Affogatoheart looked up at Rapidfrost as she prepared to leave the den. "Where are you going?"

"Outside, to help Goldendust."

Rapidfrost knew Affogatoheart was confused. "Goldendust? The Canyonclan shecat? But I thought we were restocking herbs today!"

She looked at the tom, feeling guilt prickle her like ants. "I need to help her get rid of Loudstar."

Affogatoheart looked at her in shock, wondering why she could partake in such a taboo activity.

"Get rid of Loudstar? But Rapidfrost, he's a leader!"

Rapidfrost began to explain. "Affogatoheart, I'm serious. Loudstar is a hateful disgrace of a leader. He's kicked Goldendust out of the clan due to her mate."

He looked at the shecat in shock. "But...why? Why would Loudstar do this?"

"He says that romantic relationships between shecats are forbidden," Rapidfrost continued. "Goldendust doesn't know what to do."

Now that he had heard this information, Affogatoheart wanted to go with Rapidfrost. "I wanna come!"

"I'm sorry but you can't. I don't want you dying."

"Oh, alright then."

Rapidfrost went up to Goldendust, who was outside the camp.

"Are you ready?" Rapidfrost asked.

"I'm not sure."
