They originally planned on having the last few minutes of the Tenth Planet from 1966 recreated using the new Mondasian Cybermen and David Bradley playing the 1st Doctor in the beginning in Capaldi's (I think it was) last Christmas special before regenerating into the 13th Doctor, The episode Twice upon a time leading up to the 1st Doctor regeneratig into the 2nd Doctor. They deleted this scene though. I personally would have absolutly no problem with BBC remaking the entire episode "Tenth Planet".
