its steps dance across the ground, light enough that it leaves no footprints.the spirit hesitates when it stumbles across the remains in its path, a foot delicately hovering near the sun-bleached bones.
perhaps, it finds solace in finding this fallen one. they are both ghosts now, a mere husk of what they once were, what they could have been, what they used to have.
it's time to rest, little one. your journey is over.
