In my innocent mind I see every source of food in the Pokemon world as coming from plants or the soil, but I guess fish also didnt seem unlikely

I always knew a few PokΓ©mon were eaten by humans and other PokΓ©mon. The Poke Dex entries wasted no time and there have been one or 2 slip ups in the past days on the anime but I also figured that with how eco friendly the PokΓ©mon world is there probably not major major meat eaters unlike us haha

in all fairness I always took the Pokedex as a sort of mythical or shitpost kind of item lol (sort of how creepypasta works or something)

but I also accepted partially that yes some pokemon were "eaten behind the scenes", but no thinking about it ever went over

He's based on a cormorant. I don't know much about the temperaments of cormorants but I think I've heard that they're related to pelicans.

Also, fun fact: In some Asian cultures, cormorants are trained by fishermen to catch fish, which I think Cramorant's behavior might have been based on!
