Quick greyscale speedpaint (?) of something that's been in my mind for a while, and to my pleasure it came out pretty close to what I was imagining. I was thinking of what it must be like to be an elf - the ethereal, magic, thousands of years living elf of Tolkien and Record of Lodoss War, the kind who cannot naturally die but can be killed... Time is but a breeze in their hair, as are mortal ken. Civilizations rise, then fall and they watch the passing of races and cultures...

For an elf that might think about it, even briefly... that must seem very lonely.

Painted to: Thomas Bergersen's Illusions album, particularly Merchant Prince, Rada and Illusions.

note: coz I'm a derp when it comes to uploading stuff on devart, I tried to make a print version, then realized that at 600 dpi devart doesn't allow for prints. So there are comments there and not here, but these are the same pictures.
