a commission comic I did for there's more comics by me on his page (maybe I will post them here someday), so give him a watch a llama or something (cake?)(*also I still think the royal guards are magic constructs made by Celestia*)

The two biggest "just let it go/who cares" things from the finale for me are:
If Twilight and her brother are so close, how come he was never mentioned before?
and
Why does Shining Armor sound like a surfer?
If all the guards are pretty much robots, then that last part makes sense.

Still there was never any opportunity for her to talk about him.
Tell me one episode where mentioning her brother would contribute to the plot or conversation.
Me and my brother are close but I don't go around mentioning him to people. Also there is the fact that he didn't even exist in paper before season 2 and we could always assume he was mention off screen.
Also Rarity parents cameout of nowhere and no one complained. Same goes for Sweetie Belle.

Theory#1: Twilight and her brother are so close that he's become one of those things we assume we've told our friends because it is such obvious and present knowledge to us.
Theroy#2: Shining Armor sounds like a surfer beca-- OBJECTION! Twilight's brother does not sound like a surfer! That is a perfectly normal way for a normal older male to talk!

I mean that in a guard where everyone else is pretty much a robot, someone who sounds like a surfer would rise through the ranks so fast because he's the only one with individuality.
