Description
This is Mister Steve Martin (Raymond Burr), reporter for United World News. In 1954, almost a decade after World War II, Martin was traveling to Cairo when he dropped by in Tokyo to meet with his old friend Doctor Serizawa. However, his arrival coincided with the sinking of ships and he soon joined the expedition to Odo Island. During the second visit, he saw Godzilla make his appearance (even though he'd glimpsed him on the night of his first visit). Not long after, he would be there to witness Godzilla's rampage in Japan and would watch as the Oxygen Destroyer obliterated the beast. Over thirty years later, Mr. Martin would be called in as an advisor by the United States military amidst the rise of a second Godzilla and watched as Doctor Hayashida trapped the Kaiju in Mount Mihara.

And no, he is not to be confused with the comedian Steve Martin.
