effect: “Cracking Rock”*
Geodusus' arms and snakes crumble off boulder by boulder, the rocks that made the monster's face fall apart at once on to the ground and millions of geode crystals of many different colors spill out from the body. Dollar signs appear on Wario’s pupils as he scrambles to acquire the geodes to add to his collection. “They’re mine!! ALL MINE!!” ..Surprisingly, nobody else was interested in the stones as turn around to see the crystalized group returning to normal. Surprised that their attempts to kidnap the Idols who were crystallized ended in complete utter failure, the Paratroopas had no choice but to beat a very hasty retreat. Seeing that the job of defending the group is done, Benjamin lets down the shield.
*Insert Theme: “Mission Clear!” (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity)*
"Well, all's well that ends well... as it should be." The interdimensional being sighed a breath of relief as the rest of the party began to regain their senses.
“Oh... whooaaaa...!” Birdo began to stretch a bit, trying to get itself together.
“I feel a little stiff...” Daisy felt a disorienting feeling on her shoulder as she tried to get herself back together. Iori looked around and saw the green dinosaur with a few scratches on its green skin. “What happened, Yoshi?” Lubba didn’t fare any better as he began to look at the now quiet moon. “Oogh... What happened to that massive monster?”
“And where’s bowser’s son?” Rosalina noted, noticing that the meddling little Koopa is missing in action as well.
Yoshi looked at most of the contestants, who have all turned back to normal, then at Wario who was helping himself to the geodes with no interference. “Sigh... well, you see...” The green dinosaur decided to give a brief explanation of everything that had happened in this moon, leading up to Geodusis’ demise.
Waluigi placed his palm on his face in disgrace. “I can't believe I've animatedly suspended again! Nnnngh, I'll never live this down...!” But as he slumped, the slender rival of Luigi turned to see Wario with a pickaxe stuffing a sack full of geode crystals, humming a theme of his own as he worked. “Wario... what are you doing?!”
Wario looked at Waluigi and smiled. “Ahh, Waluigi, you're moving again! Come help me stash these geode crystals! Help yourself to some if you like!”
Waluigi looked at the chubby treasure hunter and shrugged. “Aw, well. It's sure better to collect crystals rather than be in one or being one.” And with that, the two rivals help themselves to the spoils of battle.
Rosalina turned to the weary participants with a smile of gratitude. “The eight of you did splendidly against the monster in your attempt to save us. You have my eternal gratitude.”
Producer-san, dusting off some dust off his business suit, stepped forward. “If that's what happened, then you have mine as well.”
“Thanks a lot, you guys.” Ritsuko smiled while readjusting her glasses after realizing the peril they were all in.
Yukiho walked to Boo for a moment and smiled. “Umm... Th-thank you, Boo...”
Boo blushed for a moment, “It's no problem, Yukiho...” Afterwards, the bashful ghost covered his face while blushing all over, enough for the Idol to giggle.
Hibiki, after comforting Takane and gently easing her fear, looked at the group for a moment. “So the next thing to do is to leave this weird moon.” Miki realized what the ponytailed Idol was saying and began to wonder. “How are we going to get down?” Before anybody could answer the Visual Queen’s question, a bright aqua green glow encased everyone present, the source of it being Benjamin’s power.
“Leave that to me.” Benjamin replied, as he used his power to teleport everyone off the moon , leaving it completely empty among the stars within the Center of the Universe...

That’s the end of another chapter! The participants, after a rough battle, have triumphed over Geodusis and freed the rest of the group from their crystallized prisons. But what of Mario and Luigi, with their battle with Bowser? Bowser Jr. had retreated to aid his father in the fight upon hearing the news form Corporal Paraplonk. Will the universe be saved once again from the Koopa King’s greedy clutches? You’ll just have to find out next chapter!

CrystalPhoenixBlader here, bringing yet another chapter to the fanfic! Yep, the battle with the new foe Geodusis is beginning, and as a bonus, I thought I’d add a bit of the battle with Bowser for good measure! So, stay tuned, okay? ..Oh yeah, almost forgot, I do not own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER characters belong to Namco Bandai. So with all that out of the way, let’s return to the intergalactic part of the story!

The Battle for the Universe Part 4: Geodusis Rising
*Center of the Universe ~ Red Moon*
*Insert Theme: “Bowser, Almighty Koopa King” (Super Mario Galaxy 2)*
Mario and Luigi, as well as the Koopa King Bowser, through the gravitational force that contained them land on the red moon. Bowser, beginning to seethe in rage built up from all the many defeats at the hands of the Mario Bros., mostly Mario for the matter, as he began to shout out in anger, “It’s about time we settled things! You pesky plumbing pinheads have been such a large thorn in my side... for FAR too long!!”
“It was a long-a time since we-a first battled, has-a it, Bowsa? Besides, last-a time, LUIGI was da one to-a take a maja role!” Mario pointed out, remembering the adventure he and Luigi had at Pi’ilo Island.
“Oh, jeez, DON’T REMIND ME!!! The thought of seeing that cowardly brother of yours as huge as me in my Giant form just makes me want to gag!” Bowser cringed, remembering the fight with Luigi’s more powerful “Dreamy” form, but then recovered and added a scorching flame in his eyes. “Well, anyways, THIS ENDS HERE! NO MORE SEQUELS! NO MORE SIDE STORIES! NO MORE!! THIS ENDS, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!!”
Mario only shrugged to this threat, “..Wasn’t it-a what you-a said back at da Bitlands? ‘Cuz it ended-a badly for-a you den dere, too...”
“Grr... you plumbing smart aleck... NOW YOU’RE GONNA GET IT!!!” Bowser roared as he readied his Whirling Fortress technique. The two brothers readied themselves for a counterattack of their own.

*Center of the Universe ~ Bowser Jr.’s Moon*
*Insert Theme: “Imminent Crisis” (Tales of Graces)*
Team Mario and the Idols look cautiously at the new creature that is Geodusis. Yoshi decided to ask the rest of Team Mario. “Hey, have any of you seen this snake haired looking thing before?”
“Nope, never seen it before in all my life...” Wario shrugged, surprised that even Captain Syrup would not know of this creature in thought.
“Neither does Boo and me... I think this must be a completely brand new creation from Bowser Jr.” Hammer Bro shrugged as he readied his trusty mallet.
“Well, one thing’s for certain... this is the first time WE’VE seen something like this!” Iori shrugged as she and the remaining Idols look at Geodusis.
With a quiet interest, Geodusis looked at Team Mario and the Idols. “GUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHH...” As it roared, the creature’s yellow eyes change to a vivid dark blue hue.
“What is this powerful force I feel from this monster...?” Rosalina cringed from the energy felt from the monster. Yoshi frowned with a drop of sweat beginning to drop from his forehead. “That doesn't sound good!” Looking at the petrified Takane, the green bipedal decided to have the Silver Queen sit on his saddle.
“Uwah! Y-Yoshi?!” Takane could only respond while the green dinosaur used his swift legs to flee while the rest of the main participants (Azusa, Ayane, Mami, Wario, Boo, and Hammer Bro, in case anyone forgot...) for the event also turn around and flee from what Geodusis has in store.
“ERRRRRRRRRRRR... BRRAAAAAAAAAAAAUGHHHHHH!!!!!” The Medusa like creature roared before unleashing a giant beam of pale blue light.
“WHOA! That is AWESOME, Geodusus!” Bowser Jr. cheered happily, aboard the safety of his Koopa Klown Kar. The participants spent a few minutes avoiding the beam until the light form the attack faded away. In that moment, the group of eight stopped running.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Crystal Palace Crawl” (Paper Mario)*
The participants, although Takane’s gasp was only from fright, decided to catch their breath from the sudden dash. Azusa was the first to recover. “Ara? What happened?”
“Beats me. I thought that light would kill us!” Wario was the first to answer, quickly regaining his composure. Despite his obese exterior, the participants from the Idols’ side were surprised to see that the tub of lard is actually athletic, noting how he was not as tired. All of a sudden, as if it came from nowhere, something fell on Wario’s head.
*BONK!*
“D’OH! WHAT JUST... Oh...oh, not good...” Wario cringed as he took a look to what whack his head, but his angry scowl quickly changed to a look of utter shock when he saw what hit him... Benjamin, turned into a crystal statue!
*Insert Jingle: “Bowser’s Message” (Super Mario 64)*
“KYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!” Taknae screamed in utter terror of what may have happened to the interdimensional being. Yoshi decided to comfort the Silver Queen with worry in his, also concerning him of what may have happened to Iori and the others, while Mami and Ayane decide to examine the crystallized creature.
“Ben-nii's been is trapped in crystal!” Mami shouted out, while Ayane quietly took a closer look. “Nnn? Wait, it looks like he turned into a statue made of crystal...” As if responding to what the Lolita sensation just said, the “statue” of Benjamin began to wiggle until the being freed himself from his crystallized prison.
*Insert Sound Effects: “Rock Break and Glass Break”*
Benjamin, free of his frozen state, began to regain his senses, “G'augh...! Thought I was stupid to let my guard down and limiting myself, thinking that would happen. Was that what I thought it was?" The interdimensional being smirked.
“Guys... look over there...” Boo called to the group of nine, pointing to where the beam hit.
“What on...” Hammer Bro wondered what the ghost was talking about, but when he saw the aftermath, the armored Koopa was so frozen stiff over the sight that his prized hammer fell from his stiff hands Takane followed Hammer Bro, only to clasp her hands on her mouth over the realization of what has happened.... the beam fired from Geodusis had petrified and encased the rest of the Idols and Team Mario in crystal!
*Insert Jingle: ‘Suspense”*
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Sad Theme (Unused)” (MOTHER 3)* (No, the group is not dead, just... unable to move for the time being...)
“ERI! NO!!!” Ayane screamed in horror as she approached her frozen friend. Mami was equally as horrified as to what happened to her sister, “AMIIIIIIIII!!!”
“No! Iori! Daisy! Birdo!” Yoshi yelped as he approached the petrified trio with tears in his eyes. The dinosaur first examined the pretty Idol, and seeing the expression of shock and fear on her face, the green bipedal fell to his knees in utter disgrace.
“Everyone's... been turned into crystal statues...” Azusa concluded with a sadden look on her face, while Wario, looking quietly at the petrified Waluigi, spoke. “As much as I love jewels and things made out of them, I have NO intention of being one!” Within moments, the rival of Mario looked at Yoshi, who rose with his eyes in an angry glare, fueled with a determination to avenge his frozen friends and the memories he shared.

Geodusis was just about ready to fie another beam on the participants, when a blob of paint hits it right between the eyes. “URRR?” The creature turned to the source of the paint attack, which appears to be a very irate Bowser Jr., who was clearly not impressed at all.
“YOU OVERGROWN PEBBLEBRAIN!!! YOU CAUGHT THE IDOLS IN YOUR ATTACK! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE JUST FOR MARIO'S FRIENDS, YOU STUPID MINION!” Bowser Jr. roared angrily at the blundering minion, to which it responded with a sad look in its face. “URRRRRRR..”
“Grrrr... ... Huh?” The Koopa Prince growled before looking up at the red moon. The mischievous Koopa began to notice his father looking a little exasperated from the fight with the Mario brothers, which looks to be an obvious losing battle to the young Koopa’s eyes!
“Uh oh, Papa's in trouble!” Bowser Jr. quickly readied himself to aid his father. He first turned to his summoned minion. “GEODUSUS! GET THE REST OF THEM!” The Koopa Prince then turned to the participants in a hasty manner, “YOU GOT HIM ALL TO YOURSELVES, GUYS! BUT I GOTTA' HELP MY PAPA!” With that, the Koopa Klown Kar quickly left the moon it was in. While in his desperate haste, Bowser Jr. quickly grabbed ahold of his walkie-talkie. “Paraplonk, can you send a Paratroopa squad to retrieve the idols?”
*TCHRTZ*” Roger that, Your Princeliness.” *KHRTZ* Paraplonk responded from his end. Bowser Jr. then ended his communication before quickly rushing to the red moon.
*Insert Theme: “Boss Battle 1” (Kid Icarus: Uprising)*
“GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHH!!!!” Geodusis roared as it faced the participants eye to eye. Wario was the first to be ready to go as he pounded his fists. “Okey dokey, let's cave in this Geodusus' massive rock face!” However, everyone else, excluding the Medusa like creature and Wario, fell down in quite a comical manner.
*THUD!*
*End Theme with Record Scratch sound*
“What?! You all didn’t like what I said??” Wario pouted, looking a little offended.
“Sorry, Wario, but none of us has as much physical strength as YOU do!!” Ayane frowned.
“Then how are we supposed to fight this thing??” Azusa wondered, feeling like she got herself lost again...
“Um, if I may...” Benjamin decided to get the group’s attention. Naturlly, since neither of the participants of Team Mario or the Idols seem to have any plans whatsoever, they decided to just listen to the being in the form of a heterochromatic Luma.
*Insert Temporary Theme: “Legend of the Babylonians” (Sonic Riders)* (Yeah, I know this is Mario and not Sonic, but please, I needed a fitting theme and this is what came to mind!)
“If you are familiar with the mythical Greek monster, Medusa the Gorgon, then you are probably familiar with her well known and feared Petrification technique. This is the jewel version of that technique, the sister of the high level Terra Magic- Crystalization."
*End Theme*
The four Idols, as well as Hammer Bro, began to think for a moment of the legendary Gorgon, and how the hero Perseus defeated the creature using a mirrored shield given to him by the goddess Athena to make the creature see its reflection instead of himself and end up turning the creature to stone in the process. However, the armored turtle noted that compared to Medusa, Geodusa would be not be fooled that way. Add to the fact that the rest of the group would be harmed if he used his hammer willy-nilly and the armored turtle found his back to the wall before the fight has even begun!
“I can't risk using my great Grandpappy's hammer on him or the others...” Hammer Bro frowned at the futility of his situation.
“Of course, you don't. You're too sweet to hurt our friends!” Azusa smiled at the armored turtle, to which he responded with a deep blush. “Aw, shucks. But how do we defeat it?”
“Yeah! It's huge!” Ayane frowned, looking at the immense size of the creature and feeling that a normal Medusa would be a cakewalk compared to this.
Benjamin sighed and decided to step in. “Allow me to help you out again on this much anticipated event."
“Ben-nii?” Mami quietly looked at Benjamin, who was a bit perplexed at what the Futami sister called him. “BENNY? Oh. 'Ben-nii...' I see. Anyway, here's my recommended strategy..."
“And that is...?” Takane, Mami, Azusa, and Ayane ask in unison, curious as to what the heterochromatic Luma has up his sleeve as they stare at him. As if transporting what he intended from the storage from the Starship Mario, Benjamin began to give his answer when he summoned eight Rock Mushrooms. “We use..” and ended with a dramatic echo. “REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY!!!"
“..What??” Wario’s jaw dropped, as he stared dumbfounded at Benjamin. However, Mami seemed to recognize these particular fungi. “Hey, isn't that...?”
*FLASHBACK*
*Rosalina’s Comet Observatory ~ Crystallized Observatory*
*Insert Theme: “Ice Land” (Super Mario Bros. 3)*
(Mario) “Hmm... is it just me, or does one of da crystals have a crack on dem?”
(Makoto) “Leave this to me, Mario-san!”
Mami began to recall that very moment when Makoto pulled out the Rock Mushroom from her pocket and gulped in down her mouth, transforming her into Rock Makoto. She also began to recall the confidence the tomboyish Idol had shown in attempting to demolish the crystal... which ended in both success and failure at the same time, as the crystal was utterly destroyed, but the boyishly handsome lost control of her momentum and nearly made pancakes of the group, before she was safely stopped by Yumeko, who had strategic use of the Hammer Suit as she lobbed a hammer that broke the boulder Makoto was in into little pieces in one shot.

*Center of the Universe ~ Bowser Jr.’s Moon*
Ayane also recalled the same Mushroom as well. “Yeah... But what does Reverse Psychology have to require those to help us?”
Benjamin simply smirked as he looked at the Lolita. “Isn't it obvious, Ayane!? Rock BREAKS ROCK!"
“NO!!!!! Arm breaks rock!” Wario tried to disagree by showing off his muscles and ready himself to attack Geodusis, but Benjamin decided to be the voice of reason in a way Wario would listen... by Shoop-da-Whooping the fat tub of lard in the face! The fat rival of Mario fell backwards and coughed out some smoke from the attack. “...Ow.”
Benjamin then turned to thr rest of the participants with a serious gaze. “"Rock breaks rock, fight fire with fire... that is Reverse Psychology. Use the Rock Mushrooms as your weapon against Geodusus. I'll provide you more Rock Mushrooms if you lose them."
The four Idols, as well as Yoshi, Hammer Bro, and Boo nodded and accepted the mushrooms. The green bipedal also decided to save Wario the trouble by picking up his Rock Mushroom and stuffing it in his mouth.
*Insert Jingle: “Power Up!” (Super Mario Bros. series)*
As the participants chow on the Rock Mushrooms, Benjamin turns around to catch a paratroopa squad in view flying towards their direction.
*Insert Theme: “The Unforgiven” (Final Fantasy 6)*
“Let's do this, CHARGE!!!” A random Paratroopa belonging to the group under orders from Paraplonk cried out as his troop began to approach the frozen Idols.
Benjamin then turned to the statues of the group and realized there was only one choice to be done. “Ah, *Coin* it!!”
Without any hesitation whatsoever, the interdimensional being Teleports over to the crystallized gang, then raises his stubby Luma arms in the air a creates a dome barrier out of white light around the group blocking some bombarding Paratroopas.
“Yowch!! What the?!” The same random Paratroopa felt a hard bump on his nose over the sudden force field that just appeared over the crystallized group.
“Ben-nii?!” Mami yelped in shock of what the heterochromatic Luma is doing, which quickly drew Ayane’s attention. “Are you okay, Benjamin-san?!”
"Don't worry about me! I’ll protect the gang from them. Focus on Geodusus!! NOW!!!" Benjamin ordered as he held his guard, to which the two Idols look at each other for a bit before agreeing.
*End Theme, Resume Theme: “Boss Battle 1” (Kid Icarus: Uprising)*
Ready with the Rock Mushrooms’ effects, the group rolled into action using the boulders from the rock covered fungi. At first, the group of eight had little control as they kept crashing into each other.
“YOWCH!! MAMI!! WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING!!!” Wario, in the form of Rock Wario, shouted at the hyperactive twin, to which she responded, “Aw, c’mon, Wari-Wari! Where I’m I supposed to hit?”
“OUCH! Even as a ghost, that kinda hurts!!” Boo, somehow in the form of Rock Boo, frowned.
“Ugh... so this is how these Stone Buzzies feel before their stone shells are broken?” Hammer Bro, in a unique form from the mushroom called “Rocky Bro”, frowned, recalling a relative of the sturdy Buzzy Beetle who has an actual breakable shell, after colliding with Boo and Takane.
“Ow! ..Please watch where you’re going!” Takane, in the from of Rock Takane, flinched trying to regain her momentum.
“Ara.. what’s with the arms?” Azusa, in the form of Rock Azusa, stared at the arms of Geodusis for a moment.
"Watch his arms! You guys might gain the advantage over him!" Benjamin cried out as he held his guard.
Looking at the arms, Yoshi, in the form of Rock Yoshi with his skin changed to a gravel-like gray color, used his boulder to roll up the arm into the air. Seeing a large glowing eye in the middle of Geodusis’ face, Yoshi’s eyes focused directly on the eye. “Here’s my chance! THIS ONE’S FOR IORI-CHAN!!!” Without hesitation, the dinosaur performed a powerful Ground Pound, encasing his bottom with jagged pieces of rock for extra damage, and slamming directly on the glowing eye.
“GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUWW...!!! MMMMMRRRRRRRRRRGGHHHH...!” Geodusis cried out in complete agony as Yoshi jumped off the large creature.
Benjamain’s eyes widen over the creature’s shrill and quickly responded, “THE EYE! That's his Achilles Heel! AIM FOR THE THIRD EYE!!!"
“GRRAAAAUGHHH... GRRRRRR-RRRAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWRRRRR!!!” As the creature roared in anger, crystal leaves form a protective wall around the third eye. “NNNNNNNNNGHHHHH... GUUUHHHHHHHHH...”
“Alright! Great one, Yoshi! But it looks like that wall that formed around it is going to take one powerful whack to get rid of...” Rocky Bro fist pumped before analyzing what Geodusis has in mind.
All of a sudden, sharp crystal spires shoot up from Geodusus' knuckles and elbows, emitting orbs that shoot crystal shards that headed straight for Takane and Yoshi!
“Those crystal shards will encase you like Makoto! Stay away or break them before they hit you!" Benjamin alerted the two the Idol and the dinosaur.
Takane was still unable to move due to fright, but Yoshi decided to quickly snap her out of her trance. “C’mon, Takane!! We’ve gotta move!!!’
“..Uh..okay...” The Silver Queen nervously grabbed on Yoshi while he quickly evaded the crystal shards. One shard was about to hit the dino; however, it was destroyed when Wario made a beeline for it.” Hey, Silver! Don’t just stand there!! Help us out here!!”
“But I... uh...” Takane began to get nervous as she cautiously began to fight, making Yoshi concerned.
“Does Takane have a fear of...?” Yoshi began to wonder, but then noticed all 3 of Geodusis’ eyes glow.
“Look Away! LOOK AWAY!!!" Benjamin cried out to the two, which the green dinosaur grabbed ahold of the Silver Queen to keep their eyes away from the effect of the natural petrification from the eyes. Fortunately for the two, the attack left Geodusis’ third eye wide open as Mami and Azusa homed in on the attack! Within moments, Geodusis was screeching pain again. “GRRRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!”
“Nice one, Azusa-onee-chan!” Mami high-fived the older sister Idol, to which she smiled. “Arigatou, Mami-chan!”
“Wa... Those two are...having fun with this?” Wario began to wonder as he dealt another blow to Geodusis. “Hmm...maybe...” Within moments, the group managed to deal some serious damage.
“BRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” Geodusis screeched before starting to stagger. The monster tried to shake itself up to regain its senses. “GRRRRRRRR...” The creature let out a sad groan, knowing that the tides have turned against it, decided to set another layer of crystal leaves form as an outer wall around the third eye. Soon after that, with little warning, the crystal spikes in the inner wall start emitting crystal shard shot orbs. “BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”
The attacks barely had a moment to fly, Wario smashed right through theme like they were nothing. A snarky smile of confidence appeared on the chubby miscreant’s face, seeing a rare opportunity of a powerful challenge since his past battle with the Shake King. “Oh boy... Looks like we're going to have some fun with this guy after all! Wah hahahahahaaa!”
“Looks like somebody’s confident! But Eri’s on the line here, so I won’t hold back either!” Ayane smiled as she braced herself beside Wario. However, Geodusis decided to up the difficulty a bit as it also began to use the snake hairs as well. One particalr snake on Geodusis had someone in particular in mind... and Boo was quick to notice... “TAKANE, WATCH OUT!!!”
“..Wha..” Takane turned meekly toward the beast, but a tad too late as the snake head lunged. “HISSSSSSSS!!” “*Gasp!*”
*CRASH!!!*
*Insert Sound Effect: “Pipe / Power Down” (Super Mario Bros. series)*
“Wha... OH NO!!!!” Yoshi’s eyes bulge over the sight of the snake head rose with Takane in its mouth, The remainder of the contestants could only watch in fright as Takane was flailing helplessly, crying and screaming continuously.
“Takane’s in danger! Rescue her!” Benjamin cried out while still protecting the rest of the group from the Paratroopas.
“Ohimechin!” Mami cried out, though Yoshi seemed concerned, considering the Chain Chomp which frightened Yukiho.
“Uh.. Mami? I know it’s just a hunch, but.. does Takane have a fear of snakes?” Yoshi asked the Futami sister.
“Y..Yes...” Mami frowned.
“Well, we can’t just stand there! Boo, let’s do a coordinated attack to save her!!” Rocky Bro called out to its ghostly pal.
“Okay! It’ll be fun to give this punk quite a scare!” Boo smiled as it disappeared. Geodusis wondered where went until the ghost reappeared... right in front of him.. too close and sudden to use its Petrification.
“BOO!!!!” The ghost gave quite a scare before quickly turning its gaze and reappearing behind Rocky Bro, who put the Rock Mushroom’s power to good use as he conjured a small boulder. The armored Koopa then readied his now enlarged hammer to launch the boulder while the medusa like creature was distracted.
“ALLEY OOP!!!” Rocky Bro cried out before hitting the boulder skillfully and letting the boulder fly on the snake head, making it lose its grip on Takane, then ricocheted on towards the crystal leaves protecting the eye!
“AAAAAHHHH!!!!” Takane fell, only to find herself in midair all of a sudden. Before long, Boo reappeared with his hands holding the silver haired Idol.
“Nice catch, Boo!” Rocky Bro gave the thumbs up to the ghost, who smiled. Takane smiled at her two saviors who went to the rescue with a tear in her eyes. “Uuuuu... Arigatou gozaimasu, Hammer Bro and Boo.”
“Hehe... no problem...” Boo blushed up a storm, nearly ready to vanish.
“..Well anyway, it looks like your move also dazed that awful beast, Hammer Bro...” Azusa pointed to Geodusis, who eneded up seeing stars for a bit.
Seizing the opportunity, Ayane looked at Wario a bit. “Say, Wario.... you like gems and gold, right?”
“Yeah, I REALLY love all that! In fact, I have a fortune of treasures at my old castle, not that I’m letting you girls have them! ...But, uh, why do you ask?” Wario asked in confusion.
“I hope you don’t mind having some more to your collection!!” Ayane, with a glint in her eye, leapt in the air, and, using the power of the Rock Mushroom, launched a volley of small boulders that dealt the last blows to the eye of Geodusis!

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOWWOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!” The vile creature screeched in agony as the participants leapt out of the way and landed in front of Benjamin and the crystalized group, turning toward Geodusus one more time.
“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGHHHHHHHHH...!!!!!” The creature holds onto its severely damaged head with two arms, then desperately stretches out arm as if reaching for the contestants. “AAAAAARGHHHH...” Before long, it realizes that despite its efforts, its fate was sealed as it gave out one sad moan with a pitiful expression. “NNNNNNNMMMMMMMMPH... ...”
*Insert Sound Effect: “Cracking Rock”*
Geodusus' arms and snakes crumble off boulder by boulder, the rocks that made the monster's face fall apart at once on to the ground and millions of geode crystals of many different colors spill out from the body. Dollar signs appear on Wario’s pupils as he scrambles to acquire the geodes to add to his collection. “They’re mine!! ALL MINE!!” ..Surprisingly, nobody else was interested in the stones as turn around to see the crystalized group returning to normal. Surprised that their attempts to kidnap the Idols who were crystallized ended in complete utter failure, the Paratroopas had no choice but to beat a very hasty retreat. Seeing that the job of defending the group is done, Benjamin lets down the shield.

"Well, all's well that ends well... as it should be." The interdimensional being sighed a breath of relief as the rest of the party began to regain their senses.
“Oh... whooaaaa...!” Birdo began to stretch a bit, trying to get itself together.
“I feel a little stiff...” Daisy felt a disorienting feeling on her shoulder as she tried to get herself back together. Iori looked around and saw the green dinosaur with a few scratches on its green skin. “What happened, Yoshi?” Lubba didn’t fare any better as he began to look at the now quiet moon. “Oogh... What happened to that massive monster?”
“And where’s bowser’s son?” Rosalina noted, noticing that the meddling little Koopa is missing in action as well.
Yoshi looked at most of the contestants, who have all turned back to normal, then at Wario who was helping himself to the geodes with no interference. “Sigh... well, you see...” The green dinosaur decided to give a brief explanation of everything that had happened in this moon, leading up to Geodusis’ demise.
Waluigi placed his palm on his face in disgrace. “I can't believe I've animatedly suspended again! Nnnngh, I'll never live this down...!” But as he slumped, the slender rival of Luigi turned to see Wario with a pickaxe stuffing a sack full of geode crystals, humming a theme of his own as he worked. “Wario... what are you doing?!”
Wario looked at Waluigi and smiled. “Ahh, Waluigi, you're moving again! Come help me stash these geode crystals! Help yourself to some if you like!”
Waluigi looked at the chubby treasure hunter and shrugged. “Aw, well. It's sure better to collect crystals rather than be in one or being one.” And with that, the two rivals help themselves to the spoils of battle.
Rosalina turned to the weary participants with a smile of gratitude. “The eight of you did splendidly against the monster in your attempt to save us. You have my eternal gratitude.”
Producer-san, dusting off some dust off his business suit, stepped forward. “If that's what happened, then you have mine as well.”
“Thanks a lot, you guys.” Ritsuko smiled while readjusting her glasses after realizing the peril they were all in.
Yukiho walked to Boo for a moment and smiled. “Umm... Th-thank you, Boo...”
Boo blushed for a moment, “It's no problem, Yukiho...” Afterwards, the bashful ghost covered his face while blushing all over, enough for the Idol to giggle.
Hibiki, after comforting Takane and gently easing her fear, looked at the group for a moment. “So the next thing to do is to leave this weird moon.” Miki realized what the ponytailed Idol was saying and began to wonder. “How are we going to get down?” Before anybody could answer the Visual Queen’s question, a bright aqua green glow encased everyone present, the source of it being Benjamin’s power.
“Leave that to me.” Benjamin replied, as he used his power to teleport everyone off the moon , leaving it completely empty among the stars within the Center of the Universe...

That’s the end of another chapter! The participants, after a rough battle, have triumphed over Geodusis and freed the rest of the group from their crystallized prisons. But what of Mario and Luigi, with their battle with Bowser? Bowser Jr. had retreated to aid his father in the fight upon hearing the news form Corporal Paraplonk. Will the universe be saved once again from the Koopa King’s greedy clutches? You’ll just have to find out next chapter!
