Description
I figured it was time to redraw an old oc. Solaris is one of my favorites in both design and story.

Backstory:

Before the war Solaris was a student at a medical and science school where Ratchet taught. He was a bright young mind and quickly became a favorite student of the older mech. Solaris was a mind ahead of his time, often running circles around the professional teachers in knowledge. Eventually Solaris and Ratchet became friends outside of school as well, Ratchet even introduced him to his close friend Orion Pax. Solaris and Orion were fast friends through their shared love of academics. After the war began Solaris was an autobot scientist in both the medical field and weapons development. In fact Solaris came up for the design of Orion's (now Optimus) double barrel plasma blasters which he only installed on Optimus and his first lieutenant Ultra Magnus. Despite the war Solaris was thriving as one of the autobot's most valued scientists. However nothing stays the same...

The lab that Solaris worked out of was attacked during a decepticon invasion and Solaris was taken captive. Upon realizing he would not work with them no matter what they put him through Solaris was given to Shockwave. After using the cortical psychic patch to take any useful information Shockwave elected to use Solaris as his personal lab rat. The horrors Solaris was subjected to eventually drove him to insanity. This madness combined with the new abilities that came from Shockwave's experiments caused Solaris to be far too dangerous. Eventually it came to the point where Shockwave was forced to put him in stasis to prevent him from causing an issue for decepticons and autobots alike.

Eons later on the planet earth Solaris reawakened. Solaris had been taken aboard the Nemesis when the decepticons had abandoned Cybertron, and he was kept in stasis deep within the ship. However, due to a system failure on the ship Solaris was awakened from his eons long slumber...
