Actually yes, Highmoon studios. whom made War for Cybertron and the Writers over at Studio B have there wonderful hands on Transformers Prime. Have easily driven wonderful storyline to the series with an amazingly dark tone.
And honestly if think bay's horrible movie could ever ruin Transformers you are sadly mistaken.

The movies are good in the sense of special effects, the thing is that a lot of Transfans didn't like the movies because of the way they portrayed the Transformers.
For example, Soundwave sounding like Dr.Claw instead of Soundwave.

Just listen to all those sexy voices, also please ignore the Robert O. Smith one, Cybertron was special...
Also in the sequel they resorted to using crude visuals three times in the movie and used dogs humping twice! Why, we don't want to see that?
And from what I've seen of the third movie they made Shockwave an idiot and they had Megatron get tricked into the saving Optimus by the chick who replaced Megan Fox and a lot of fans just don't like it because they feel like they treated the Transformers as guest stars in there own movies. Think about it how many times did the Transformers talked compared to the humans in the movie?

The thing that bothered me the most was the fact that the Autobots didn't take prisoners but the Decpticons did..........what's up with that?

Really the Decepticons took prisoners, was that in the third movie? I understand why they might have Optimus realizing that he's never gonna convince Megatron to give into peace and he has to kill him, but they've never had this idea of the Autobots killing every Decepticon.
Also one thing I realized was that Autobots and Decepticon seemed equal if not Autobots being stronger, when in most continuities the Decepticons are usually bigger, stronger and better built, making two or three Decepticons a handful for an Autobots squad.

Yea it's in the third movie, it takes a human to convince the Decpticreeps to kill the autobots.
It should be that Autobots are weaker one on one but work better as a team (that's how I always saw it)
