I've always thought that about So-Cal, especially the West Hollywood hills around the Getty. Although I've never been to Italy all the pictures I've seen seem to mirror Cali (or Cali mirrors Tuscany) I love the hint of the hills on the left and the expanse over white on the right, with the mingling of trees all around the houses. It gives it a misty sleepy feel.

yeah that's one thing i always liked seeing in so-cal...those tall, thin, deeply green trees (no idea what their name is) planted in rows of half a dozen....the ones to the right of that street are a good example. nice day too. and nice view.
