Lequards are an Open Species created by me, CSPlushies.

You may use any of the traits shown, but they are assigned rarities so please keep that in mins when creating multiple designs!

Lequard roughly translates to "Liquid Leopard". They are very wolf-like in their heads and torsos but they have the large soft paws and tails of a snow leopard. Generally males have large maned plumes of brightly colored feathers while the females' are more sparse, but they have the ability to morph their appearance and gender to suit their fancy. So, one may start life as a female but you could change it to a male with a mane OR leave it sparsely feathered as a feminine male ect.

Lequards are omnivores, though they mostly prefer meat.

Lequards may live in groups of mixed families called Courts. Typically, a King or a Queen would rule over the pack, and the pecking order would go from Nobles to Commoners to the Jester, who is at the bottom of the ladder. The Jester is usually treated well though and has special protection from their King/Queen.

Lequards may live in any range of habitats, and their appearance usually matches their surroundings in some way (for example, a lequard living in the desert may have larger ears and shorter fur, whereas one living in a snowy setting may have thicker fur and lighter markings.)

As for the world they inhabit, they are native to a planet called Asteria. They are meant to be sentient feral creatures that populate the planet but you may use an anthro version for your own uses if you wish!

Asteria was at one point a very magical planet inhabited by Humans, Elves and Anthro Creatures. Over hundreds of years, the Elves vanished and the art of Magic was lost. Humans who believed the Anthro Creatures were inferior to them enslaved them and called them Beasts. For decades the Beasts lived underground in special labs, studied and dissected by scientists who yearned to revive Magic. One fateful day, after a huge nuclear war broke out on the surface, the Goddess Spirit of Astaria awoke and set off a train of event that unleashed natural disaster after natural disaster onto the planet, making it hard for all creatures to live.

A man named Stark studying Magic accidentally opens a portal in the sky and on top of all the other dangers, "demons" from the depths of space and time come pouring out onto the planet, wreaking havoc in their wake.

With the Human population greatly reduced, the planet of Astaria is able to slowly heal back to a natural state and flourishes for the local wildlife, including Lequards, who are protected by the spirit of the planet.
