ShadowsIn the deepest darkest corner of life
The shadows await
Just waiting for someone to come within their grasp
To reach out and suck them into their sorrow
From the world of the colorful
To that of the faceless
The shadows cry out for someone to care
But people walk by without a glance
Without out looking to see who the shadows may be
Empty faces looking for someone to care
Hollow souls looking for someone to share the pain of reality
They are there, yet not there
Only a whisper in a forest of screams
They will continue to wear the mask that has been their existence
Until someone releases the joy that's inside
For the shadows have been waiting for someone
