Chapter 8 – I'm sorry!

   "Brooke?" a soft voice came from behind me.

   I whirled around and saw Red, her eyes looked puffy and red, like she had been crying, "You…forgot your hoodie…"

   I froze, staring up at her.

   She placed the hoodie gently in my lap, "That's… all…"

   I hugged the hoodie, watching as she trudged slowly away. She disappeared behind a rock. I couldn't see her anymore… I jumped up, "Red!" I screamed, "Red come back!" I ran forward, she came back around the rock, looking stunned. I ran and jumped into her arms and hugged her tightly, sobbing, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry…"

   It was the first time I had ever see her cry… Tears streamed down her cheeks and they turned a soft burgundy color. She hugged me back tightly.

   "Im sorry" I continued, "I…"  I stared at her for a second and then kissed her hard.

   She kissed me back, wrapping her arms around me and we sank into a deep nothingness, spinning in electricity, but safe…
