Let's plays on Animal Crossing can be awkward since it's more like a "Life Sim." You just go around and... Do things (catching bugs, fishing, selling stuff, talking to your neighbors). It's more of a chill game you play when relaxing.

Well, I agree that a let's play doesn't do this game justice, but I found a decent one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA3QUQβ¦ Besides, I've seen let's plays of Dwarf Fortress and it can be done. Since I don't own any Nintendo console and don't have plans to get one, watching a let's play is the best way for me to familiarise myself with this game. Yes, let's plays are better for games with a story, like The Legend of Zelda than a sandbox, like Animal Crossing, but at least now I understand the references. I've seen Rover the creepy cat, Isabel the cheerful and helpful secretary (and my favourite character so far), the Able sisters, the tent that you start with, the lamp Isabel gives you, the items that look like a leaf... I don't like it that NPCs will never help fund some public project or donate stuff to the museum and that the mayor has to do everything himself, but overall this is a nice, cheerful game and a great time sink.Β
