For Mortal Kombat 3, when it first came out, I would have Reptile a 15th Playable Character. How would I get away with this with MK3 initially not wanting all those ninjas? I would have him sport a different design at least to start with, that's basically his Deadly Alliance Design, even if I didn't show that here. Then for Ultimate MK3, instead of having both Sub-Zero Designs separate, I would have the classic either saved for Trilogy or something, and have "Khameleon" introduced. Then MK Trilogy. Same with instead of 2 separate Smokes, have Chameleon a independent box.
Reptile would play apart in defending Earthrealm alongside Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax, Nightwolf and so forth, and by this point maybe a small detail of him seeking a spot in Earthrealm to call home. Khameleon would be the love interest of surprise Female Saurian that's wondered this domain hoping to find a Male to breed with, and of course the 2 would ship and push significantly to ensure Shao does not succeed in his invasion.
As for Chameleon, he'd be revealed to be taking Reptile's Place as Saurian Assassin, and be the biggest main obstacle in Reptile and Khameleon's way.
