Description
The Lonely CastleIt stands there
Alone in the meadow
Four large towers
Struggling toward the sky
Ivy dripping down its sides
Reaching out with tenacity
Quietly smothering the stone
Resisting the heavy shadows
That threaten to engulf it
In dusty forgetfulness
Nothing it can do but sit there and wait
For it's stone walls cannot bare it much longer
The wooden bridge hovers
Stranded in oblivion
Hanging between heaven and earth
Longing for a rest
For the chains have long since rusted
Within the empty halls
Tapestries sag and fade
The strands of fabric speak an untold past
Yet nobody is there to hear the story
Only the dust whispering in
Bullets of light which pour in
Through a ceiling pierced by
Time

This rocks. I've never seen Braveheart (shocking, isn't it?)... but it reminds me of a documentary I saw on Ireland, it feels like a castle in it..

Way to go in giving a castle feeling.. The title suits it very well.. It actually brought back to mind the scene from BraveHeart where MelGibson returns to his fathers castle to find it barren.. nice..
