Super Meme Guardian Zero aka SMG0 (or just Zero) was a normal entity living a peaceful life in another universe until a cataclysmic event resulted in his avatar dying and Zero changing into an evil virus. Hungering to consume all universes and rebuild his own, SMG0 embarked across the multiverse, consuming many worlds in his path. He eventually made his way to Toy-Toy Kingdom and destroyed its avatar Spudnick there, resulting in the destruction of that universe.

Zero was opposed by SMG1 and SMG2, who sealed him away within a Guardian Pod. However, Zero tried to escape and lost an arm, which went after the two SMGs as they headed to another universe. Eventually, Zero ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom in the SMG4 universe and began seeking out Mario. As he searched for that world's avatar, Zero captured and drained the life out of many Mario recolors while taking up residence in a cathedral in the Dark Web in Rockford.

Years later, during the 10 year anniversary of SMG4's channel, Zero finally found Mario along with SMG4 and SMG3. However, he was defeated and sealed away again in SMG3's Guardian Pod by SMG1 and SMG2. This did not last long as Zero soon escaped, still determined to destroy the universe and build a new one. After following Mario and SMG4 to SMG1's USB, he was able to bring his own USB along with the rest of his body to the Mushroom Kingdom.

The final phases of SMG0's endgame set in when he captured the manga artist Axol and took possession of his own body, he then proceeded to lure Mario, SMG4 and SMG3 into the Dark Web cathedral before imprisoning them in SMG3's Guardian Pod. However, the SMGs managed to escape but not before Zero had Mario in his clutches. Despite resistance from Mario's gang of friends, Zero began the final phase of his plan to build a new universe. But in the end, after one final battle, the evil virus was destroyed along with Axol… or so it seemed…

Note: While this is Zero's true form, he was mostly seen either as an arm or an eye or in Axol's body...
