yeah, yeah, yeah ... whatever ... a digital result will never see itself projected onto fibre photographic paper.

i'm finding that all of my favourite lenses are working splendidly with the leica m8.
and, no, my "c" would never be dressed by "b" in her pajamas.

leica m8. noctilux 50/1.0 (bastardized into a 66mm). 1/90th at f/1.0 at 320 iso. shot in leica's b/w mode and adjusted for levels and +8 contrast.

ya, bastardized and fucking digital with a kodak sensor and a copal shutter. I only hope this will help leica survive and that they will continue to develop film cameras, both M and R...

again, the nocti on m8. wow. well, my car isn't even worth as much as a nocti. actually, is the brand new nocti worth just as much as the m8? i guess... don't remember.
fiber prints... there are some piezography enthusiasts (that's what they call printmaking from digital using special pure black inkjet inks) and although the calibration, ink supply and other technicalities can be a pain in the neck, they still come up with some nice prints. but yeah, still, my $50 enlarger on the cheapest czech-made paper is a more fun alternative... if only i had more time to make prints. oh, whatever.
anyway, that shot is crazy. i do think it'd be sharper using some other lens, but the slight fuzzy feeling makes this one even more cosy, cuddly, fluffy... if only the facial expression (i guess dogs can have facial expressions, right?) wasn't so... mean? there's no warmth in its eyes. like, uhm, you can expect it to actually bite your finger, and you might even come to think that it could gladly bite your ass off if it was bigger.
