Description

This is Top Card, my Sphynx-Tabaxi Rogue/Wizard. He’s a mischievous agent of mild Chaos and is—outwardly—in it for only himself.
He will lie to anyone who asks about his past and tell them he was raised on the streets alone and by himself, having to fend off alley cats and street dogs for food, etc. When in reality he has a very loving older—adoptive human—mom who loves him more than life itself. She found him cold, and alone, on the streets as a tiny kitten; She was in her late 70′s, never married and never had kids. Upon realizing he was a tabaxi, not a normal kitten, she sold as many of her possessions as possible to afford being able to care for him. She as took up two more jobs to pay for a good education. He has a small birthmark on the top/back of his head that looks like a spade, which is how he got his name. (upon realizing he was a Tabaxi, his mother had already been calling him Top Card for months and couldn’t think of a better name by that point.)
He tells no one of her, because he knows the world if a cruel, harsh place, and is afraid if he DOES tell outwardly speak of her, the world will take her from him. So, he instead pretends to others she does not exist, and he himself is the only thing he has, because he genuinely believes that’s the best way to keep her safe.
She is his motive to explore the world. His plan is to, either: Bring back as many stories as possible to tell her before she passes—as she is now in her 90′s—or bring back her youth/make her immortal. Whatever comes first. He doesn’t care about immortality himself, he wants to make her immortal, because that’s the only thing he can think to start repaying her for everything she’s done for him. If immortality isn’t in the cards, he at least wants to tell her stories of places she had never been, as it was always her dream to explore the world.

The title is also a reference to something hidden in the picture!
