Description
Silene, the angel that Ithius fell in love with. She is actually one of the more powerful angels of her world, but a shy and guarded person. She met Ithius as she was being led away from a riot he was leading - their eyes met once, and later they managed to find eachother again. Sappy, unlikely, and more contrived than the story already was.

I made this piece mostly to illustrate how to draw a figure in flight - and from the back, at that. The lineart itself was drawn on paper, with a 7 mm lead refillable pencil, of which I have photos I will put up in a small how-to gallery. I then scanned the picture into Photoshop CS 3 and coloured it, googled for a nice cityscape, stuck it behind her and put in a lens flare. Et voila, a pretty picture with shades and everything that really looks like the sun is peeking from behind the tower. I really like how this turned out, so here it is!
