Description
CrystalPhoenixBlader here, bringing in yet another chapter to the fanfic! Whoo boy, the situation got even more intense with a Blargg in the mix! Will the Idols and Team Mario manage to find a way to cool this lava filled foe befored they are charred completely to a crisp? Find out!
By the way, here’s the all too familiar disclaimer: I do not own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER characters belong to Namco Bandai. In addition, the characters “Reiji Arisu”, “Xiaomu”, and “Saya” belong to Namco Bandai and Monolift Soft. Also, the character “Boshi” belongs to Nintendo and Square Enix. So, with all that out of the way, let’s return to the suddenly heated action!
Oh, and if anyone’s is asking, the Blargg used here is a Magmaargh, the titular monster of Melty Monster Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Chapter 54
Attack of the Blarggs! Benjamin’s Sacrifice...
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Blargg’s Boiler ~ Deepest Point*
“Blargg Blargg Blargg! BLAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGG!!!!!!”
The roars of the lava creature known as Blargg resonated around the fiery cavern, more than enough to scare the Yoshi kids. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!”
“So that's a Blargg?!” Haruka shouted in complete shock as she and her fellow Idols stare in fright at the large lava creature.
*Insert Theme: “Danger!” (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)*
“It's huge!” Chihaya gasped, unable to avert her eyes away from the creature. Yukiho, completely frightened yet can’t dig a hole to bury herself in due to the possibility of magma underfoot, freaked out in fear as she hid behind Makoto, who gritted her teeth as she looked at the flaming beast that Wario unintentionally woke up with his pained screaming. “How are going to get out of this?!”
“I-It's only one Blargg, I'm not afraid of just one!” Liboshi tried to feign defiance to the imminent danger, but then a sudden tremor in the area began to change his tune. “Huh?!”
“Wh-what's happening?!” Takane, feeling the tremor as she turned left and right, shouted, causing their beloved Producer to panic! “Th-Th-This better n-n-not be an eruption!” But as the black haired man spoke, multiple Blarggs rose out of the lava with a roar!
“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGG!!!!!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” The Idols and Yoshi Kids scream in complete fright of the sight. Liboshi, unable to show any more defiance to the imminent peril, screamed. “ALL RIGHT! I'M SCARED NOW! AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” As the rascal Yoshi screamed, he wasted no time into running and grabbing Chihaya’s thigh tightly, causing the Idol to gasp in shock as she stared at the small blue Yoshi.
“So many Blarggs!” Hibiki gasped at the sight, while her beloved hamster Hamuzou, who tagged along for the ride, panicked and quickly hid in Hibiki’s ponytail for cover.
“BLOO-O-O-O-O-O-O-OOP!!!” Blooper yelped in panic as Yoshi looked around and saw that the corridor is now teeming full of Blarggs! “Cherry pits! They're almost everywhere!”
“But why?!” Iori asked the green dinosaur as she too looked panic stricken, but then Benjamin gave out the answer. "Don't those rocks explain it all?!"
“The egg-like rocks over there?” Yayoi responded as she, Iori, and Yoshi looked at the the egg shaped stones. Benjamin quickly nodded and gave his statement. "They ARE eggs. BLARGG EGGS. And THIS is a Blargg NESTING GROUND! We interrupted their nap during THE MATING SEASON!"
“M-M-MATING SEASON?!” Ritsuko yelped in shock, too frightened to be angry at the moment. Producer-san then looked at the large Blargg and asked. “What about this guy?!”
"He's a sentry making his rounds." Benjamin simply answered the man. The Shinra duo looked greatly intimidated as they stared at the large lava beast.
“How are we going take out creatures made out of lava, Reiji?” Xiaomu yapped in panic at her sup[erior, as the zebra haired man himself began to rack his brains for a surefire answer. “I'm thinking...!” Hammer Bro, noticing that the creature is about ready to make his move, called out to the Shinra agent. “You don't have time to think!”
“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGG!!!” The creature roared as it began to charge towards the group!
“Yikes!” Luigi yelped as his hat flew upwards from his head before landing back on. Ryou, sweating a bit, nodded to the green plumber. “Double ‘yikes’...” Yoshi, not wanting to put up with a large Blargg of all things, called out to the group on the course of action. “Grab a kid and let's get outta' here!”
“Make a run for it!” Mario, hopping onboard Yoshi, called out, prompting the group to pick up each of the Yoshi kids before making a hasty retreat!
“Xiaomu, let's move it!” Reiji ordered as he sheathed his weapons and placed them back on the rack he carried.
“Right! C'mon lil' guy.” Xiaomu nodded as she picked up a young Yoshi and used her innate fox agility to keep up with her superior.
“BLARGG BLAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGG!!!” The Blargg roared even louder, angry of its patrolling territory being intruded, making the sound waves affect the stalactites as they broke off and began to plummet into the magma and the path!
*THUD!* *THUD! *THUD!*
Unfortunately, by some dumb luck, a couple of stalactites have fallen in front of Mario, Luigi, Magikoopa, Yoshi, Iori, Yukiho, Ritsuko, and Ryou, blocking their way of escape and separating them from the rest of the group!
“Whoa! Peach!” Mario shouted as he found himself barred off from the princess by the stalactites. “Mario! Is everyone alright?!” Peach called out from the other side of the jagged rocks.
“Producer! We've cut off!” Ritsuko shouted as she pounded on the rocks, to no luck. Yukiho felt trapped and frightened as she began to cry. “What do we do?! That thing's still after us!”
“Yukiho, calm down! We just need to regroup up ahead!” Makoto tried to reassure her poor best friend from behind the stalactites. Luigi took the time observe the foundation to the rocks. “Dese stalactites are-a too large for me to jump ovah and da footing on top isn't flat to stand on, so regrouping's our only choice at dis point!”
“Keep the kids safe, you guys!” Yoshi turned to the group behind the roadblock through a small hole only good for peeking though. Hibiki grinned at the dinosaur hero with a confident smile while giving a thumbs-up. “You got it, Yoshi!” Hamuzou, popping out of its master’s ponytail and respecting Yoshi’s determination to keep the younglings safe from harm, gave a thumbs-up as well! ..If hamsters even have thumbs, but meh, details...
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Melty Monster Galaxy” (Super Mario Galaxy 2)*
“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGG!!!” The Blargg sentry roared once more, prompting Mario to trun his attention to the creature with a determined face as he alerted the rest of the participants. “Here it comes!” Afterwards, the heroic red plumber went into a fighting stance. But as soon as Mario braced himself for a fight, a group of Lava Ghosts leapt out of the lava with their eerie screaming! “AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh...!”
“NO, not these things again!!!” Ritsuko stammered in shock. Yukiho, completely frightened by the lava creatures, began to scream as she ran around flailing her arms! “HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”
“Yukiho! Get a hold of-a yourself!” Mario tried to console the frightened Idol, but soon enough, Luigi and Yoshi ran past the red hero with horrified looks on their faces!
(Luigi) “HWAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!”
(Yoshi) “AWAWAWAWAWAWAWWAWAH!”
“Mama mia.....” Mario facepalmed at the cowardice, but then noticed Ritsuko, Ryou, Iori and Magikoopa staring at the beast.
The beast then start belching fireballs at the group, who took evasive, if random, attempts to dodge without getting hit or falling into the lava. Deciding to keep Yukiho safe, Yoshi picked up the idol and placed her on his saddle, jumping and Flutter-Jumping to dodge the fireballs. One stray fireball completely missed the group and hit the top, causing boulders to rain down and block the way. One boulder was heading straight for Mario as he glanced.
“Mario-san!! Watch out!” Ritsuko shouted, afraid that the plumber might end up flat as a pancake!
Seizing his opportunity, the plumber pulled out a golden hammer (the Ultra Hammer in case you don’t know) and swung at the boulder, launching it into the stalactites exactly over the Blargg as it ready to dive onto the four participants.
*CRUNCH!!*
The Blargg ended up crunching on the hard boulder, and the sound of broken teeth and falling rocks began to resonate within the area.
“BLAAAAARRRRRGG!!! Blargg... BLARGG BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGG!!” The creature cried in agony as it slumped back into the lava.
“Did... you get him, Mario-san?” Ryou asked the plumber as he put away the hammer.
“I don’t-a think it’s-a ova yet...” Mario frowned as three more Blarggs rise around the corner... and all of them eyed at the contestants with a roar! “BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGG!!!”
“Oh, great! It's called for backup!” Yumeko yelped as the rest of the group watched from the other side of the path that was blocked.
“The contestants are going to get burned!!” Ayane panicked, but Reiji, seeing a small path in which only he and Xiaomu can cross created from the fallen boulders, left from boulder to boulder, with a command. “Leave his backup to us. We'll destroy them where they stand! You know what to do, Xiaomu.”
“Why, yes, of course! Shall we? Let's take that one down!” Xiaomu smiled as she and her partner leapt near one of the Blarggs from the new steep foothill they crossed. The Blargg merely turned its attention, only to react too late...
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Path to Certain Victory” (Namco x Capcom)* (You know what these two are gonna do right?)
“Get ready for these techniques!” Reiji shouted as he fired his guns at the Blargg. The duo then somehow kicked the creature without burning their feet. Xiaomu landed as she raised her palm. “Xiaomu... WAAAAAAVVVEEEE!!!” The Sage Fox, through her magic, encased the creature in an orb of spiritual energy. The area temporarily changed to a spiritual circle under the beast as Reiji gripped one of his blades and shouted out loud. “The power of Tenchi Banbatsu!!”
Within moments, Xiaomu held the creature still within the containment spell she used, the Mystic Fox Technique: Demon Gate Seal, leaving it defenseless as Reiji, through his extensive training of the Gogyo Battou sword drawing style, began to relentlessly attack the lava creature with his swords, not caring that his flame encrusted blade, “Karin” is not doing as much damage, before quickly switching to his guns Gold and Hollywood at a blinding speed and firing mercilessly at the stunned Blargg. Quickly laying the rest of his weapons on the floor, Reiji readied the Sorin blade as Xiaomu let down the stunned Blargg as she leapt into position and readied the blade within her Suiren swordstaff. Before the lava creature had time to recover and react, Reiji and Xiaomu struck the creature at the same moment, clearly looking like the duo cleaved it in two.
“Shinra... BANSHO!!!” Reiji and Xiaomu shouted as the zebra haired agent relaxed his sword arm and the Sage Fox sheathed the blade part of her weapon back in the staff. Within moments, a spray of lava from the cleaved creature rained all over, though the droplets all landed back in the magma, failing to land on anyone in range..
*End Theme*
Producer-san saw the boulders make a sudden roadblock after Reiji and Xiaomu crossed for a brief moment to attack, as the path they used sank into the fiery depths, and threw his arms. “Boulders?!”
“Aw, now that stinks! And I'm not talking about the brimstone.” Daisy pouted with her hand on her forehead. Cracking her knuckles in the hopes of getting Yukiho out of the mess she got placed in, Makoto walked toward the boulders with a determined face. “I'm going to move those rocks outta the way.” D.K., walking on Makoto’s left side, began to beat on his chest as he spoke. “Looks we got some heavy lifting to do.” Wario, confident that he could get the boulders thrown away with ease, walked by Makoto’s right side pounding his own fists. “Heavy lifting? Let's do some heavy punching while we do our thing!”
Xiaomu, along with Reiji, managed to leap back before the path completely sank, and went to her knees in fatigue. “That attack we pulled has already drained us of some energy... Reiji.” The man particular, landed as well to catch his breath as he recollected his weapons and gritted his teeth. “Then we're going to need to build up some more... but there are two of those Blargg things left...”
“Please hurry, those monsters are getting close!” a light blue Yoshi kid pleaded to the group, while a young red Yoshi went into a fetal position, scared for its life. “We're doomed!”
“No, you're not. You just have to always keep hope with 'til the bitter end."
*Contestants’ Side*
*Insert Theme: “Melty Molten Galaxy” (Super Mario Galaxy)*
“Boulders?!” Ritsuko shouted, noticing the path in which the group was to regroup was blocked off, as noted by Ryou. “They're blocking the path to the entrance!”
“And we have Blarggs AND Lava Ghosts on our tail! How can we get rid of these?!” Iori panicked as she eyed the creatures. Yukiho was already starting to lose hope as she assumed a fetal position and chirped in a sing-song tone. “I seen lava, I seen ghosts, BUT LAVA GHOSTS, I DISLIKE THE MOST!” After a few moments, the completely frightened Idol began to go into broken laughter with tears in her eyes, quickly grabbing Luigi’s attention as he looked at the Idol with worry. “Oh, Yukiho... She's-a startin' to lose it.”
Seeing that flight is no longer an option, Mario stared at the beasts as he pulled out his Ultra Hammer once more. “It's-a Hamma Time! Luigi, Gimme a hand!”
“Mario! Okey dokey!” Luigi nodded as he looked at Yukiho once more, then looked at the lava creatures as he pulled out his own Ultra Hammer. Yukiho perked up when she saw the green flame brightly burning in Luigi’s blue eyes as he saw that fighting was the only option left.
“Leave it to levitation magic to save the day! I'm no slouch at this!” Magikoopa smiled as he pulled out his wand and spell book, and with a few arcane incantations, the whole group found themselves in midair! Also summoning out Ice Flowers.. and a sudden Penguin Suit, the Koopa mage spread them out to the rest of the contestants to change into their Ice forms, although the Penguin Suit bounced all over and landed on Yukiho’s head, morphing her into Penguin Yukiho!
Using the Ultra Hammers, which are now encrusted in ice thanks to the Ice Flowers Mario and Luigi began chunk waves of ice at the two Blarggs, while Iori, Ryou, and Ritsuko, effected by the Ice Flowers, stick to strafing while hurling Ice Balls. Penguin Yukiho threw a few Ice Balls, while penguin-sliding to move out of the way. Enraged, the second Blargg chunked a large fireball, which missed but destroyed the road block. In a frenzied rage, the large lava creature rammed the cliff the group was standing on!
“WOOOOAAAAH!!!” The group, trying to stay their ground. Unfortunately, Liboshi was unable to maintain his balance as he was flung off the ground... into the lava! “Wah- Yaaaaaahhhhhh!!!”
“Ahh, NOOOOO!” Chihaya shouted before recklessly diving in to attempt to save Liboshi, much to the shock of all the Idols as they gasp and panic.
(Producer-san) “CHIHAYA!!!”
(Ritsuko) “NO!!!”
(Haruka) “CHIHAYAAAAAAA!!!”
*End Theme, Scenery fades to grey, time slows down*
The blue songstress froze as she looked at the lava below that would possibly end her life. “Oh, gods... I'm falling. This is it, isn't it...? Everyone... Producer... Haruka... Ohhh, YUU!”
*Scenery and time reverts to normal*
Just then, the songstress saw a shadow falling next to her. “Huh?!”
Producer-san, Ritsuko, and Haruka gasp in shock at what they saw, while Mario, Luigi and Peach stood dumbfounded. “Wha...?!”
“Chihaya!!!” Benjamin shouted as he dove under the idol and pressed his palms forward.
“B...” CHihaya started to talk, but then felt a strong wind emanate from Benjamin’s palms blow her and Liboshi upwards... and partially left rips on Chihaya’s Vital Sunflower outfit. (Don’t worry, the cuts are not anywhere that should not be seen!)
“Hiii!” Chihaya blushed in panic, but then realized that Benjamin is now plummeting into the lava! “B-BENJAMIN-KUN!!!”
“Heh.” The interdimesnional being smirked, gave a wink and a thumbs-up before falling in the lava..
*Ker-SPLASH!!*
*Insert Theme: “Videl is Injured” (Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury)*
The Idol’s pupils shrink as she landed on the ground. All who witnessed Benjamin’s heroic action stood in shock.
“Mama mia!” Mario froze in shock, while Peach covered her mouth. “Wh- what...”
(Producer-san) “B... Benjamin-san...”
(Ritsuko) “My god...!”
(Takane) “How horrible...!”
(Hibiki) “No... Benjamin-san!”
Yukiho froze in horro to what happened to Benjamin as her legs started to feel weak. “I... I think I'm feeling sick...” Afterwards, she collapsed, quickly getting Daisy and Makoto’s attention. “Yukiho!”
Chihaya slumped to her knees in utter sorrow, overwhelmed in sorrow. ”How could I let this happen? He... Benjamin-kun... died to save MY life!” . Haruka walked over with a sadden look in her green eyes and she place her hand on her friend’s shoulder. “Chihaya...”
“BLAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGG!!!” The first of the two Blarggs roared, while second joined in. “BLARGG BLAAAAAAAAAAAAARGG!!!”
*End Theme*
Remembering the smile Benjamin showed, Chihaya lifted her head up as her tear stained face now glared at the Blarggs, with a desire to avenge the fallen being. Without hesitation, she snatched a spare Ice Flower that Luigi popped out.
“H..HEY!!” Luigi yelped as he stared at the songstress walked toward the flaming beasts.
*Insert Theme: “Gohan Powers Up” (Dragon Ball Z (American Soundtrack))*
“I..” Chihaya started as the Ice Flower took its effect, changing her into Ice Chihaya once more, this time because of her emotions going wild, a howling blizzard emanated from her frame! “I NEVER WANTED THIS TO HAPPEEEEEEN!!!” Without relent or mercy, she started to hurl multiple Ice Balls, pelting the lava monster. Getting aggravated by the assault, the creature started to charge towards Ice Chihaya, only for her to respond by conjuring a large Ice mass and hurled it straight into the monster’s face with a scream of anger!
*WHAM!!!*

“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgg...!!!” The Blargg let out a scream of pain before falling back in the lava. The last Blargg, angry that its buddy is down for the count roared as it charged for the group. “BLARGG BLARGGBLARGG!!!”
“The other one's coming!” The white Yoshi kid shouted while the black youngling panicked while holding its head. “He's going to eat us!” Soon enough, all the Yoshi kids are screaming... “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”
“How are we going take down Blargg number 3?” Liboshi began to panic, but then the Lava Ghosts began to jump out of the lava and, for some odd reason, swarm all over the Blargg, again giving off that shrill scream. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!”
*Insert Theme: “Danger!” (Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story)*
“Blargg?! BLARGG! BLAAAAAAAARGG!!!” The Blargg shouted in surprise as it angrily tried to shake some of the ghosts off., leaving the group who witnessing it speechless.
“Oh! Let's-a get outta here while he's-a distracted!” Mario, snapping out of the dazed funk, informed the group before running for the entrance. Producer-san nodded to the stocky plumber in response. “Yosh! Everyone, let's get out this place!
“Oh, hurry!” Ritsuko called out as everyone began to run for the entrance of the cave. Chihaya and Hibiki, thinking of Benjamin for a second, halted their movement for a bit before exiting the cave.

*Yoshi’s Island ~ Blargg’s Boiler ~ Entrance*
*Insert Theme: “At the End of the Day” (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky)*
Two of the veteran Yoshis who helped Chief Yoshi in the past as well as and Moyoshi waited by the entrance in which the entire group, along with all the Yoshi kids, escaped.
“Hey, they're back!” The brown veteran called out as he caught sight of the group, as well as his red pal. “And they found all the kids!”
“Yoshi-boo! You're okay!” Moyoshi ran to Yoshi and Iori, who look a little singed but clearly much alive and well. “Hey, Mom!” Yoshi smiled at his mother, as did Iori. “Moyoshi-sama!”
The Yoshi kids run past the veterans to hurry to their parents, some however stopped, considering that the veterans WERE the parents!
“YO!!!” A familiar gruff voice echoed, getting Liboshi’s attention as he got off Chihaya’s arms. “Big Bro!”
“Liboshi, you're safe!” Boshi called out and ran to the small blue Yoshi... before bonking him on the head with his palm.
*BONK!*
“Aughk! What da heck was that for?!” Liboshi frowned while rubbing his hit part of the head.
“How the heck could you let yourself get kidnapped?! I taught you better, you little--... Grrrr, do you have any clue how WORRIED I was?!” Boshi scolded his little brother before beginning to crack up.
“Hey, hey, hey. Settle down! Don't-a flip-a your lid.” Mario tried to reason with Boshi, as did Luigi. “You should be nice-a to your little brotha, Boshi.”
“Gah... Sorry. This little guy's all Mom and Dad left behind they were... Squashed Bananas, you two, I couldn't hold it in after all the TRASH in my life I had to go through.” Boshi apologized to the brothers while trying to keep his tears In.
“Boshi...” Yoshi looked at his rival with concern, while it seemed Iori has started to have a bit of respect for the crude Yoshi... if only a little. “Wow...”
“What a big brother.” Takane spoke as she too seemed to have seconds thoughts about Boshi.
“But I got you guys and gals to thank for saving this lil' punk from certain death in that infernal place.” Boshi kindly smiled as he sighed in relief.
“Hey, thank this lady here, too, Big Bro! She saved me from falling in the lava!” Liboshi spoke as he walked to Chihaya.. who looked very crestfallen for a good reason.
*End Theme*
“No... I'm no savior... I couldn't save anyone. And I couldn't save anyone who saves me...” Chihaya sadly turned her head away..
*Insert Theme: “Sadness and Sorrow” (Naruto)*
The other Idols, as well as Producer-san, realize why Chihaya was feeling down as memories of the time spent with Benjamin echoed in their minds.
(Ami & Mami) “Ben-nii...”
(Producer-san) “Benjamin-san...”
(Ritsuko) “...That was stupid...”
Xiaomu, realizing the fact as well, began to feel sad as she began to cry a bit. “Uuuuuuu...”
“I only knew him for only a short time. But... he made a noble sacrifice.” Reiji sadly frowned as he closed his eyes and crossed his arms in utmost respect, knowing that he once considered making that choice once as a silhouette of Benjamin appeared in the sky for a bit...
"Made a noble sacrifice? Please."
*End Theme with Record Scratch sound*
“Huh?!” Everyone reacted as they turned around as saw Benjamin still covered in some lava and spitting whatever lava got in his mouth into the ground, visibly alive and completely uncharred.
*Insert Theme: “Feline Curiosity” (Yumeria) (It’s a mystery, it is! ..Oh great, now I’m starting to talk like Neneko...)
“Ptoo. I've done A LOT of self-sacrifice A LOT MORE than anyone of you alive could know or understand! Besides, it's great to be known as a martyr without actually having to be dead, wouldn't you say?" Benjamin spoke with a smile as he wiped the last of the lava off his shoulder, which was more than enough for the jaws of everyone in the area to fall smak into the ground!
(Boshi) “What...”
(Liboshi) “Yowza!”
(Magikoopa) “WTH, Dood!!” (Heck, okay, to not cause trouble..)
(Eri) “OMG!”
(Dry Bones) “He ain't bones?!”
(Haruka) “B-B-BENJAMIN-KUN?!?!?!”
(Mario) “Double mama mia!”
(Luigi) “Holy Ravioli!”
(Takane) “Oh mai gah!”
(Hibiki) “Benjamin-san!?!”
(Daisy) “No way!!”
Yukiho, completely dumbstruck of seeing Benjamin ALIVE after seeing him fall in the lava, simply fell backwards and fainted, grabbing Makoto’s attention. “Yukiho!”
“No... no way... That's... That's impossible...!” Producer-san slumped to his knees with his glasses partly on, as did Ritsuko. “You took the words right out of my mouth... What the *coin* is this guy really?”
Iori, clearly frustrated of seeing Benjamin alive despite the high possibility of no one easily coming out alive after falling in the lava, yelled at Benjamin while readying a punch in the face. “BAKA!!! BENJAMIN-SAN NO BAKAAAAAAA!!!”
“Don’t even think about it.” Benjamin casually spoke as Iori’s punch made contact. Oddly, the punch on the being’s Yoshi nose did not move him, and because it is still hot from the lava, Iori’s gloved hand has caught fire!
“KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA- ITAI ITAI ITATATATATATATA!!!” Iori yelped as she ran all over blowing her ignited hand to blow out the flames, while the being just coolly stood at the spot. “Lesson: Anger makes you stupid. That multiplies for Tsunderes."
*End Theme with Sound Effect: “Fail Horn” (The Price is Right)*
Just then, Chihaya quietly walked up towards Benjamin’s face. “What?" The interdimesnional cyan Yoshi asked.
“B-Baka...! Don't do that again... We... I thought you died...!!!” Chihaya choked and sobbed sadly.
“I get that a lot, too. It's impossible for someone dead to die again, especially when I was dead long before you even met me." Benjamin sighed, which made everyone pale on the spot.
*Insert Theme: “Naruto’s Daily Life” (Naruto)*
“Hey, whaddaya know, another dead guy! Welcome to the club!” Boo smiled as he grinned at Benjamin, which made Dry Bones scratch his bony head. “I don't think so, Boo. He's pretty much alive for someone who claims to be dead.”
Ritsuko, clearly looking completely annoyed and fed up with this malarkey as her scary purple aura has returned, stormed up toward Benjamin’s face with a scary growl. “Listen to me, you omnidimensional enigma! You better explain to me and everyone present WHAT OR WHO you are, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW! I am through with your mystery bull*coin*!!!”
Keeping a cool head, Benjamin coolly blew off the scary aura while starting to give his answer.“ ...As much you want to know...” The being then began to wag his finger with his other hand on his waist. “But I can't, cuz that would be s-p-o-i-l-e-r-s."
*Insert Sound Effect: “Boing!” (Hanna Barbera cartoons)*
“GWAH?!?!?!” Ritsuko’s jaw fell down with her finger sticking out, unable to understand what Benjamin meant. Benjamin looked at the young producer’s stupefied reaction and gave a thumbs up!. "Spoiler Prevention successful!"

“Xiaomu, I'm never going to get this guy.” Reiji rubbed his head in confusion, with his partner just as bewildered as he is! “How can he do all that stuff? Is he like a deity or something?”
*Insert Theme: “Tropical Island” (Mario Party)*
“If everyone is done, shall we go back to the board in the Floral Field Forest?” Moyoshi asked the entire group, trying to get everything back into focus.
“Yes, shall we continue the party? Chief Yoshi will want to know of our success.” Peach nodded in agreement. Mario, happy that the incident is resolved, announced to everyone. “Yeah, let's-a continue da fun!” The announcement met with a cheering ovation from all of the group.
Before Benjamin made his stepes back, acertain Idol wanted to talk with him. "Hibiki?"
“Benjamin-san, you scared me and everyone else in that cave. But I'm glad you are unharmed, regardless of whatever you are.” Hibiki pleaded to the enigmatic being, with the Futami twins in tow, too worried to want to cause any trouble at the moment.
“But that was dangerous, Ben-nii! I thought I'd have a heart attack!” Mami grasped her chest, trying to catch her breath, as did Ami. “Yeah, Ben-nii! Please let us know when going to do stuff like that!”
“Sorry if I can't help that. But let's go back to having fun, awright?” Benjamin apologized to the three Idols, reassuring them as they head back. But unknown to everyone, something DID happen to Chief Yoshi while everyone was in the cave...

Poochy ran to a cliff, with Kotori’s hairband in its mouth, to see the volcanic region of the island. For years, the area was supposed to be dormant, but lately, the area has become active with billowing smoke rising into the air.
The worried hound whimpered a bit before it turned and ran away, hoping to inform Yoshi immediately...

Whew! What a chapter, going from intense to silly! But the Yoshi kids are safe and sound, but the group is unaware that Chief Yoshi are missing, thanks to the vengeful Kame. Can little Poochy run back to the Floral Field Forest and inform Yoshi? Find out next chapter!
Also, can’t have Reiji and Xiaomu without their signature attack in play, right? ..And what IS Saya up to now that her plans have ended up in smoke?

CrystalPhoenixBlader here, bringing in yet another chapter to the fanfic! Whoo boy, the situation got even more intense with a Blargg in the mix! Will the Idols and Team Mario manage to find a way to cool this lava filled foe befored they are charred completely to a crisp? Find out!
By the way, here’s the all too familiar disclaimer: I do not own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER characters belong to Namco Bandai. In addition, the characters “Reiji Arisu”, “Xiaomu”, and “Saya” belong to Namco Bandai and Monolift Soft. Also, the character “Boshi” belongs to Nintendo and Square Enix. So, with all that out of the way, let’s return to the suddenly heated action!
Oh, and if anyone’s is asking, the Blargg used here is a Magmaargh, the titular monster of Melty Monster Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Chapter 54
Attack of the Blarggs! Benjamin’s Sacrifice...
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Blargg’s Boiler ~ Deepest Point*
“Blargg Blargg Blargg! BLAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGG!!!!!!”
The roars of the lava creature known as Blargg resonated around the fiery cavern, more than enough to scare the Yoshi kids. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!”
“So that's a Blargg?!” Haruka shouted in complete shock as she and her fellow Idols stare in fright at the large lava creature.
*Insert Theme: “Danger!” (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)*
“It's huge!” Chihaya gasped, unable to avert her eyes away from the creature. Yukiho, completely frightened yet can’t dig a hole to bury herself in due to the possibility of magma underfoot, freaked out in fear as she hid behind Makoto, who gritted her teeth as she looked at the flaming beast that Wario unintentionally woke up with his pained screaming. “How are going to get out of this?!”
“I-It's only one Blargg, I'm not afraid of just one!” Liboshi tried to feign defiance to the imminent danger, but then a sudden tremor in the area began to change his tune. “Huh?!”
“Wh-what's happening?!” Takane, feeling the tremor as she turned left and right, shouted, causing their beloved Producer to panic! “Th-Th-This better n-n-not be an eruption!” But as the black haired man spoke, multiple Blarggs rose out of the lava with a roar!
“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGG!!!!!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” The Idols and Yoshi Kids scream in complete fright of the sight. Liboshi, unable to show any more defiance to the imminent peril, screamed. “ALL RIGHT! I'M SCARED NOW! AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” As the rascal Yoshi screamed, he wasted no time into running and grabbing Chihaya’s thigh tightly, causing the Idol to gasp in shock as she stared at the small blue Yoshi.
“So many Blarggs!” Hibiki gasped at the sight, while her beloved hamster Hamuzou, who tagged along for the ride, panicked and quickly hid in Hibiki’s ponytail for cover.
“BLOO-O-O-O-O-O-O-OOP!!!” Blooper yelped in panic as Yoshi looked around and saw that the corridor is now teeming full of Blarggs! “Cherry pits! They're almost everywhere!”
“But why?!” Iori asked the green dinosaur as she too looked panic stricken, but then Benjamin gave out the answer. "Don't those rocks explain it all?!"
“The egg-like rocks over there?” Yayoi responded as she, Iori, and Yoshi looked at the the egg shaped stones. Benjamin quickly nodded and gave his statement. "They ARE eggs. BLARGG EGGS. And THIS is a Blargg NESTING GROUND! We interrupted their nap during THE MATING SEASON!"
“M-M-MATING SEASON?!” Ritsuko yelped in shock, too frightened to be angry at the moment. Producer-san then looked at the large Blargg and asked. “What about this guy?!”
"He's a sentry making his rounds." Benjamin simply answered the man. The Shinra duo looked greatly intimidated as they stared at the large lava beast.
“How are we going take out creatures made out of lava, Reiji?” Xiaomu yapped in panic at her sup[erior, as the zebra haired man himself began to rack his brains for a surefire answer. “I'm thinking...!” Hammer Bro, noticing that the creature is about ready to make his move, called out to the Shinra agent. “You don't have time to think!”
“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGG!!!” The creature roared as it began to charge towards the group!
“Yikes!” Luigi yelped as his hat flew upwards from his head before landing back on. Ryou, sweating a bit, nodded to the green plumber. “Double ‘yikes’...” Yoshi, not wanting to put up with a large Blargg of all things, called out to the group on the course of action. “Grab a kid and let's get outta' here!”
“Make a run for it!” Mario, hopping onboard Yoshi, called out, prompting the group to pick up each of the Yoshi kids before making a hasty retreat!
“Xiaomu, let's move it!” Reiji ordered as he sheathed his weapons and placed them back on the rack he carried.
“Right! C'mon lil' guy.” Xiaomu nodded as she picked up a young Yoshi and used her innate fox agility to keep up with her superior.
“BLARGG BLAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGG!!!” The Blargg roared even louder, angry of its patrolling territory being intruded, making the sound waves affect the stalactites as they broke off and began to plummet into the magma and the path!
*THUD!* *THUD! *THUD!*
Unfortunately, by some dumb luck, a couple of stalactites have fallen in front of Mario, Luigi, Magikoopa, Yoshi, Iori, Yukiho, Ritsuko, and Ryou, blocking their way of escape and separating them from the rest of the group!
“Whoa! Peach!” Mario shouted as he found himself barred off from the princess by the stalactites. “Mario! Is everyone alright?!” Peach called out from the other side of the jagged rocks.
“Producer! We've cut off!” Ritsuko shouted as she pounded on the rocks, to no luck. Yukiho felt trapped and frightened as she began to cry. “What do we do?! That thing's still after us!”
“Yukiho, calm down! We just need to regroup up ahead!” Makoto tried to reassure her poor best friend from behind the stalactites. Luigi took the time observe the foundation to the rocks. “Dese stalactites are-a too large for me to jump ovah and da footing on top isn't flat to stand on, so regrouping's our only choice at dis point!”
“Keep the kids safe, you guys!” Yoshi turned to the group behind the roadblock through a small hole only good for peeking though. Hibiki grinned at the dinosaur hero with a confident smile while giving a thumbs-up. “You got it, Yoshi!” Hamuzou, popping out of its master’s ponytail and respecting Yoshi’s determination to keep the younglings safe from harm, gave a thumbs-up as well! ..If hamsters even have thumbs, but meh, details...
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Melty Monster Galaxy” (Super Mario Galaxy 2)*
“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGG!!!” The Blargg sentry roared once more, prompting Mario to trun his attention to the creature with a determined face as he alerted the rest of the participants. “Here it comes!” Afterwards, the heroic red plumber went into a fighting stance. But as soon as Mario braced himself for a fight, a group of Lava Ghosts leapt out of the lava with their eerie screaming! “AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh...!”
“NO, not these things again!!!” Ritsuko stammered in shock. Yukiho, completely frightened by the lava creatures, began to scream as she ran around flailing her arms! “HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”
“Yukiho! Get a hold of-a yourself!” Mario tried to console the frightened Idol, but soon enough, Luigi and Yoshi ran past the red hero with horrified looks on their faces!
(Luigi) “HWAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!”
(Yoshi) “AWAWAWAWAWAWAWWAWAH!”
“Mama mia.....” Mario facepalmed at the cowardice, but then noticed Ritsuko, Ryou, Iori and Magikoopa staring at the beast.
The beast then start belching fireballs at the group, who took evasive, if random, attempts to dodge without getting hit or falling into the lava. Deciding to keep Yukiho safe, Yoshi picked up the idol and placed her on his saddle, jumping and Flutter-Jumping to dodge the fireballs. One stray fireball completely missed the group and hit the top, causing boulders to rain down and block the way. One boulder was heading straight for Mario as he glanced.
“Mario-san!! Watch out!” Ritsuko shouted, afraid that the plumber might end up flat as a pancake!
Seizing his opportunity, the plumber pulled out a golden hammer (the Ultra Hammer in case you don’t know) and swung at the boulder, launching it into the stalactites exactly over the Blargg as it ready to dive onto the four participants.
*CRUNCH!!*
The Blargg ended up crunching on the hard boulder, and the sound of broken teeth and falling rocks began to resonate within the area.
“BLAAAAARRRRRGG!!! Blargg... BLARGG BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGG!!” The creature cried in agony as it slumped back into the lava.
“Did... you get him, Mario-san?” Ryou asked the plumber as he put away the hammer.
“I don’t-a think it’s-a ova yet...” Mario frowned as three more Blarggs rise around the corner... and all of them eyed at the contestants with a roar! “BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGG!!!”
“Oh, great! It's called for backup!” Yumeko yelped as the rest of the group watched from the other side of the path that was blocked.
“The contestants are going to get burned!!” Ayane panicked, but Reiji, seeing a small path in which only he and Xiaomu can cross created from the fallen boulders, left from boulder to boulder, with a command. “Leave his backup to us. We'll destroy them where they stand! You know what to do, Xiaomu.”
“Why, yes, of course! Shall we? Let's take that one down!” Xiaomu smiled as she and her partner leapt near one of the Blarggs from the new steep foothill they crossed. The Blargg merely turned its attention, only to react too late...
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Path to Certain Victory” (Namco x Capcom)* (You know what these two are gonna do right?)
“Get ready for these techniques!” Reiji shouted as he fired his guns at the Blargg. The duo then somehow kicked the creature without burning their feet. Xiaomu landed as she raised her palm. “Xiaomu... WAAAAAAVVVEEEE!!!” The Sage Fox, through her magic, encased the creature in an orb of spiritual energy. The area temporarily changed to a spiritual circle under the beast as Reiji gripped one of his blades and shouted out loud. “The power of Tenchi Banbatsu!!”
Within moments, Xiaomu held the creature still within the containment spell she used, the Mystic Fox Technique: Demon Gate Seal, leaving it defenseless as Reiji, through his extensive training of the Gogyo Battou sword drawing style, began to relentlessly attack the lava creature with his swords, not caring that his flame encrusted blade, “Karin” is not doing as much damage, before quickly switching to his guns Gold and Hollywood at a blinding speed and firing mercilessly at the stunned Blargg. Quickly laying the rest of his weapons on the floor, Reiji readied the Sorin blade as Xiaomu let down the stunned Blargg as she leapt into position and readied the blade within her Suiren swordstaff. Before the lava creature had time to recover and react, Reiji and Xiaomu struck the creature at the same moment, clearly looking like the duo cleaved it in two.
“Shinra... BANSHO!!!” Reiji and Xiaomu shouted as the zebra haired agent relaxed his sword arm and the Sage Fox sheathed the blade part of her weapon back in the staff. Within moments, a spray of lava from the cleaved creature rained all over, though the droplets all landed back in the magma, failing to land on anyone in range..
*End Theme*
Producer-san saw the boulders make a sudden roadblock after Reiji and Xiaomu crossed for a brief moment to attack, as the path they used sank into the fiery depths, and threw his arms. “Boulders?!”
“Aw, now that stinks! And I'm not talking about the brimstone.” Daisy pouted with her hand on her forehead. Cracking her knuckles in the hopes of getting Yukiho out of the mess she got placed in, Makoto walked toward the boulders with a determined face. “I'm going to move those rocks outta the way.” D.K., walking on Makoto’s left side, began to beat on his chest as he spoke. “Looks we got some heavy lifting to do.” Wario, confident that he could get the boulders thrown away with ease, walked by Makoto’s right side pounding his own fists. “Heavy lifting? Let's do some heavy punching while we do our thing!”
Xiaomu, along with Reiji, managed to leap back before the path completely sank, and went to her knees in fatigue. “That attack we pulled has already drained us of some energy... Reiji.” The man particular, landed as well to catch his breath as he recollected his weapons and gritted his teeth. “Then we're going to need to build up some more... but there are two of those Blargg things left...”
“Please hurry, those monsters are getting close!” a light blue Yoshi kid pleaded to the group, while a young red Yoshi went into a fetal position, scared for its life. “We're doomed!”
“No, you're not. You just have to always keep hope with 'til the bitter end."
*Contestants’ Side*
*Insert Theme: “Melty Molten Galaxy” (Super Mario Galaxy)*
“Boulders?!” Ritsuko shouted, noticing the path in which the group was to regroup was blocked off, as noted by Ryou. “They're blocking the path to the entrance!”
“And we have Blarggs AND Lava Ghosts on our tail! How can we get rid of these?!” Iori panicked as she eyed the creatures. Yukiho was already starting to lose hope as she assumed a fetal position and chirped in a sing-song tone. “I seen lava, I seen ghosts, BUT LAVA GHOSTS, I DISLIKE THE MOST!” After a few moments, the completely frightened Idol began to go into broken laughter with tears in her eyes, quickly grabbing Luigi’s attention as he looked at the Idol with worry. “Oh, Yukiho... She's-a startin' to lose it.”
Seeing that flight is no longer an option, Mario stared at the beasts as he pulled out his Ultra Hammer once more. “It's-a Hamma Time! Luigi, Gimme a hand!”
“Mario! Okey dokey!” Luigi nodded as he looked at Yukiho once more, then looked at the lava creatures as he pulled out his own Ultra Hammer. Yukiho perked up when she saw the green flame brightly burning in Luigi’s blue eyes as he saw that fighting was the only option left.
“Leave it to levitation magic to save the day! I'm no slouch at this!” Magikoopa smiled as he pulled out his wand and spell book, and with a few arcane incantations, the whole group found themselves in midair! Also summoning out Ice Flowers.. and a sudden Penguin Suit, the Koopa mage spread them out to the rest of the contestants to change into their Ice forms, although the Penguin Suit bounced all over and landed on Yukiho’s head, morphing her into Penguin Yukiho!
Using the Ultra Hammers, which are now encrusted in ice thanks to the Ice Flowers Mario and Luigi began chunk waves of ice at the two Blarggs, while Iori, Ryou, and Ritsuko, effected by the Ice Flowers, stick to strafing while hurling Ice Balls. Penguin Yukiho threw a few Ice Balls, while penguin-sliding to move out of the way. Enraged, the second Blargg chunked a large fireball, which missed but destroyed the road block. In a frenzied rage, the large lava creature rammed the cliff the group was standing on!
“WOOOOAAAAH!!!” The group, trying to stay their ground. Unfortunately, Liboshi was unable to maintain his balance as he was flung off the ground... into the lava! “Wah- Yaaaaaahhhhhh!!!”
“Ahh, NOOOOO!” Chihaya shouted before recklessly diving in to attempt to save Liboshi, much to the shock of all the Idols as they gasp and panic.
(Producer-san) “CHIHAYA!!!”
(Ritsuko) “NO!!!”
(Haruka) “CHIHAYAAAAAAA!!!”
*End Theme, Scenery fades to grey, time slows down*
The blue songstress froze as she looked at the lava below that would possibly end her life. “Oh, gods... I'm falling. This is it, isn't it...? Everyone... Producer... Haruka... Ohhh, YUU!”
*Scenery and time reverts to normal*
Just then, the songstress saw a shadow falling next to her. “Huh?!”
Producer-san, Ritsuko, and Haruka gasp in shock at what they saw, while Mario, Luigi and Peach stood dumbfounded. “Wha...?!”
“Chihaya!!!” Benjamin shouted as he dove under the idol and pressed his palms forward.
“B...” CHihaya started to talk, but then felt a strong wind emanate from Benjamin’s palms blow her and Liboshi upwards... and partially left rips on Chihaya’s Vital Sunflower outfit. (Don’t worry, the cuts are not anywhere that should not be seen!)
“Hiii!” Chihaya blushed in panic, but then realized that Benjamin is now plummeting into the lava! “B-BENJAMIN-KUN!!!”
“Heh.” The interdimesnional being smirked, gave a wink and a thumbs-up before falling in the lava..
*Ker-SPLASH!!*
*Insert Theme: “Videl is Injured” (Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury)*
The Idol’s pupils shrink as she landed on the ground. All who witnessed Benjamin’s heroic action stood in shock.
“Mama mia!” Mario froze in shock, while Peach covered her mouth. “Wh- what...”
(Producer-san) “B... Benjamin-san...”
(Ritsuko) “My god...!”
(Takane) “How horrible...!”
(Hibiki) “No... Benjamin-san!”
Yukiho froze in horro to what happened to Benjamin as her legs started to feel weak. “I... I think I'm feeling sick...” Afterwards, she collapsed, quickly getting Daisy and Makoto’s attention. “Yukiho!”
Chihaya slumped to her knees in utter sorrow, overwhelmed in sorrow. ”How could I let this happen? He... Benjamin-kun... died to save MY life!” . Haruka walked over with a sadden look in her green eyes and she place her hand on her friend’s shoulder. “Chihaya...”
“BLAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGG!!!” The first of the two Blarggs roared, while second joined in. “BLARGG BLAAAAAAAAAAAAARGG!!!”

Remembering the smile Benjamin showed, Chihaya lifted her head up as her tear stained face now glared at the Blarggs, with a desire to avenge the fallen being. Without hesitation, she snatched a spare Ice Flower that Luigi popped out.
“H..HEY!!” Luigi yelped as he stared at the songstress walked toward the flaming beasts.
*Insert Theme: “Gohan Powers Up” (Dragon Ball Z (American Soundtrack))*
“I..” Chihaya started as the Ice Flower took its effect, changing her into Ice Chihaya once more, this time because of her emotions going wild, a howling blizzard emanated from her frame! “I NEVER WANTED THIS TO HAPPEEEEEEN!!!” Without relent or mercy, she started to hurl multiple Ice Balls, pelting the lava monster. Getting aggravated by the assault, the creature started to charge towards Ice Chihaya, only for her to respond by conjuring a large Ice mass and hurled it straight into the monster’s face with a scream of anger!
*WHAM!!!*

“BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgg...!!!” The Blargg let out a scream of pain before falling back in the lava. The last Blargg, angry that its buddy is down for the count roared as it charged for the group. “BLARGG BLARGGBLARGG!!!”
“The other one's coming!” The white Yoshi kid shouted while the black youngling panicked while holding its head. “He's going to eat us!” Soon enough, all the Yoshi kids are screaming... “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”
“How are we going take down Blargg number 3?” Liboshi began to panic, but then the Lava Ghosts began to jump out of the lava and, for some odd reason, swarm all over the Blargg, again giving off that shrill scream. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!”
*Insert Theme: “Danger!” (Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story)*
“Blargg?! BLARGG! BLAAAAAAAARGG!!!” The Blargg shouted in surprise as it angrily tried to shake some of the ghosts off., leaving the group who witnessing it speechless.
“Oh! Let's-a get outta here while he's-a distracted!” Mario, snapping out of the dazed funk, informed the group before running for the entrance. Producer-san nodded to the stocky plumber in response. “Yosh! Everyone, let's get out this place!
“Oh, hurry!” Ritsuko called out as everyone began to run for the entrance of the cave. Chihaya and Hibiki, thinking of Benjamin for a second, halted their movement for a bit before exiting the cave.

Two of the veteran Yoshis who helped Chief Yoshi in the past as well as and Moyoshi waited by the entrance in which the entire group, along with all the Yoshi kids, escaped.
“Hey, they're back!” The brown veteran called out as he caught sight of the group, as well as his red pal. “And they found all the kids!”
“Yoshi-boo! You're okay!” Moyoshi ran to Yoshi and Iori, who look a little singed but clearly much alive and well. “Hey, Mom!” Yoshi smiled at his mother, as did Iori. “Moyoshi-sama!”
The Yoshi kids run past the veterans to hurry to their parents, some however stopped, considering that the veterans WERE the parents!
“YO!!!” A familiar gruff voice echoed, getting Liboshi’s attention as he got off Chihaya’s arms. “Big Bro!”
“Liboshi, you're safe!” Boshi called out and ran to the small blue Yoshi... before bonking him on the head with his palm.
*BONK!*
“Aughk! What da heck was that for?!” Liboshi frowned while rubbing his hit part of the head.
“How the heck could you let yourself get kidnapped?! I taught you better, you little--... Grrrr, do you have any clue how WORRIED I was?!” Boshi scolded his little brother before beginning to crack up.
“Hey, hey, hey. Settle down! Don't-a flip-a your lid.” Mario tried to reason with Boshi, as did Luigi. “You should be nice-a to your little brotha, Boshi.”
“Gah... Sorry. This little guy's all Mom and Dad left behind they were... Squashed Bananas, you two, I couldn't hold it in after all the TRASH in my life I had to go through.” Boshi apologized to the brothers while trying to keep his tears In.
“Boshi...” Yoshi looked at his rival with concern, while it seemed Iori has started to have a bit of respect for the crude Yoshi... if only a little. “Wow...”
“What a big brother.” Takane spoke as she too seemed to have seconds thoughts about Boshi.
“But I got you guys and gals to thank for saving this lil' punk from certain death in that infernal place.” Boshi kindly smiled as he sighed in relief.
“Hey, thank this lady here, too, Big Bro! She saved me from falling in the lava!” Liboshi spoke as he walked to Chihaya.. who looked very crestfallen for a good reason.

“No... I'm no savior... I couldn't save anyone. And I couldn't save anyone who saves me...” Chihaya sadly turned her head away..

The other Idols, as well as Producer-san, realize why Chihaya was feeling down as memories of the time spent with Benjamin echoed in their minds.
(Ami & Mami) “Ben-nii...”
(Producer-san) “Benjamin-san...”
(Ritsuko) “...That was stupid...”
Xiaomu, realizing the fact as well, began to feel sad as she began to cry a bit. “Uuuuuuu...”
“I only knew him for only a short time. But... he made a noble sacrifice.” Reiji sadly frowned as he closed his eyes and crossed his arms in utmost respect, knowing that he once considered making that choice once as a silhouette of Benjamin appeared in the sky for a bit...
"Made a noble sacrifice? Please."
*End Theme with Record Scratch sound*
“Huh?!” Everyone reacted as they turned around as saw Benjamin still covered in some lava and spitting whatever lava got in his mouth into the ground, visibly alive and completely uncharred.
*Insert Theme: “Feline Curiosity” (Yumeria) (It’s a mystery, it is! ..Oh great, now I’m starting to talk like Neneko...)
“Ptoo. I've done A LOT of self-sacrifice A LOT MORE than anyone of you alive could know or understand! Besides, it's great to be known as a martyr without actually having to be dead, wouldn't you say?" Benjamin spoke with a smile as he wiped the last of the lava off his shoulder, which was more than enough for the jaws of everyone in the area to fall smak into the ground!
(Boshi) “What...”
(Liboshi) “Yowza!”
(Magikoopa) “WTH, Dood!!” (Heck, okay, to not cause trouble..)
(Eri) “OMG!”
(Dry Bones) “He ain't bones?!”
(Haruka) “B-B-BENJAMIN-KUN?!?!?!”
(Mario) “Double mama mia!”
(Luigi) “Holy Ravioli!”
(Takane) “Oh mai gah!”
(Hibiki) “Benjamin-san!?!”
(Daisy) “No way!!”
Yukiho, completely dumbstruck of seeing Benjamin ALIVE after seeing him fall in the lava, simply fell backwards and fainted, grabbing Makoto’s attention. “Yukiho!”
“No... no way... That's... That's impossible...!” Producer-san slumped to his knees with his glasses partly on, as did Ritsuko. “You took the words right out of my mouth... What the *coin* is this guy really?”
Iori, clearly frustrated of seeing Benjamin alive despite the high possibility of no one easily coming out alive after falling in the lava, yelled at Benjamin while readying a punch in the face. “BAKA!!! BENJAMIN-SAN NO BAKAAAAAAA!!!”
“Don’t even think about it.” Benjamin casually spoke as Iori’s punch made contact. Oddly, the punch on the being’s Yoshi nose did not move him, and because it is still hot from the lava, Iori’s gloved hand has caught fire!
“KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA- ITAI ITAI ITATATATATATATA!!!” Iori yelped as she ran all over blowing her ignited hand to blow out the flames, while the being just coolly stood at the spot. “Lesson: Anger makes you stupid. That multiplies for Tsunderes."

Just then, Chihaya quietly walked up towards Benjamin’s face. “What?" The interdimesnional cyan Yoshi asked.
“B-Baka...! Don't do that again... We... I thought you died...!!!” Chihaya choked and sobbed sadly.
“I get that a lot, too. It's impossible for someone dead to die again, especially when I was dead long before you even met me." Benjamin sighed, which made everyone pale on the spot.
*Insert Theme: “Naruto’s Daily Life” (Naruto)*
“Hey, whaddaya know, another dead guy! Welcome to the club!” Boo smiled as he grinned at Benjamin, which made Dry Bones scratch his bony head. “I don't think so, Boo. He's pretty much alive for someone who claims to be dead.”
Ritsuko, clearly looking completely annoyed and fed up with this malarkey as her scary purple aura has returned, stormed up toward Benjamin’s face with a scary growl. “Listen to me, you omnidimensional enigma! You better explain to me and everyone present WHAT OR WHO you are, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW! I am through with your mystery bull*coin*!!!”
Keeping a cool head, Benjamin coolly blew off the scary aura while starting to give his answer.“ ...As much you want to know...” The being then began to wag his finger with his other hand on his waist. “But I can't, cuz that would be s-p-o-i-l-e-r-s."

“GWAH?!?!?!” Ritsuko’s jaw fell down with her finger sticking out, unable to understand what Benjamin meant. Benjamin looked at the young producer’s stupefied reaction and gave a thumbs up!. "Spoiler Prevention successful!"

“Xiaomu, I'm never going to get this guy.” Reiji rubbed his head in confusion, with his partner just as bewildered as he is! “How can he do all that stuff? Is he like a deity or something?”
*Insert Theme: “Tropical Island” (Mario Party)*
“If everyone is done, shall we go back to the board in the Floral Field Forest?” Moyoshi asked the entire group, trying to get everything back into focus.
“Yes, shall we continue the party? Chief Yoshi will want to know of our success.” Peach nodded in agreement. Mario, happy that the incident is resolved, announced to everyone. “Yeah, let's-a continue da fun!” The announcement met with a cheering ovation from all of the group.
Before Benjamin made his stepes back, acertain Idol wanted to talk with him. "Hibiki?"
“Benjamin-san, you scared me and everyone else in that cave. But I'm glad you are unharmed, regardless of whatever you are.” Hibiki pleaded to the enigmatic being, with the Futami twins in tow, too worried to want to cause any trouble at the moment.
“But that was dangerous, Ben-nii! I thought I'd have a heart attack!” Mami grasped her chest, trying to catch her breath, as did Ami. “Yeah, Ben-nii! Please let us know when going to do stuff like that!”
“Sorry if I can't help that. But let's go back to having fun, awright?” Benjamin apologized to the three Idols, reassuring them as they head back. But unknown to everyone, something DID happen to Chief Yoshi while everyone was in the cave...

*Yoshi’s Island ~ Volcanic Region*

Poochy ran to a cliff, with Kotori’s hairband in its mouth, to see the volcanic region of the island. For years, the area was supposed to be dormant, but lately, the area has become active with billowing smoke rising into the air.
The worried hound whimpered a bit before it turned and ran away, hoping to inform Yoshi immediately...

Whew! What a chapter, going from intense to silly! But the Yoshi kids are safe and sound, but the group is unaware that Chief Yoshi are missing, thanks to the vengeful Kame. Can little Poochy run back to the Floral Field Forest and inform Yoshi? Find out next chapter!
Also, can’t have Reiji and Xiaomu without their signature attack in play, right? ..And what IS Saya up to now that her plans have ended up in smoke?
