Backstory

Hailing from the planet Ruthariel, a remarkable planet that exists in a binary star system, Malachi grew up in an extremely religious environment that worshiped the god of Chaos, Vor’rathix the Annihilator. The Vor’Shazhithan people always went on about how they were awaiting for a Messiah that would be sent by Chaos itself to halt once and for all the eternal sunlight which bathed the planet, causing young Malachi to become an extreme and devout followers. Malachi would attend all religious meetings he could, discuss how the Messiah would arrive, and so on.
As Malachi grew older, he became more aware of the unique challenges that Ruthariel faced due to its binary star system. The eternal sunlight brought both blessings and curses. While it provided ample warmth and energy for the planet's flora and fauna, it also created extreme temperatures and made certain regions uninhabitable.
Then came the fateful day when a rival faction, from the far away planet of Caeliara, known as the followers of Zephyrion of the Six Winds, sought to impose their beliefs on the planet. The followers of Zephyrion worshiped a deity called Zephyrion of the Six Wings, the Resurgence, who advocated to further establish more colonies in the universe to bring forth its eternal winds. They believed that their faith was the only rightful one sought to eliminate all opposition, including the Vor’Shazhithan faith.
The conflict between the Vor’Shazhithan followers of Vor’rathix and the Zephyrion zealots escalated into a brutal and devastating war. The followers of Zephyrion unleashed powerful weapons of destruction, causing massive casualties and untold suffering. This tragic event left a deep scar on Malachi's soul, as he witnessed the devastation of his homeworld and the ruthless massacre of his people. They would eventually be driven out, but the Vor’Shazhithan followers would never recover from the massacre.

In the aftermath of the massacre, Malachi's faith in the prophecy of a Messiah sent by Chaos was further reinforced. He believed that the horrors he had witnessed were a sign of the need for a divine savior to bring balance and justice to Ruthariel. Malachi's obsession with the arrival of the Messiah grew stronger, as he yearned for a leader who could unite the surviving Vor’Shazhithan people and deliver them from the tyranny of the followers of Zephyrion.

Something in this astonishing turn of events sparked a revelation in Malachi's mind. He began to see the murderer, the newfound god of Astralitha, as the very Messiah he had long sought. "Since the prince consumed Chaos's core, he must have become Chaos incarnate," he surmised. The notion of a mortal ascending to godhood inspired him profoundly, prompting him to abandon his home planet in pursuit of the newly anointed deity he now wished to follow. He became a stray, waiting for his  new master to pick him up.

Malachi's quest to find his Messiah took him on an odyssey spanning countless worlds and enduring many years. His journey was one of determination, faith, and unyielding devotion to the newfound deity who had ascended from mortal to godhood—Sinsuh, the Dream.

As Malachi traveled from planet to planet, his unwavering commitment to his mission was impossible to ignore. His reputation as a devout seeker of Sinsuh grew with every world he visited. Even in the vast cosmos, where countless stories and beings existed, Malachi's fervor was a beacon that attracted attention.
Eventually, the day of destiny arrived when Sinsuh the Dream, the former mortal prince who had become a deity, appeared before Malachi. Curious as to why this persistent seeker had sought him out, Sinsuh listened as Malachi opened his heart wide, revealing every fragment of his unwavering faith and devotion.
In that sacred moment, as Malachi poured out his soul to the god who had become his Messiah, Sinsuh was genuinely impressed. He saw in Malachi the embodiment of faith, a devoted follower who had traversed the cosmos in search of the divine. Touched by the depth of Malachi's commitment, Sinsuh extended an offer.
He asked Malachi if he wished to become his servant, an emissary of the Dream. Overwhelmed by emotion and gratitude, tears welled up in Malachi's eyes, and he accepted the offer without hesitation. Thus began his extraordinary journey as an envoy of the Dream, dedicated to spreading Sinsuh's message throughout the cosmos and fulfilling his newfound role with a heart brimming with faith and purpose.
