Description
After having played Transformed, I've gotten a better idea of how the cars should look like. Here is a new vehicle for Vectorman called Vertice, named after a point or corner in a polygon. It's based on Vectorman's tank form and inpired by my redesign.
The purpose of Vectorman's redesign is to show that he doesn't have to be loose-limbed to look true to himself. While more robot-like, I think I managed to capture his look and feel from the Genesis games.
When transformed, only Vertice's wheels change position, in a similar fashion to Amy's Pink Cabriolet. The wheels are actually not attached to the car, but rather connected through a force similar to Vectorman's orbs in his original design.
In flight, the wheels become wings in triangle formation going out from wide to narrow. The inner sides of the wheels each have a propulsion system in the centre, again like Amy's car. The wings tilt to steer. The two exhausts turn pointing straight backwards.
On water, the wheels are face down under the car to form some kind of floatation units alligned 2x6. The front two units are slightly tillted upwards on the front. The exhausts are positioned the same as on land.
In All-Star, 3 green orbs circle Vectorman. The Item button lets Vectorman shoot balls of energy that have no homing. You'll hear the classic 16-bit shooting SFX from the Vectorman games. The music is a remix of Oshin Thing a.k.a. Day 3: Ocean.
