Sometime following the last big fight with Doctor Eggman, Tails was chilling at his house, thinking of new inventions while watching a monster movie when he heard an odd noise outside and went out to check. And that was when he saw Minilla/Minya/Milla, the son of Godzilla (from the Showa timeline). And seeing him right there, Tails was confused. He thought this was someone in a costume messing with him, but when he figured that it wasn't and realized this was a real being, Tails wondered what was going on and ruled out that he'd been doing some strange transdimensional experiments. Yes, we all wonder how a monster wound up in a world where monsters like Godzilla aren't supposed to exist.
