So I'm doing this thing where I draw a picture of the ninja, from each season. You know, with the different gi, and showing how their personality changes a bit as the seasons go along.

Rise of the Snakes:

Meeting Lloyd Garmadon! ("Super evil son of the super evil Lord Garmadon!") Also, discovering the mysterious Samurai X, who may not be so much of a mystery as the ninja think. Let's summarize, shall we?

The ninja have become slobs. Until the tiny tyrant who just wants some candy comes along. Not intimidated by Lloyd whatsoever, the ninja don't properly get rid of him, so he goes to get his revenge. By unleashing the Serpentine, an ancient army of humaniod snakes, who have no allegiances, they just want to take over Ninjago. After Lloyd releases snakes and gets betrayed not once, not twice, but three times! mini-Garmy stays aboard the Destiny's Bounty (the ninja's new HQ, since the old one was burnt down by snakes). Unfortunately, the kid's evil days are not done, and he pranks the ninja several times before finally settling down.
During all of this hullabaloo, the ninja discover a prophecy that states "one ninja will rise above the rest and become the Green Ninja." Not pausing to think that perhaps it might mean a new ninja entirely, they start fighting over who gets to become the Green Ninja in any way they can. From who can win in a sparring session, to who can unmask the mysterious samurai (who turns out to be Kai's sister, Nya). Kai is dead set on becoming the Green Ninja, and stubbornly convinces himself that once he unlocks his true potential, he'll become the Green Ninja. Of course, he unlocks his true potential last of the four.
First, Zane unlocks his true potential when he discovers that he's not a human, but an android, or nindroid, as Jay has dubbed him. Second, Jay unlocks his true potential when he finally "gets the girl" as the saying goes. Then, Cole unlocks his true potential when he admits to his father that he was a ninja (and his father fully accepts him, after storming angrily from the room of course). Finally, Kai unlocks his true potential when he puts aside his pride and saves the young Lloyd Garmadon. In the end, Lloyd becomes the Green Ninja, meaning that he would have to defeat his own father (dun dun duuuun! roll credits).

EASTER EGGS: The four candies Lloyd is holding are the colours of the four ninja.
