Actually it depends on the supernova and the size of the star, if the star is say, a red giant, and a large one at that, A Type 2A supernova should create a black hole. (I'm not sure if that's correct actually, I forget which supernova is which.) This is going off my crappy memory though, I haven't followed anything in astronomy for over a year now.

Bleh, high school doesn't teach me anything about Astronomy, I studied it myself for years through books and documentaries when I was younger. I still love the whole concept of the Universe but I don't really notice it much now.

Why not? It has a small mass, so it wouldn't last very long. Besides, black holes don't change the mass. One of that size wouldn't really affect Luna on a macroscopic scale. I don't think it would do much.
Although it is patently absurd that the star went supernova, so maybe we should just throw all known science out the window?
