Backstory:
The week before Kai had evolved, the cubone had been impaled by dark crystals in which would cause them to be forced to back down from their position as a guard by the rest of the settlement. Unfortunately the settlement's healers weren't able to remove the crystals from their arm, having them dependent on using their right hand more frequently.
This didn't hinder them however, as they quickly learned to adapt. Even earning new markings on their skull, giving acknowledgement to their life-changing experience. Even as Kai evolved, the crystals have remained. Though they'd often use it to their advantage in battle.
