"We need to go to the Gym" Panted Lisa as she dragged herself into drivers seat.

Jolie and Lisa were out of shape, the roomies knew that much after their first hike together since forever. After clambering back into their car, panting and wheezing from the mountain climb, the two friends committed to find a gym to get back some of that muscle they had in their teens. When they got home, they saw an Ad for CybusGyms in the mail. Luckily, the price fit their budget.

In the first week, the two went in only once, being greeted by their free personal trainer for the day. She was a pretty blonde by the name of Isa that took them around the place, gave them free water bottles and sweatshirts before starting their first workout together. It was rough but in the end, it was a good pain.

In the second week, the two went in twice. Jolie wore the earpods they had recommended them to wear, said the music was able to get her to focus more. That sure as hell paid off, she ran nearly twice as far on the treadmill. Both girls bought the CybusEnergy drinks from the gym happily, eager for rejuvenation as they chatted with their fellow gym goers.

In the third week, the two went in three times. Both were wearing the Earpods now. Lisa was reluctant but found how easy it was to focus on the music, it kept her motivated, it kept her going, she should listen to the music.

In the fifth week, the two went in four times. Both were listening to the workout guides now. Both were now showing their work, their fat shredding away. But they had to keep working, had to keep going. Their schedules were strict, measured, two hours of fitness before cool down. They enjoyed going to the gym.

In the eight week, the two went in five times. They awoke at 5 Am, as they always had, getting dressed and cleaning themselves. They left their apartment and did their morning run for forty five minutes on the dot. They returned and showered. Hoping into the car, the drove to the Gym and entered. They turned on their instructions and obeyed them to the letter, for the results spoke for themselves. Without a word, they joined Isa in warming up for the day. After two hours and thirty minutes of workout, the two suddenly felt the urge to take a selfie together and post it on their social media. it was the first time they smiled all day.

In the twelfth week, the two went in five times a day. They awoke at 5 Am, as they always had, getting dressed and cleaning themselves. They left their apartment and did their morning run for forty five minutes on the dot. They returned and showered. As Jolie was getting dressed, Lisa suddenly received a call on her earpods. Startled from her morning routine, she answered. It was her sister. They chatted briefly and she mention the brunch they were going to have in two hours. Oh my gosh, she completely forgot!

Hanging up, Lisa went to Jolie as she exited from her bedroom.

"Hey Jolie, can't come to the gym today, I have brunch with my sister."

Jolie stopped, staring at her, her earpods blinking, no emotion on her face.

"You remember my sister right...w-"

"We need to go to the Gym"

"Listen, I can miss one d-"

"We need to go to the Gym." Again, like a robot.

Lisa was about to protest more when her earpods blinked. She began to think.

"I...Uh..."

She was right. They were out of shape, they needed to maintain their bodies. Good citizens keep their bodies in shape. Good gym goers listen to their earpods. Her face slowly slackened.
