What are the odds that she is a kept woman who's patron is a shabbily dressed, monocled old fart -- who despite telling it to her all the time makes it very clear by way of a palpable shroud of fear that she is in fact not free to leave this gilded prison cage any time that she might like. Might that incriminating crimson trail across a highly polished marble floor be an indication that our Girl's done something rash.

Great colors! I think the contrast between the cold(even a bit surreal) blue tones, and the soft red fabric, worked out really good.
And I love how the viewer can interpret the story in the picture in so many ways. It's too tempting not to write a story about it

There's something very classic, and very powerful in this piece. I just really, really like it. Wonderful work on the composition of this, from the jarring red, to the soft, lulling greys and blues.
