In the days after the anniversary, SMG4 began to look into the mystery around the SMGs and the Guardian Pods as well as the Avatar. However, he went crazy as he tried to figure it out. Peach noticed and sent Mario down to the castle basement. Mario knocked out SMG4 and took him to his room aka the Secret Slide Painting room, then he tied him to a stretcher just before the meme man woke up. SMG4 claimed he wasn't crazy and just wanted to understand what was going on before starting to tell Mario that Zero's name was SMG0 (which was actually right retroactively) but was cut short when Mario bonked him.
