The trailer shows the full MLP cast watching Twilight walk through a portal to the human world (or at least some variant of where technicolor skin is a normal thing). Hasbro is going out of their way to make this canon. It's a feature-film version of any other episode, it's disconnected from any major plot threads but still happened.

I'm not an MLP fan, and from the few episodes I've watched, Spike is the only characters that I like at all. Dogs are awesome, but... this is just humiliating for him.
