Why do pony skills look not significantly different from human? I suppose I would expect them to be fairly rounded, they have much shorter snouts than proper ponies (rather like we do versus some species of ape).

Actually, Blueblood is a great-great-with-even-more-great-nephew many times removed on Celestia's and Luna's mother's side, according to Lauren Faust; the Royal Princess Sisters don't have any children of their own.
