Judging from today's episode and how it ended, yes.

A, definitely. However, A+... nope, not good enough.
The main problem was the pacing; at some parts excellent, others not so much. I think they might have spent too long with the candidature of Pipsqueak and that time would have been better invested in DiamondΒ΄s redemption. ItΒ΄s what happens in this show with the moments of redemption; they are too sudden. However, they do in fact compensate by making redeemed characters go back and forth, never falling hopelessly, but never reaching the same trust than their friends either. Discord is reformed; then becomes a jerk during his next two appearances. Finally he succumbs to temptation in the Season 4 finale, only to come back. And then we still see him struggle with the idea of friendship. ThatΒ΄s a good example of an aftermath.
I really hope they go that route with Tiara and make her mannerism hard to erase, but still with good intentions.
As for the rest of the episode, it was amazing. The visuals, the music, the topics it touched... I felt so sorry for Diamond Tiara during her first solo...
That was amazing. I also loved the song where the CMC try to convince her to change her ways; there was a lot of energy and urgency in that piece.
And the final song, with each of the CMCΒ΄s paternal figures telling them how proud they are of them... That was magnificent.

In which regard?
There are episodes which are golden pieces of comedy, while other, though not as entertaining, can be profound and endearing, while others are straight up epic.
This episode, however, in terms of emotional investment is one of the best. I liked Mystery Magic Cure a little better, but this one is still one of the best.

It's the first (other than the pilots) ep that I've watched of Season 5! Delightful,
and all the songs were amazing, like the finale of s3 (I think it was s3).

There was actually nothing I could find that was negative. Though for a half hour, they pulled it off. But if I had one LEGITIMATE complaint, it'd be the fact that they got their cutie marks at the end. If it was saved for the finale or something, that would have been grand but with the franchise celebrating its fifth anniversary, who am I to complain.

I thought they would have waited until the end of the show to give the Crusaders their cutie marks, although I'm actually quite glad they've surprised everyone by doing it early :')
